Nice little cafe but very overpriced ice cream. £2.95 for a single (small) scoop. Perhaps the other food options were more reasonable but as this appears to be the only establishment serving ice cream they appear to have monopolised the market.

We have been visiting West Runton beach cafe for years. The food is always excellent with a great choice of food, drinks, snacks and ice creams as well as gifts and beach goods. The museum is fascinating and well worth a look. The service is great and the owners and staff are welcoming and friendly. If he is there we always exchange pleasantries with Mr Pickles the parrot who is such a character and obviously by his great condition much loved by his owners. Looking forward to our next visit.

We found this little cafe en route from Cromer to Sheringham and made a very welcome stop. There was a warm welcome from the friendly and efficient ladies serving in the cafe. We had a toasted cheese and tomato sandwich and a bacon sandwich Both were absolutely delicious, very well filled and we enjoyed them at the outside seating area. Add to this a good cappuccino and latte, a look round the fascinating exhibit on the fossils found at West Runton beach and we left for the final part of the walk feeling much better than when we arrived!

I find it hard to believe people leave five-star reviews for this café when it only sells sandwiches (although they can be toasted!), cakes wrapped in plastic and filter coffee. Reviewers opinions must be blinded by the incredible view. I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but I honestly can’t see what all the fuss is about. This is the only disappointment found in lovely West Runton. It’s such a shame that it is run on such a base level; this café could be so much more.

I find it so sad that certain people are so small minded and have such a shallow and sad life they can’t see passed their noses. Not only is this cafe just enough for the beach dwellers the owners go above and beyond to make people welcome and comfortable. The beach is great with its always changing surfaces and to be honest one of the best places in this Country

After a bracing, late afternoon walk along the beach, there's nothing better than a cup of coffee and an ice cream. On West Runton Beach, the Seaview Cafe fits the bill. With seating outside, for good weather, and inside, for not-so-good weather, there's still lovely views out to sea. The coffee was delicious and served by friendly staff and so was the ice ceam; that lovely soft ice cream. They even had ice cream for dogs, so ours was spoilt. We did not have any food but what was brought out for others lookes, and smelt, delicious.

An easy walk from the village (there is a car park but road down is quite narrow). Lovely little cafe, very friendly staff and nice mug of tea. Although we didn't eat there the food brought out for others looked good and the bacon butties smelt delicious. A fantastic view over the beach and the extra attraction of a very talkative parrot called Mr Pickles. Its a great place to sit and watch the world go by. Good beach for a day out, or just to get some sea air. Don't forget to say hi to Mr Pickles!

We visit this cafe numerous times every time we stay. The sandwiches are 'proper' sandwiches, you know where the filling is at least as thick as one slice of bread!!! (Which is always fresh I'd like to add) the cafe has an tremendous community feel to it. Lots of information on the historic coast, a tank full of the creatures you can find in the rock pools, and a little shop section you can purchase the things you inevitably forget for a day in the beach. Great notice board outside full of facts including tide times and great for dog owners too. All the staff are very friendly and Extremely helpful! Absolutely drop in here if you are in the area, you will not be disappointed :)

We were planning to spend the whole day on the beach and were pleased there was a cafe nearby. I searched for a menu online in advance, but there wasn't one. Now I know why. If you want food, you will be very disappointed, as we were. ALL you will find is cheese or bacon sandwiches. That's it! I mean, as cheese sandwiches go, they were reasonable, but there was nothing else in sight, not even so much as a jacket potato. Not even cake! And at over £15 for just three sandwiches, I'd have expected the best cheese sandwiches in the world! But they were no better than i could - and probably should - have made at home. Consequentially we didn't stay all day, as we were too hungry. We went elsewhere to find something other than a cheese sandwich. If you want a hot drink after a brisk walk, it's fine, but don't go there expecting cafe food, because you won't get it.

We stopped here for a quick cuppa but ended up staying for well over an hour, the views down to the beach are excellent. But the amount of wildlife we spotted was amazing there were skylarks , greenfinch, goldcrests and many more birds. There was also their African grey who kept us amused with his nonstop chatter. Oh and the cafe is a little gem as well.

We visited after reading the reviews and although the bacon sandwich was excellent, we were disapointed in that there were no home made cakes, and only filter coffee was on offer. The overall selection of food was not what we expected as there's was not much of a selection. And if you are there for a quick stop only, the car park is £3 which doesn't encourage you to return unless you are walking your dog on the beach. We realise this review goes against most but we can only say what we experienced...

