The best restaurants in East of England

On industrial estate. Parking. Spotlessly clean ladies toilet. Disabled access & toilet. Good sausages in roll, they added onions as extra. I had panini which was lovely, hot & full of filling with side salad. Friendly staff.

Quality is below average, loverly staff but, after 4 goes I wouldn't recommend.

We visited brightlingsea today. On arrival we went straight to get lunch. Food was a good price and delicious. We had loaded fries and panini and my son had sausage and chips. We later returned and brought buckets and spades, bait for crabbing, more drinks and ice creams throughout the day. After regularly using them throughout day for refreshments we asked if we could have some boiled water to fill a flask for my 5 week old baby for his bottle and they charged us for boiled water! This I feel is disgusting. The café was heaving all day and they must of made a killing but to charge for boiled water has angered me and truly made me think twice about using this café again as I think that is greedy.

After reading all the reviews me and my partner thought we would give it a go as was only down the road. What a mistake that was, the staff were friendly but food was shocking. Will not be coming back.

Perfect location for a cocktail in the sun. Service was exceptional and friendly. Cocktail was to die for. Enjoyed our drinks we booked the next day for breakfast. Food was hot, fresh & tasty. Again superb service from another team of staff. Such a happy place to be.

Very busy so be prepared to queue but worth the wait and the staff are very pleasant and kind. Clean place too. All different types of food and drinks, plus ice creams. Sells buckets/spades/crabbing lines and jewellery too.

Great place. Great pub. Attentive and helpful. Punctual with drinks and food and could not do enough to help out. Good day out

Can't comment nearly 2 hours for an order that was cancelled. Won't try again.

Called here with a view to lunch to find it is now (end Aug) a smart looking Tandoori/Curry restaurant. We weren't looking for a curry lunch so did not stop.

Did not like it at all and won't be going again 😕 flies 😳 and machine to kill them off or not working hygiene standards none 🤔 😐

Booked via their booking app - got confirmation via email - arrived promptly only to find it was shut! But of a joke really !

very good nights have been had at the pizza loft. Good atmosphere and good food. Sadly the place has had to close for good on Saturday 13th August 2022 as the restaurant room is required back by Lings cycle shop. Very sad news.

We decided to go for an easy Sunday roast and a drink with all the family, just to keep it easy really. I didn’t know what to expect , other than a standard pub roast. However I was so impressed, every element had been cooked and presented with care. Such great flavour and so tasty. Good quality ingredients done well. Reasonable price and great value for the roast we received. The sides of Cauliflower cheese, stuffing balls an absolute must.

This tearoom has the most scrumptious cakes. Everything is homemade and the place is lovely and clean. Love their breakfast sandwiches too!

RestoBistro is Epping’s best kept secret, nestled at the southern end of the high street. The food is absolutely delicious, all homemade. An independent restaurant with extremely high standards. The chef and management put on various special themed nights which are always fantastic. I particularly like the Sunday Roasts which are the best for miles around.
