The food was nice but nothing special considering the price.....atmosphere? Only two tables dining and we were one of them......considering they weren't busy the service was awful....the waitress was abrupt and unhelpful when asked questions regarding the menu,never meal checked us,and took my plate without asking if we were all finished....just assumed that because two of the diner's at my table had finished it was ok to throw a dirty napkin on my plate and go to remove it....I told her I hadn't finished and she claimed to have asked us first.....then asked me if I wanted the plate back,not sure if that included the napkin lol.....I wouldn't go back nor recommend

Myself and my partner booked a meal here, after being helped out with the door as it did not open we was greeted by a very warm friendly happy lady. There was just 1 other person in there so felt a little awkward however the waitress was so lovely and attentive. The menu had lots of great food to choose from a little on the expensive side especially when I wanted a side with my steak and chips, a small portion of sugar snaps was £4.50 😳 when all the food arrived after a very short wait it looked and tasted delicious.

Themed French evening superb food and plenty of it! Lovely waitress and manager attentive too So enjoyed it next month there is an Italian evening so we are certainly booking up for that!

Easy walk from train station. Service was exceptional and the food was good but be warned, the servings are large. Wine list was not extensive but enough to choose from. We would highly recommend this venue.

Epping’s best kept secret, this is where to come for proper home cooked food by a master chef. An exquisite independent restaurant, great service, a friendly welcome & great food.

The best Sunday roast dinner for miles around. We had the French Onion Soup which was a real treat, Roast Chicken and affogato. Lots of restaurants serve roast chicken, but very few know how to do it properly. It's superb. The affogato finished it off nicely. This is my number one choice for Sunday lunch.

Went tonight for the first time with my children and grandchildren can’t believe I haven’t eaten here before staff lively and the food is probably best food I have ever eaten out before. All so fresh great menu something for everyone and the portion sizes were great. A lot of home made stuff honestly can’t say how great the food was and the price was very reasonable. Highly recommend this place if you haven’t been try it you won’t be disappointed. I will definitely be making this a place I will be going to a lot AMAZING

Order a valentines dinner for delivery online. The ribs we received were not edible, the chips were cold and soggy. When my husband call to speak with the restaurant about it they hung up on him. Absolutely disgusting customer service

3 very happy couples exited RestoBistro on Saturday night. I had a hearty Duck Salad to start with. One of the ladies had it as a main and it was very large. We were both happy with this choice. I had theThree hour, slow cooked ribs, served in Jack Daniels sauce. Phenomenal. The merest touch of the fork and the meat literally collapsed from the bones onto the plate. I had this with Sweet Potato fries with Maple syrup! I know, but it works really well. Beautiful! The portions were generous too, There’s an excellent choice of dessert, but I went with an excellent chocolate waffle and my choice of ice cream which was chocolate. Beautiful! Can’t wait to go again!

Had my 1st meal here 4 weeks ago (early june) and enjoyed so much been back 3 times in last 4 weeks. Fabulous food, service and reasonable prices.

What a lovely little gem. I came here on a recommendation and it didnt disappoint the food was fantastic and so was the service. Went for bruschetta to start and melt in the mouth, fall off the bone ribs for mains. Would forgo the starter next time seeing the portion size of the ribs! Ribs glazed with a side pot of jack daniels sauce, a bit sweet and a lovely depth of flavour. The chips had that real potato taste too. Lovely staff and a lovely evening. Would definitely go back.

Was very surprised at the value for money prices, as expected it to be more expensive. The service from initial phone call (I had a takeaway), where they recommended sauces to go with my dishes to the quantity of food and taste. Cannot recommend this place enough. Next time you fancy a cheap takeaway, give this place a go

