My new favourite Cafe! Me and my partner fell in love with this Cafe when visiting recently - it was an amazing experience all round - from the drive around the airfield to our last bite of food. The staff were excellent and very friendly, the food was outstanding and fresh, a milkshake to die for and awesome location if you're into aviation! We will definitely be returning next time on our travels.

Lovely cafe to visit in an unusual location. Only thing i would like to see is better disabled access from the cafe to outside. The gravel and step makes no sense and the wood frame birdering the grass is dangerous. We also ordered club sandwich and wer e missing the bacon! Key ingredient. Would like to see some crisps served with this aswell with the salad. Reasonable prices though and would visit again.

Great location and very nice decor have visited several times, however we have noticed the service has become very poor (even on a fairly quiet morning) and the prices are extortionate now. Nearly £22 just for a full English plus hash browns! £7+ for chips! Prices made worse by the fact you see Morrisons food delivery vans pulling in. Makes you wonder what's actually so special about the produce and why its costing so much. Probably won't visit again for food.

I went to amazing place with attentive employees and nice looking menu of food, and amazing views of the airfield in a modern Nissan hut style cafe. However I took my 86yo father in law who has health conditions and couldn't take the loudish music. Wow. I didn't see that coming. My humblest apologies to the staff. As we left before placing an order... but it pleased my dear old father in law for considering his delicate hearing. 😀

What a fab place. First thing to know is that it's inside the airfield boundary so if you are arriving by car you need to go to the security gate on the opposite side of the airfield and you'll be shown the route to get to it. You will be driving on the airfield with aeroplanes whizzing around you - it's not as daunting as it sounds but you do need to listen to the instructions and do as you're told. The cafe is definitely worth it once you get there. The food and drink they serve is top quality and the staff are brilliant. And obviously the view outside with all the planes to watch is great. It's always busy so you might need to be patient for a table. But like I said, it's worth it.

A great little cafe, great service and the food is really good. Sitting in the North Weald aerodrome, gives great views while you relax. Check times, as it can get very busy. The hot chocolate is great, but did end up being quite cold. The breakfast baguette was fantastic, but is a challenge to eat as a baguette! Better with a knife and fork!

I questioned whether our friend who was driving knew where he was going when we entered the airfield through the security barriers. I continued to question him as we drove around the airport perimeter. Fortunately he did know and we soon ended up at the cafe. Plenty of parking, plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors, an excellent lunch menu (I'd recommend the sausage, caramelised onion and cheese toastie), great staff and a view of the planes, runway and police helicopter as you eat. Definitely worth searching out and visiting.

I visited this delightful cafe, situated within the perimeter of North Weald airfield for the first time on Thursday 26 September 2024. It was somewhere convenient to meet up with some old work colleagues for brunch/lunch. What a lovely place! Great atmosphere. Really friendly, professional staff. And wonderful food. We had a mixture of club, bacon and salt beef sandwiches, some with salad, coleslaw and chips, as well as coffee and walnut cake. The tea was served loose leaf in traditional teapots with cups and saucers. We could sit, chat and watch the variety of aircraft manoeuvring outside. The toilets were also particularly modern and clean. All in all a great find and I would definitely recommend. This place deserves to succeed.

My visit to the Rosey Lea Cafe was with the sole purpose of observing my son in flight with a Spitfire from their garden, at the North Weald airport. But it turned out into one of the most relaxing and enjoyable days we have had recently. To start with, the whole experience was well organised: the flight, the helicopter, the actual Spitfire were absolutely superb, and the pilots and the staff were supremely helpful and accommodating. The cafe surpassed my expectations also - the food was excellent, the very generous helping were cooked with fresh ingredients, and were well presented, and reasonable in price. The staff was lovely, too, and although the service was a little slow (very busy on Saturday afternoon), it was worth the wait. The premises are in fact a small hangar, very cosy, clean, new, comfortable, relaxed and well spaced. Lovely outdoor sitting area, looking right onto the runway, so all aircraft taking off or landing was easy to observe from any of the picnic tables. A worthy combination of flying, eating and observational experience!

Love this place, great service and great food whilst watching the planes and helicopters take off. It's great for kids who can stand outside feet from taxing planes but safely fenced off. Tables outside and inside. Takes a bit of finding on the airfield as you have to drive right the way round the inside perimeter road. Drive carefully and obey the signs as you are on taxi strips and cross the end of the runway.