I had brown which was a nice granary type and full of bacon, brought to your table with tomato, brown sauce or a mayo type mustard. It was truly the best bacon sandwich I have had. My coffee was filter and 1.85. Tea I think was 1.30. Only 4 tables inside but lots of benches outside which were all full when we were there though it was very windy. Use this cafe most weeks having a static caravan close by and often call in after walking our dog from Sheringham to East Runton and back as the cliff walk is superb on the coastal path.Staff always friendly and the tea/coffee and bacon sandwich seem good value. Can sit in or out but with dogs (strictly on leads) we always sit outside looking towards the sea and often as not listen to the parrot making its presence heard. The Cafe is close to where extinct animal bones are found on the cliff sides and notices identify the find with further details. The cafe is environmental friendly with a scheme to pick litter. They also promote the proper ownership of dogs with regard to dog waste.Camera evidence has resulted in prosecutions. Will continue to support the cafe for all the above reasons.

A good coffee stop after a nice beach walk from East Runton, interesting information about the 700,000 year old Mammoth found in 1990 in the cliffs. Only one irritation was the Proprietor (I assume) moaning at the Asda delivery driver about the tuna that had been substituted for another brand, in a very loud voice, didn't really need to know or hear all that.

Has everything a little beach cafe should have and is in a great location right next to the beach with a view of the sea. I had a bacon sandwich which was really just ok. I say ok because the bacon seemed like it was precooked and just reheated when I placed my order. Had a coffee as well which was fine. Service is friendly and polite from most of the staff. It was an older lady who took my order at the counter and she was just plain rude; not even a please or a thank you at all. The rest of the 4 or 5 younger girls who were helping out were great. After a pleasant visit to Hillside Animal Sanctuary you might wonder what else to do in West Runton. Go for a walk along the beach... it was a grey day when I took my picture, but the tide was out and the sea was dead-calm...Find Water Lane (runs Northwards from the middle of town) and drive right to the end... well not right to the end because you might need rescue if you actually fall onto the beach, but at the end you'll find a little car park with the obligatory person in a wooden hut waiting to take a couple of quid off you for the privilege of parking on a bit of dirt. Trust me and do it.Walk down the hill (passing the cafe on your right) to the beach. There's sand, there's (lots of) rocks, there's (lots of) chalk bed, there's fossils, there's (lots of) rock pools (this area is famed for them) teeming with interesting things (probably water), and there's the sea lapping away at the end. Bring a bucket and spade - the kids will make sandcastles and return with wondrous critters for you to marvel over (if they can find and catch them). The cafe is there for all the things you need for refreshments or forgot to pack in your picnic. What are you waiting for? Enjoy the (real) great British sea-side, sea, beach and fresh air, but WITHOUT all the hoards of holidaymakers, amusement arcades, funfairs and all the other plasticky glitzy noisy distractions designed to extract the last hard-earned penny out of your pocket like you'd find in Blackpool, or Weston-Super-Mare or Southend.

Lovely people and great serviceNot a large menu, but when you see people queuing outside, you understand why!A haven for visitors,(and birdwatchers) with the West Runton Mammoth discovered nearby and the Norfolk Costal footpath passing across the lane .The café carries lots of local information and a superb sea water tank complete with inhabitants!Dog friendly and proper mugs of tea!

Just love this place. Staff are super friendly. Quality ingredients used for toasted sandwiches with good size cups of tea. What more could you want. The sea view is superb with outside seating. An ideal location for a day on the beach. Love you guys, and especially Sam!

Started the morning with a quick cuppa friendly staff in clean small cafe surroundings. Did a late morning tour of the beach towards Sheringham looking for Norfolk Flint Circles, found just the one. May need another visit. After a few hours on the beach returned to Seaview and had really tasty toasted sandwiches.sat on the terrace overlooking the beach, marvelous! There is a beach below the cafe which on the Cromer side is ok for swimming and in high season has a Lifeguard, dogs not allowed on this section. Car park at the top of the cliff £2.50 for the day gentle walk down to the sea. Public toilets near the Cafe. as they say in Norfolk a bootiful day out!

Called in Today for a quick snack & drink as we have been here several times in the past. Unfortunately it was not quite the same as it was a couple of years ago. One member of staff was not as customer friendly as she could have been. Food was less than average. Sorry but we won't be returning

This is the second visit to the pub- after the annual Land Rover rally for the Norfolk firefighters charity. The first time we visited was just for drinks, this time we had a meal- a roast dinner in my case. We hadn’t booked and were very pleased with the service, the lady behind the bar took our orders promptly and was very helpful with the children’s menu. Food was served quickly and was delicious, proper “pub grub” The atmosphere was very pleasant too, it was a dark, wet November night and upon entering you’re greeted by an open fire, cozy bar and cozy restaurant. Will definitely be returning- more than once a year!

Best iced coffee ever! A regular here, staff always helpful and polite. Place is always clean and tidy. Food is always freshly cooked. Dogs always welcomed with a bowl of fresh water and a butcher's sausage. Today after a stressful morning I needed a nice friendly place to go. No brainer! Megs and an iced coffee, all is right again with the world. Thanks Thomaz
