The best restaurants in East of England

We popped into 8 Rocks for breakfast after a Parkrun. We are pleased we did. The place was clean, staff clearing tables quickly after customers had left and were very friendly and attentive without being overbearing or making us feel rushed. The menu was expansive - we had eggs royale and a salt beef bagel - both of which were lovely. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.

Ordered online at 19:48 Called at 21:00 to ask if our order was going to be much longer. Was told they were doing it now & wouldn’t be long. Been calling since 21:30 - no answer Time 21:42 no food and they close at 22:00 2 hrs for 4 simple meals!

Great meal. The waiter helped us put together a lovely combination of dishes. Particularly liked the Railway curry I would strongly recommend it. Friendly staff, clean and comfortable.

My wife and I popped in for lunch and found the venue very light, airy and spacious with plenty of room between the tables. The waitresses were smartly attired, friendly .and attentive and we were immediately shown to a window table, We each ordered an omlette and coffee which arrived a few minutes later and we were pleasantly surprised at how generous the portions were - each omlette came with a side order of fries and a freshly prepared salad. The food was very tasty and the whole bill came to £32 which you'd be hard pressed to beat. I would definitely recommend Reyna Brasserie for quality, service and value for money.

What a wonderful place. I’ve never been to a tea room. My friend invited for her 40th celebration. It’s so Preety fun warm and friendly. I’m lucky to have a great friend who works here. The gals we do lovely and welcoming. Food is yum. I’ll be back again soon. Thank you. ☺️

Had a really nice bacon and sausage bap, could taste the quality of the ingredients. Staff were friendly too

Really excellent fish and chips: fresh and well cooked. Perfect for eating in the park after a walk along the towpath from Hertford.

I was so disappointed with this restaurant. When I ordered I was told it would arrive in 30 minutes. I waited 1hr 10mins for the delivery and when it arrived it was stone cold. I called the restaurant who advised to give it back to the driver and they would send another ASAP. She apologised and said she would send some extra bits to compensate. When the second order arrived the only compensation I received was a dip!!! I ordered a lamb Shish and a portion of hummus (only 2 pieces of bread) came for the whole order. It was also warm (not hot) the lady on the phone couldn’t have been less interested. This just isn’t normal service from this restaurant but it has put me off from ordering again

We read the trip advisor reviews and thank goodness we did. What a lovely lunch, one veggie special and two meals off of the same menu. Friendly service and great decor, highly recommended.

This place used to be good, when Mai's Vietnamese kitchen operated there, but now it's reopened as Church Farm Cafe, it's gone down the pan! Pretentious decoration with unfriendly in fact downright rude staff serving overpriced food that appears to have come straight from Tesco. Never again!

Entró a comer después de un partido de la Copa frío helado en Borehamwood Wood FC. Tuve un excelente Kleftico y mezcla de pescado. Excelente servicio servicial y rápido. Té complementario y delicia turca al final.

well run place nice staff . Many people eating ,will call again, i think the village run it to keep it in the community , nice idea. john
