Prezzo - Letchworth in North Hertfordshire

Great food, it's been a while since I've eaten here but can truly say the food has got better. Staff friendly. Highly recommend.

This review is for delivery, not eating in the restaurant. The restaurant experience is good and we love it, but the food received via delivery was nowhere near the standard you get when eating in. My not inexpensive (£15.95) chicken rigatoni al forno is a favourite when eating there, but the version I received at home was appalling. Costing the same price I would expect the same standard of food, but the meal was watery, seemed to have zero cheese or creamy sauce, had a couple of slices of pepper and tomato. Very, very disappointed. Didn’t seem like it had even been in an oven. We’ll still go and eat at the restaurant, but will never order a delivery again.

Came for a meal after being at the cinema, I had garlic bread with balsamic onions and mozzarella, very poor value for money with little mozzarella and balsamic onion relish , making it very dry around all the edges, my burger was nice but had barely any fries, so much to my wife's embarrassment I asked for a few more fries which the waitress said yes sure and brought a fresh bowl of fries to which was later added to our bill at the cost of £4.50 which I had removed for the mere pitiful amount initially on my plate, overall poor value for the money and I won't return.

What a disaster not offered meal deal or lunch menu after being seated.Ordered foccacia which we thought was similar to a toasted sandwich. It came and the bread was cold and the filling was even colder.we questioned whether it should have been hot and were told no it came cold. We told them we would like it heated it then came back with hot bread but not a hot filling by which time our other friend had finished her ravioli so we had to eat alone.No other explanation. When paying the bill we were not asked if everything was satisfactory. I certainly would not recommend this restaurant. First time Prezzo Bottomless Brunch! Excellent selection of cocktails for those who do not like Prosecco. We were looked after and drinks were topped up when finished! Over all very happy and would definitely do the bottomless brunch again/ recommend!! 🥂

I went to Prezzo Letchworth recently and was very disappointed at the level of service. I had booked a table for 7pm for 3 people. When we arrived it was extremely busy and there was people in front of us and quite a lot queueing behind us also. The person taking our name and booking reference was very unprofessional and looked on the computer and said your table isn't ready as they've overstayed .. as happened with the previous people !!! She also said the computer system allows for 1 hour and 15 minutes. I was shocked - that is definitely not enough time to be seated - order some drinks - look at the menu and choose your meal and then order, without then choosing a dessert if you want one. I really think they need to consider changing their system. You need at least 2 hours in my opinion. People go to enjoy a relaxed atmosphere and have a chat with family or friends. Not be rushed out of the restaurant. Having said that the food was good but sadly I cannot say the same about the service. When it came to paying - I paid the bill and normally when you pay by card they give you the machine to make a decision if you wish to leave a tip or not ..unfortunately the waitress was standing right on my shoulder watching what I was doing and I was not happy at all - completely inappropriate - in my opinion. We will be going somewhere different next time.

food was typically OK from prezzo, just a bizarre place to eat got sat down with music from the restaurant playing and then had house/rave music coming from where the pizza stove is and 2 cooks just standing there staring as we eat ? 🤔

Really is hit and miss at Prezzo in Letchworth, service and food quality seems to be dependant on who is managing the restaurant and who the chef is on the day of visiting :-/

Great place to eat, excellent service from Paula and wonderful food

Celiac friendly with great service!! Not only do they offer GF options for most of the menu (& pizza bases that taste & are crispy like sourdough ones), they also commit to no cross-contamination (unlike so many). Plus, Paula's service is both friendly and professional; she flitted easily between customers chatting, smiling and checking in as needed but not obtrusively. If you want good food in a friendly and atmospheric sitting, this is your place.

Went here for my birthday Friday 10th November 2023 and loved every minute of it! The food was great, drinks were lovely and the waitresses were all fantastic especially Paula who was super friendly and made my night so special by arranging a candle to go into my pudding and singing happy birthday to me. Would happily go back 😊

Friendly staff and food was pretty good (although could have been warmer), but adult portions very small, and children’s meals the size and appearance of something you’d give a pet rabbit. Very expensive for what we got - can’t justify a return visit, which is a shame as we’ve been coming here for years.

Excellent service and great food

Been coming here for years and whilst some might say it's just another chain high street restaurant, the food here is always excellent. Today we attended and as ever it was lovely. The wonderful Paula looked after us. Always smiling, happy and tending to our every need immeadiately. She, and the other staff were also entertaining several birthday parties with cake and song. She was a delight. Thank you Paula.

Paula is so attentive and described the new menu items with passion. She even remembered my parents in law and their last order. The service and food are consistently good.

The meals we ordered were absolutely delicious. We had a Spinach Creste Di Gallo with Pesto, Peas, and Burrata, a beef in chianti sauce with mushroom mash and a chicken in a marsala sauce and a side of fries, plus 2 portions of seasonal vegetables. There was a problem with my side vegetable dish, but it was quickly rectified. The staff were incredibly friendly and very accommodating. Nothing seemed too much trouble. I would definitely recommend a visit.

