First time visiting the Letchworth branch - the range & quality of the gelatos are just as fabulous as the Hitchin branch! Sitting in the sunshine reliving summer holiday gelato tasting but only a cycle ride from home! Yummy

Great service and an amazing experience overall

Stumbled across this icecream shop after a walk around letchworth. Very high end Gelato and the owners were full of knowledge while chatting to them about all the different flavours they make and creations. Superb icecream (Gelato) the best I've tried in the UK

Turned up on a hot busy day. The staff were all working extremely hard and were polite and friendly. The range of Gelato flavours was amazing. I tried their famous Henry Hippo with twister. Both blew my mind at how they tasted like the real thing. Portion size and price was what I'd expect to pay as it's all hand made by them. This is the best Gelato I've come across in Europe. Excited to go back to try some more flavours.

Surly staff, portions given depend on whether they like the look of your face and hugely over priced. Tables need wiping and the staff attitude overall dismissive and rude. Over rated because they have zero local competition.

Hannah & Bex and the rest of the team were so lovely helping me arrange a little surprise anniversary trip for me and my partner. They go above and beyond to give those little extra touches. Super staff, great gelato and wonderful all-round ❤️ P.s I still highly recommend a Cinnamon Bun ice cream flavour next! I'll buy several tubs.

We visited as a family of 3 on a Saturday night hoping to get some waffles. We ordered three waffles each with two scoops of gelato. The gelato was lovely good amount of variety sadly no coffee flavours. The waffles on the other hand were pretty dreadful. As this is a dessert restaurant you would expect freshly made waffles especially as they cost £8 each however the waffles were the small square ones you buy in a multipack that you warm in a toaster or microwave. What then happened was as soon as the cold ice cream was placed on top, the waffle became hard and crispy. You could only hack through it with a knife. So disappointed to drive all that way to get a waffle you could buy at Aldi that was hard and unpalatable. The gelato was lovely but the waffle was terrible

I’ve not been disappointment , it’s all been delicious and I’ve so much more to try….😋🍨🍦🍧 I’ll definitely be recommending this place to friends and family 🙂

Came here with a family of 6 for fathers day. We were all excited about trying the 500 flavours they boasted. But when we got in there they had 10 basic flavours and absolutely no customer service. I asked whether they had menus the server with curly hair just said no bluntly and didn’t bother to help us. I then spotted a “order menu” on the side which was confusing because it was just for Sundays and waffles but not cones. When there’s 6 of you and it’s a tiny crowded shop it’s difficult to get everybody up to the counter to choose there’s hardly any space to move around. Another very rude tattooed server looked fed up to be serving us and kept snapping anything else! Like she said wanted to just be done with us. Honestly felt like walking out!!! But when you have children who are excited to be there it’s not that easy. Basic tip for you - it doesn’t matter how good the ice cream is if there’s no decent customer service !!!!! Also I’ve got my popcorn ready waiting for the owner to argue back with me like he has done in all the other reviews who rated them as rude!!!!!

This was so bad the server was so rude and practically waved me away they used their bare hands to scoop the ice cream a friend was waiting outside and then one of the women working there death glared her for literally just standing outside waiting for me to get my ice cream which by the way was disgusting and I found a hair in there and it took them forever to serve me because they were too busy chatting with each other. Over all zero stars just go to mr whippys ice cream van :(((

We saw this during our visit to area, and after having dinner decided we would go for it as the sun was still out... kids went for Bubblegum flavour (they have no idea what the flavour of bubblegum is, they just liked the colour!), wife went for mandarin and I went for Marzipan. All of them were incredibly tasty.

Amazing service and an amazing range of delicious flavours which keep you going back over and over again. These guys have shaken up the ice cream world and have pushed vanilla to the curb. (They however make an outstanding vanilla icecream) The gelato cake range they have created is out of this world. The Birthday cake game has been changed. Thankyou for our amazing birthday cake.

Just wonderful gelato the only issue is which flavour to choose I prefer the quirky ones but my husband likes the traditional ones. Staff are very friendly. Saw other reviews about price but I think it is very fair price compared to competitors, especially as our other favourite gelato shop is in Naples!

Great selection of ice creams, and the coffee was fab too! My kids enjoyed a sundae called Cookie Monster - was lovely 😊

Best ice-cream I've had in a very long time

At £3 for one scoop, £4 for two you would expect a full size scoop. Unfortunately the portions are really small with the server putting ice cream back in the tub from their scoop. We also got a bit of a rude welcome because we arrived 15 mins before closing on a Saturday night. We wouldn’t have stayed past closing but were made to feel unwelcome to left mid ice cream.

A real treat, all three flavours I had really packed a punch and danced on your taste buds. The fruit tasted so fresh, the coffee flavour, which may just have been my favourite, was really strong. Lovely little cafe area to eat in, tables and chairs outside to enjoy in the sun or just takeaway.

