Sad to see another pub up for sale. Wanted some food but wasn't serving. But nice bar staff.

Picked an unfortunate time to drop in, when there was only Fosters or Guinness on tap, or John Smith's in cans.

Absolutely fantastic from start to finish

Local great atmosphere and local beer.

I attended a wake there. Lovely, calm atmosphere. Very polite and respectful staff.

Would of been higher but no fault to the workers this pub is filled with hostel alcoholics that start fights on people because we booked a table and they didn't know you can do that. Offering one of our group to fight and screaming he's a tax payer and blah blah blah . We are a small group that go and play dnd once a month on a table we book and we buy food and drink everytime. We won't be coming back now as we realise that repeat abusive druggy locals get more accommodation then respectful decent people just trying to have a nice night. Unless your a local who lives in there 24 7 I wouldn't recommend going for a nice drink or food , especially don't book the tables because that's a big no no according to the local gear heads. Again no fault to staff as they are lovely ladies who where just caught on the bad end of a local nit bag who is in there very often.

Walked in about 14.15 with 9 friends, asked if they are still doing lunch for 10 of us, yes was the reply just help yourselves to tables, I'll get you some menus. Needless to say, service v.good, food v.good, service excellent. 10 happy customers, ready for next time.

Staff always polite and were very good through the covid times and the land lady Kirstie has kept things in order whilst also being pregnant well done all.

Popped in here for the first time ever, even though I’ve lived in Waltham Abbey for many years. Very friendly bar staff, efficient service, very relaxed atmosphere, nice garden, comfortable tables and chairs inside and a nice pint of Fosters. A very welcoming and agreeable local pub! Will be back for sure. Nice!

Eat at the Crown on the 17th Aug, felt very comfortable there. Food was delicious and service by Emily was first class, very helpful and friendly.Will definitely be eating there again.

Excellent food, served by Kirsty. We will be eating in here more often. Take away service great for office lunches.

Live this pub. Lovely staff. We always have a family meet here 4 times a year. Would not go anywhere else. Dogs and children welcome as well as coffee drinkers

Stopped for lunch after diverting off M25. Great find with good pub food and lovely staff and friendly locals. The steak and ale pie is excellent and the chocolate pudding is to die for.

Lovely atmosphere. Proper old school pub. Good selection of lagers, ales and spirits with a friendly team behind the bar. Foods good too. Probably the best pub in Waltham Abbey.

Decent pub. Usual McMullen's drinks, small beer garden gets sun until around 7pm summer time. Four tapas and chips for a tenner. Local's, friendly crowd. Parking for around 8 cars at the front.

Great pub with a "local" feel about it. Good selection of beers which are kept perfectly. Food is very good. The Landlady made me very welcome. I felt like a regular. Highly recommended.

Brought out bikes through the gate. Nice beer garden. Food is great for the price, try the tapas menu. Really nice people... A lot of football lovers in on Saturday.

The service here was truly outstanding, to the point that when I called the kitchen had closed 10 minutes earlier but the Landlady kindly offered to cook for us. The beer is excellent with tasting prior to selection of our preferred brew, the food is good pub fayre served hot and in good time representing excellent value for money. Great ambience, friendly staff, pleasant and clean traditional English pub, 10 out of 10!

The Crown is an excellent traditional unspoilt McMullens pub with good food and friendly staff. IMHO it's the best pub in WA. It's tucked away down the side road Romeland off Highbridge Street, easy to miss if you're a visitor, but only a short distance from the Market Square and well worth seeking out.