Far to expensive.. I'm guessing most people go here with their clubcard vouchers? It makes you feel like your getting a good deal. Over £16 for a lasagne which although tasted nice enough nothing else came with it and it was a pretty thin slab. I purchased a side of garlic bread to go with it which was another £5 plus. Service was good and food tasted nice but expensive for not alot. We paid up and went into the little sainsbury for some ice cream.

Bad experience sadly. Ordered lasagne after a couple of mouthfuls of the edge didn’t think it was very warm so cut into the middle and it was stone cold. Called waitress over who took it away and bought a second one, I cut into middle and it was exactly the same freezing cold. By this point I did not want another replacement. Waitress was very friendly and removed my food and drink from the bill. But I won’t be back to this Prezzo again!

We went last night for my son’s 6th birthday meal with family. The food was great but the staff were amazing and they made my sons birthday! They were so accommodating and let him “help” them and then to top it off he wanted a mixture of 2 puddings and they did exactly what he wanted and even sang happy birthday to him ! - thank you for making it such a lovely evening!

Expensive and the food was average in comparison to cost only card payment excepted and staff not very helpful over all won't dine again there 😔

Maitride was very grumpy and not at all welcoming, usually nice lady who is lovely He was also v put out that we had a jug of water, Instead if our usual round of wine and beer! Pizza order was made wrong and had to go back Shame as my son over from USA, so not the best experience!

First time in Prezzo's, it was a gift from a freind a 3 course set meal with a glass of wine. We don't like wine so this was changed for a soft drink with no problems. Food was very good, service was very good. We will definitely go again.

Food is becoming really disappointing for prezzo, barely any topping on pizza. Husband had to ask for more topping as was sparse on last visit but decided to give it one more visit . We were sat on really bad positioned table by stairs, till and loads of pizza boxes when lots of tables available in the restaurant. Toilets could do with cleaning always stink and today was no exception . Won’t be coming back used to love prezzo. Sad because the food used to be good which would excuse the moody service and increased prices. Never write reviews but feel it’s needed

Nice food, we had a Tastecard and if we hadn't , I'd say it's too pricey for what you get, which is, after all heated up pre prepared food The waitress was very pleasant.

Love this prezzo. Excellent location, right next to the car park (pay and display, but free on Sunday) . We were put in a lovely booth, loads of space. Service was excellent, quick, friendly and polite. Food was delivered quick and fresh, and empty plates all round. Make sure to book, but highly recommend paying a visit.

Good food. Piping hot. Service a bit slow but nothing to complain about. Premises a bit old and dated but did not detract from the dining experience.

We arrived at 6pm and were greeted by staff who were very friendly & polite. We placed our food order, this arrived quite quickly even though they were very busy. The food was totally outstanding and excellent quality. There were 4 in our party and we felt we were in a position to hear what everybody was saying.

Sadly I wasn’t impressed by my visit to Prezzos in Letchworth. I went with a friend, ordered our meals & drinks. Food came quickly & looked nice. However, I ordered the Beef chianti & the beef was nice, but it was meant to come with mash. I had a dessert spoon of what looked like a dumpling … I asked about the mash & was told that was it! So I asked if there was any chance of a little more of it & was given another dessert spoon of ‘mash’. However, this time I had the addition of paper in it. I did say that there was paper in the ‘mash’ & got no response at all. Blank face 😐 no apology, nothing. I mentioned to another waitress & same reply & shrug of the shoulders. I didn’t say anymore because I don’t think I was understood. Prezzos is not as good as it once was & there are obvious signs in deterioration in the meals & portion size. Not worth the money … go elsewhere

We come here a few times a year and always enjoy it. This was a birthday meal. From the comments from the waitress it was apparent that the chef was making everything bigger with a larger quantity of topping. I suppose that’s ok but we ordered a goat’s cheese pizza which supposedly had a drizzle of honey. It was absolutely awful drenched in honey and inedible. Being a regular visitor I didn’t read the menu in detail and therefore missed the honey thing. It took us a while to work out why it was so sweet. They did offer a replacement but we didn’t want anything else at this stage. Whatever was the chef thinking. Completely ruined the evening won’t be back. Pizza Express gets my vote.

Had a terrible meal 3 months ago, vowed to never return however we had Tesco vouchers so went back this evening and really enjoyed the meals. The spaghetti and prawns was fresh and tasty, the service by Andrea was the best we’d had from here. May even return now. She was attentive, informative, didn’t rush us and felt like we were special even though the restaurant was busy

Well catered for my vegetarian gluten free friend - the service was seemless and they left us with enough time to catch up and chat. Tasty food but the service was excellent. We were served upstairs by Lili and the manager - they were fantastic. This is the letchworth branch. Will be revisiting.

Although the quality of the food is reasonable , it definitely doesn't make up for how stupidly expensive the food is. I mean... who in their right mind would pay £5 for 10 miniature fries?

I always like the Prezzo menu and the standard of food in the chain, but service is poor. Staff are outwardly pleasant enough but bar and restaurant service is really patchy.

The food here was really good and the staff were quite friendly. The pasta was nice as well was the pizza. The waitress also got out colouring pencils for my niece when we arrived which was really useful. Overall, good service and would recommend.

