After finding Urban Fresh about 18 months ago, we made a point of going there for a special meal every 3 or 4 months. The restaurant was always unusually quiet which is nice when you just want to eat and chat.
We recommended it to anyone who would listen.
There were so many great things on the menu but there was a cubed bacon starter and the Korean Fried Chicken that we often ordered and were the main reason for the 40 minute drive just to get there.
We hadn't visited over Christmas so it was the obvious choice for Valentine's day.
Well, what a disappointment. Urban Fresh is now Urban Italia it's just a load of pasta and pizza. Not really the sort of thing we would go out to eat. We both had the burger which was alright but not worth £18. Sadly we won't be rushing back unless the menu changes.
As ever, the staff are great, attentive and polite. You normally have to stand by the desk for 5 to 10 minutes before someone walks past and sees you but it has always been like that.
Well this place closed up last year 2021, so there is no food, no drinks, No menu, no phone, its been sold off and long gone, so better to go somewhere else as you can't go here

For those looking to munch some box, look no further. Teas are sweet, chickens are humanely sourced and benches are pigeon poo free. The staff are easy on the eye and willing to please.

This is without doubt the best pub in the world! The landlord and his wife are brilliant, the food and beer is excellent and it’s hilarious listening to a load of posh farmers jawing on about shooting and sheep. The real deal!!

Chicken wings have been added to the menu. They are available in 4 different flavours. We tried the salt and pepper wings and they were out of this world.I would highly recommend them.
This is now actually called the Alde Cafe. I’ve been twice in the last three days. There are fancier places along the High Street, but you will not get a better meal there than you will find at the Alde. Sean is a brilliant cook who prepares every dish with both flare and a respect for tradition. It was the best fry up I have had in the last twenty years, and a welcomed alternative to the recent tendency of serving them up in thali dishes, with about a tablespoon of beans in one and a cubic centimeter of toast in another. I just had the kedgeree, which was magnificently prepared with haddock from the smokehouses along the Shingle. There are many reasons to come to ever-beautiful Aldeburgh. But I’d rank breakfast or lunch at the Alde Cafe at the very top of my list.
Popped in for a quick take-away to have on the train Took the Norfolk Pasty Well filled with good meat and veg, enough gravy (not too much to get down my front!) and lovely pastry.
Staff were really friendly and helpful And the place was busy - always a good sign
Visited recently, adequate menu, order food at the bar.
We had Scampi & Chips, prawn salad with chips and Pizza. Nice food served fairly quickly and the young staff were very friendly and efficient.
We will revisit when in the area.
Have visited before when there has been a car show so was really busy then and had promised ourselves to come back. We were not disappointed. Lovely clean and tidy little place with a great well priced menu and charming friendly staff. We both opted for omelettes with three fillings which were delicious. The breakfasts looked great as well. We will certainly visit again. There is ample parking on site, just make sure you enter your registration details on the screen.
Excellent place for a bit of breakfast! My husband and I decided to give this place a go having heard from a friend about it. We were amazed at the prices of the menu and the choices of food! The staff were lovely and the food was very nice too. Such great value for money and a lovey little place to go for a bit of breakfast or lunch at the weekend!