Still a lovely place to chilled out

So technically it wasn’t a visit as we can’t do that due to the COVID-19 lockdown..... BUT this great restaurant now does takeaway food which you can go and get safely, without breaking your social distancing. If we want our favourite restaurants to still be there when all this is over, we absolutely MUST support them now and the next few days and weeks will be vital if they are to survive. And if you can’t go - get a cab to pick it up for you and you’ll help keep them in business too! You’ll still save money - even with the cab charge, and you’ll get the same great food. Literally the only difference is that you put it on the plate yourself. We’ve eaten at RestoBistro loads of times, but tonight was our first takeaway and the food is just as delicious, the portions are just as big and it’s all piping hot. I had a huge portion of the ribs which were every bit as good as they usually are; the ribs are actually two meals - I’ve saved some for tomorrow which I’ll probably have as a pulled pork roll - and therefore are great value. My wife and son had the salmon and my daughter had the chicken breast and gravy. Fabulous food and just what you need to cheer you up while the world goes mad outside. By all means go for the traditional Chinese and Indian takeaways while we’re all couped up (they need your support too), but don’t forget that you can get really good European food to takeaway from RestoBistro as well. And I can’t stress too much - you can do this perfectly safely as long as you are sensible - keep your social distance and of course always wash your hands before eating.

Been here several times. Never had a bad meal. Friendly service. Really varied menu. Had their ribs. Really good. Steaks, various noodle dishes, fish, homemade burgers, etc. All 4 if us enjoyed piping hot well presented food at a fair price. Would recommend. Great for small parties.

I was surprised by my most recent visit. While passing through last year we met friends here and had the most memorable ribs. They were juicy, moist, fall-of-the-bone, perfectly spicy and sweet. Everyone was super pleased with their meals. It was delicious. I ordered the same again and while the meat fell off the bone easily, I found that it was lean; there wasn't enough fat to keep them moist so they were chewy. My husband ordered roast chicken and it was pretty dry also. I'm not sure if it was marinated either, all the flavor was on the outside and did not seem to have been cooked in or to have penetrated beyond the skin. We always order mushrooms and by far they were the best thing that we ordered, and are memorably delicious. The portions are generous, and quantity-wise, the value is good. Our main courses were a bit of a let-down though. Perhaps it was an off night? We probably won't be back though.

Always excellent food and service another great meal with friends

I’ve been here several times for lunch but this is the first time for dinner on Saturday night and it was really good, deffo my fav restaurant in Epping which says something because there are lots of them now! The breadth of the menu is amazing, it ranges from French bistro through to fine dining with some Chinese and Italian thrown in. Doh -I guess that explains the name! Anyway, I would rock up ten mins early to check out the whole menu before ordering, it takes some reading. The ribs are bonkers good, btw - if you have the full rack don’t order a starter you will never finish the ribs. Oh and there’s a blackboard of specials too. The quality of the food and cooking matches anything you will find in a central London restaurant and at half the price. The service is very attentive, professional and friendly. This place shines out in what is now thankfully the best group of eateries that Epping has even seen, long may it continue.

Good food, good service. Very friendly staff. It's very cosy there. Look small from the outside but inside quite a good size restaurant. The restaurant quite modern inside, including where the bar is.

Had the most wonderful roast chicken dinner so much I couldn't finish it staff were so welcoming highly recommend

Amazing food. I was dubious about the 'best fudge cake in the world' as they call it. But it really was that good, easily the best I have ever had. Only downside is that everything is very expensive but you get what you pay for. Great food.

One of the best restaurants in Epping. I had the Sirloin Steak and was cooked perfectly as where the Chip that come with it. Its nice to have a sauce included in the price. Also love there takeaway, always have thr duck noodles. Service is always on point and happy to help.

Average Food not worth the inflated prices. Can't think of a restaurant in Epping with worse food. Service wasn't great although they seemed to like the locals better than us, and when I'm paying £24 for just a steak (It did come with one leaf of lettuce) i don't expect the mayo or ketchup to come in a paper cup. An identical paper cup to the Mcdonalds up the road. The ketchup was for the fries not the steak just to be clear, I'm not a barbarian. Also when I ordered a 2nd beer a clean glass would be nice as per every decent restaurant or pub I've ever been in.

Went with my two sons early evening. The staff were very friendly and the food was absolutely delicious, not a scrap was left on any of our plates. Would highly recommend.