Prezzo is a nice modern restaurant with reasonably priced food as well as lots of set menus and deals. It's good for vegetarians as well. The upstairs balcony seating is especially good.

I have been here three times and each time it has not been a pleasant experience. I did not leave reviews previously but third time was definitely not lucky and I feel should now ore warn other diners. In fact I had a 40% off voucher and a bottle of free prezzo ( as birthday) and after spending 10 minutes there we decided to leave and go across to wildwood where we were greeted friendly , fab staff and I had a lovely birthday meal although had to pay full price for everything. It had to be bad for me to not use my free bottle of prosseco voucher !!! When we arrived we stood at door for few minutes we told the lady we had booked she looked at a bit of paper said she couldn't find it but said she remembers seeing it.May I add the restaurant was not half full. We said we had booked a window seat or upstairs as my birthday ( covered in badges etc) this she did not acknowledge and said we couldn't have either of those. She then sat us at the small table right by the door. Last time we had the same problem . She then left us, no niceties or saying she will be back soon with drinks order etc. We felt extremely uncomfortable and after 10 minutes no one returning ( IT WASNT THAT BUSY) we left and walked over the road. I now recommend Prezzo send their staff over the road to Wildwood as soon as we entered we were greeted friendly, professionally and the staff in Wildwood were excellent. I believe it is just Letchworth Prezzo but I will not be trying again.

Iv only been here once and that was enough for me not to return. I went with a friends and we’d already have lunch and fancied a change or sensory for dessert when we arrived we wasn’t greeted with a smile just a grumpy waiter. When we ordered desserts and a drink the waiter looked annoyed slammed our drinks on the table. Almost dropped my dessert on the table. Not once was we asked if we needed anything else. We were treated awful by the staff. Will never return.

I came to Letchworth Prezzo with my friends on Sunday (18th) evening. The food was great, and reasonably priced. But the service was what made this night stand out. Friendly and chatty waitresses and nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely be returning 👍

Loud staff discussing personal issues and medical conditions. They kinda winced as they seated me as a solo diner so I didn’t feel THAT welcome.

The food is good, but the service is to be desired! We were left waiting for ages before we were asked to order and then waited further for our food to arrive. The food is good, but does not seem to be cooked fresh like other Italian restaurants in Letchworth, like L’Artista. Reasonably priced and good for kids.

Food is not that brilliant. I'm not that fussy but don't think the prices reflect the quality of what is served. Have also had some really rude staff at times here. Only go here if someone is having a 'do'. Prefer to spend my money elsewhere.

I have visited Prezzo Letchworth many times and the condition of the toilets has always been a concern to me. I had meant to post about this issue before. This time I visited and the toilets were worse than ever. The floor area is filthy dirty along with the all the sanitary ware.

We quite like Prezzo but the team and facilities at Letchworth set this restaurant apart. From the cinema and then a really excellent dining experience. We both loved it and the value was exceptional.

Dined here over the weekend and found the service & food to be first class. Upon arrival we were immediately greeted by a friendly member of staff who welcomed us & showed us to our table. Every member of staff who served us was equally friendly & polite & even though the restaurant was quite busy there was no delay in receiving our food, which was excellent.

We visited on a Saturday night. Our server, Oscar, was really friendly and helpful throughout. The food was good too, but the service was the main highlight!

We came into the restaurant on a weekday it was quiet, we weren’t acknowledged when we arrived, we had to find ourselves a table and get menus. After that we waited to be asked if we wanted to order but no one came up to us. Very poor customer service.

We booked for early evening on a Saturday so the restaurant was quiet on arrival. We were pleasantly greeted and shown to a table. The staff were nice but a bit distracted and ignored the request for a pizza cutter to cut our pizzas - we used our cutlery instead! My main was goats cheese and roasted red pepper pizza. I received a pizza with very little goats cheese and uncooked yellow pepper! The waitress disappeared to other customers and I was unable to ask for my correct order! The pizza was quite tasteless - felt like I was eating crispy dough. The other pizza was meant to be 'hot' and again - not much flavour! I feel as though the pizzas/orders could not have been checked by the chef/kitchen which I find sloppy. This is not a cheep place to eat and I would have expected better.

I came to eat here on Saturday with my family as we normally enjoyed the food and service here and was quite disappointed that we was sat at a dirty table (I let this slide as I normally like the place). We was then greeted by one of the most miserable members of staff I’ve come across in a while, no customer service, made us feel very rushed into ordering and generally seemed like she didn’t want to be there or care about our experience. Now I know it’s only prezzo but still, this isn’t on at all. She then took an age to bring our drinks back and when she did, she didn’t say a word or even smile, at this point I asked where the manager was as he always offered great service and was very pleasant. She told me he was leaving and she is now the manager to which I was shocked as the customer service was appalling. Food was out fairly quick and was good as it always is and was the only saving grace of the awful experience we had. I felt like I should of complained there and then but decided against it as I didn’t want to make a scene but it’s safe to I didn’t leave a tip and won’t be going back again.
