Golden City in North Hertfordshire

Chicken wings have been added to the menu.They are available in 4 different flavours.We tried the salt and pepper wings and they were out of this world.I would highly recommend them.

Golden city came highly recommended on the local facebook group. After some disappointing just eats from other takeaways we are glad we tried golden city, hot tasty food and great service

I love Golden City, their food is lovely and tasty and always piping hot. The staff are all lovely and friendly, when I’ve had a question about a dish they’ve always been helpful. As someone who has ordered regularly, they have remembered me and my order - it’s lovely touches like that, that make Golden City special Dishes I recommend are the aromatic crispy duck - crispy and melts in your mouth and the beef in oyster sauce, again the beef just melts in your mouth I love it. My favourite takeaway. I always make sure I have cash so I can order again.

Definitely the best Chinese around town.. Tried pretty much all of them.. They are very polite, you can see the chefa cooking, the front of house staff amazing.. Only bad thing... no delivery hahaha 😆 😅 🤣 😄 but still Definitely 100% worth going.. everyone we recommend there has never been disappointed ❤ miss Mimi 😄 🤣

Nice food & nice people. Been a few times and I personally enjoy the food.

Since moving to Arlesey a year ago we have found it hard to find a decent Chinese takeaway. We found Golden City last night and I have to say the food was lovely. Pipping hot and tasted great. Customer service was also perfect. We have definitely found our new takeaway 🙂

My favourite Chinese Takeaway, I've been visiting here since I was a child, unless we are away I don't go anywhere else. Food and Service is exceptional.

Good Chinese food,free prawn crackers. As with all chinese, maybe for tax reasons, it's Cash only though.

Why put mushrooms in a Chinese chicken curry..I'm allergic to mushrooms...just wasted 10 quid...not bloody happy...never again..doesn't say mushrooms on the menu...🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

Best Chinese iv ever had love it

I had a take away from here the other night and it was the best Chinese food I’ve had in a very long time. Everything was very tasty and scrumptious! Nothing was over fried, so the food was less greasy. I would highly recommend the place.

Been ordering from here since I lived in the area, very delicious food and you get a lot for your money. The lady that served me is super friendly. Great food, great price.

Food is good, prices OK and front of house staff absolutely lovely, but doesn't take card payment, only cash! I was absolutely flabbergasted - wasted 10min driving to the nearest cashpoint in town while my food got cold. It's 2021, and especially post-Covid I can't believe a takeaway doesn't accept cards. Would have been 5 stars otherwise. I do rarely have cash I'm not sure I'll be able to use this service again. Please sort it out!

The welcome was great the lady, asked how i was, thats lovely to hear. I ordered my food and upon arrival it was ready. £1.00 for prawn crackers normally free, but i understand times are hard. The food was nice and hot, great size, i had food left for the next day. Not too expensive. The venue looked clean. And the staff member at the front desk was lovely. Thank you

Excellent service and food. My local was closed, as are most on a Monday night and was desperately wanting to splurge on a Chinese. The service from front of house was outstanding, truly the definition of excellent service, the order was processed within 15-20 minutes and the food was very satisfying with good hearty sized portions. As my local is 30 seconds from my door this might not be my first choice out of convenience as I live 15 minutes away but should I ever have a hankering on a Monday night for a Chinese they will be my first choice, additionally I would highly recommend to anyone in the local area. WORST Chinese food I have experienced ever. Went here as my usual Chinese Takeaway was closed today and ordered my usual. Sloppy, tasteless and no substance. I ordered 2 spicy dishes which were as bland as it gets. Might as well of ordered egg fried rice and not Singapore fried rice. I dont know what or how they cooked this but it was tasteless. The Kung pao chicken, was sloppy, no spice and very watery. Chow main was awful to with no taste. Never again. AVOID