Why 2 stars? well ice cream was great as we knew it would be however coffee was terrible, it was burnt, it was served in the smallest cup possible and at £2.40 rip off, the chairs where dirty and sticky as I stuck to mine and marked my cloths, not sure I would return and £ 17.00 for 4 icecreams was well over priced but upside staff was ok, would I return not sure nor would I recommend at the prices they charge

They have vegan ice-cream and it is labelled. Polite staff and cool inside!

Visited notice the Gelato was very expensive and sadly i had promised to buy one for my Wife and Daughter. It is SOOOm expensive. Will it last a year at the current prices, NOT A Prayer

First time in the Letchworth store - much smaller than the Hitchin outlet and not as much on the menu (no waffles for example). However, gelato is excellent, flavours are always varied and seasonal. Had a flavour to tie in with the new Toy Story film. Also has a quirky flavour on offer - this time it was 'vanickle' vanill & pickle. Lots of fun. Unit is small and crowded on busy days, but you don't wait long as the queue moves quickly.

Just walking past thought we would pop in for an ice cream .Good choice of flavours and the ice cream tasted lovely .However expensive and the girl levelled off the ice cream from the container and then put the excess back in the tub , hardly a full scoop , but to make matters even worse the bottom of the container you get the ice cream in is RAISED appx 2 cm up from the bottom rim making it look like the tubs are bigger than they really are comon Moral is get a cone

If you want a little self indulgence, then this is the place for you. Ask for a taster and you are given a spoonful to try. They have gluten free cornets so no one misses out. Well worth a visit. Do mind the awkward step as you go in and out of the shop.

Really nice gelato here. Actually better value than going to the ice cream van and better product too! A reasonable selection, but as it's specifically a gelato store, I would've expected a larger range available. Service was good though and the queue went down quickly, so the wait was reasonable. We went quite late in the day, but i can expect seating to be prime during the day. Been back a few times now

Amazing gelato, great flavours, friendly service. We love it!

First of all, the gelato is amazing. They always rotate flavours and half the time it’s a nightmare to actually make a choice because everything is so delicious. I always enjoy the fact they make event flavours to - as a spurs supporter - the bubblegum and cherry was a delicious addition to the roster. Their social media is always active; promoting new flavours and having fun back and forths with customers. I usually come into this shop every Thursday and it is always the same two people working, always greeting with a massive smile on their faces. The lady and gentleman are so welcoming and clearly have a fun working relationship making it a pleasurable experience for me and my family. They are happy to help and have a good old chat about ice cream, letchworth and general goings on. They have explained that they’ve moved onto bio plastic spoons which is definitely a great step for a small company to make whereas large corporations are only making little steps.

I absolutely love Fabios and have been a regular customer at the Hitchin shop since they opened. The Letchworth shop is smaller than Hitchin but there are plenty of places to enjoy some gelato in the sunshine in Letchworth town and the gelato is just as tasty!Paying a slightly more premium price is so worth it when you know it's a local, family run business that produces everything by hand. I'm all for supporting local businesses and if it means paying slightly more than the supermarkets where all of the icecream is mass produced and not as nice, I have no issue with this.The staff were all super friendly and both shops are always really clean and well stocked with lots of exciting flavours. The few occasions that they sell out is all the evidence you need that they are producing good quality gelato that's worth buying!

Been to the hitchin store many times I just so happen to be in Letchworth and popped in as always fantastic flavours on offer certainly be coming again to treat myself! Keep up the good work 😃

Really great choice and the staff were great, even entertaining my wifes lame jokes! The price was fair considering it is hand made and some of the flavours were fantastic. Really would reccomend.

I have been here a few times and think the service is consistantly outstanding! I either come here with friends or my boyfriend, I love trying out the different flavours and have loved every one so far! Couldnt fault, great with friends or family, would recommend to anyone! :)

Brilliant service, as popped in with our 1 year old daughter on Good Friday and the weather was beautiful, she shared some of our ice cream. The staff were really really friendly and willing to help as much as they could. There was a young man there who was either new or still training i believe and he was doing a brilliant, very apologetic about the presentation of my sundae (raspberry sauce incident😂) which didn't bother me in the slightest, just a wonderful little shop I didn't even know was there. We will be back again!!

I've been dying to try this place since they opened in Letchworth and it was well worth the wait! Initially thought prices were a bit ££ but you get a decent serving per scoop. The salted caramel is to die for!

Amazing selection of gelato with different flavours to try each time, plus it's always delicious! You can sample some of the flavours to help you make up your mind before you buy which is good too. Sometimes there's a queue but it's worth the wait 😊

This is a new shop in town so we paid it a visit. There is a nice, if limited selection of ice-cream and sorbet available, but it is quite expensive, so not somewhere that will be a regular haunt. The staff seem friendly and the place is nice and clean.

We've been visiting Fabio's in Hitchin for the last couple of years and we're so excited to hear a shop was opening in Letchworth. Our first visit took place 5 days after the shop opened - which also happened to be the first Saturday it was open.
