Working away from home and needed some where to eat Googled this place and found it was not far from the travel lodge. Lovely place Good atmosphere Food was excellent. Mixed menu. My husband went for the burger and chips and I tried the curry. Worth having Very reasonable prices. All home made. Very well done. Thankyou. We all need patronise this pub and like wise others. Because if the new government get their way and ban smoking. This will be the end of the pubs

Interesting having a curry house in a pub in the middle of nowhere. The curry was nice, I wasn't over keen on the naan bread. I would go back

Lovely traditional pub serving good beer, log fire made it even more welcoming in a cold evening.

Enter if you want an Adams Family experience. Awful place, I’m guessing last time decorated in the 70s. Nasty atmosphere that makes you feel unwelcome if you’re an “outsider”.

Nice pub, good beer, friendly owners. I'm afraid that for me the vegetable curry was not good. Eaten alot of currys and this was no way traditional.

Really welcoming on arrival and huge selection of spirits. Menu is dominated by great selection of Currys. All are numbered 1 to 10 on a heat scale making choices easier. Book in advance is best option.

Lovely local pub, run by friendly owners. Great pint of wherry 🍻. They also have a decent range of freshly cooked dishes. We sat outside and enjoyed the country vibe. Although it was strangely chilly in the evening breeze considering that it had been 26 degrees earlier on.... Recommended little watering hole. Please check their website for opening times as they are limited since covid-19... Cheers

Must say that this public house is set in a lovely location away from Ipswich and not to far into the countryside that it's still easy to find... I came upon this place when out cycling but sadly as yet I haven't managed to go in this is due mainly to the time they open compared with the time I'm out cycling, they don't always match but I'm going to time it right soon... May well stop here in the future if I can get my dam timing right with this pub, though cycling is the main priority!! HELPFUL? LEAVE A RESPONSE OR 'LIKE' THANK YOU HELPFUL? A real British pub with great beer but with a touch of India - so many gorgeous looking curries on offer on the menu. I've got to work my way through this menu. One down, LOTS to go.... 😍

Very good food, however the publicans weren’t very welcoming. It’s rather plain and glaring inside - they could do with considering the ambience a little bit more. A pity as the pub is in a good location, and has a lovely outlook from the back of the building over fields... so it’s a bit disappointing when you get inside to a brightly lit, plain room with a slightly grumpy landlord!

The reviews are all very positive but my view is that this is an ok pub with ok food. I was driving to this pub and it was a choice to go their (i.e. I could have gone to a lot of other pubs). It was all ok but not a 4.5 for me. My initial view is that it is just not well kept. It's messy outside and when you walk in it smells of a carpet that has been there since before the smoking ban came in. The smell does go though (well, you get used to it). I had a pint of Ghost Ship and that tasted very good. I had a chilli chicken curry with a garlic naan; the curry was fine but the naan a bit odd because it appeared to be smothered in garlic butter. It tasted ok though, and I guess I wasn't disappointed but I wasn't blown away either. What's the conclusion? It isn't a bad pub and the owners were very friendly, but as I have a car and can try other ones, I'll go and do some more exploring before returning again.

I've been coming here on and off for 30 years to eat their curries and drink. Always received fresh quality food in a generous portion, and the belgian beers are lovely. Now its my local so very happy about that.

Have enjoying the food at the Queen's Head many times. Fresh home made curries with spice ratings from 1 to 10 and a delicious European menu always on offer. Never been disappointed. The real ale is also outstanding.

disappointed, been 3 times and it’s been consistent. No sauce, so food is very dry…. But if you wish to pay £7 for garlic yogurt as a starter. Erm shouldn’t you get a small 2/3 sauces to go with your meal? I asked the 3 times if there were any sauces that come with the mixed grill £££.

We can’t scream about this place enough! The food, the service and the ambiance is first class. We ate in the brasserie and were served by Sorin and Liam, nothing was too much trouble. Dave was excellent in the bar and was extremely friendly. We ate the venison and a pie, both of which were delicious. We’ve already booked to come back. Please thank the team for making our night so special
