Maluchi's Restaurant in Castle Point

Eight of us ( four couples ) went there on Saturday evening it was all booked in advance. They had a change of menu which was a slight shame as some had already picked from the on line menu. They never sold any bitter which was surprising but in all fairness to them they soon got some for one of the guys. The staff were very nice and very friendly and the food that we eventually picked due to the different menu was superb. All in all a very pleasant experience and i think we will defiantly return at some point.

Great family run restaurant. Food was lovely and the waitress and chef accommodating regarding special dietary requirements. Like the decor!

Had a family meal here, staff were really friendly with waitress checking in on us often. For me, the food was a bit disappointing, there were things crossed off the menu and most of the dishes didn’t come with what was stated in the menu. The restaurant is beautiful inside however and I appreciated the attention to detail.

Went for a meal tonight with friends, food was ok but ridiculously portioned, a side of chips had 9 chips in total! The dessert was cold, All four of us left hungry still. The food was ok just half the size that it should be really. Won't be returning.

We chose here as some of the party had dined here before and had really good reviews...on this occasion we were unlucky! Apparently the chef was a stand in chef. The starters we're ok, although a couple of errors by bringing a paté to two people instead of the potted prawns. In fairness they did offer to change them, but as it would have meant waiting, the two decided to stick with the paté. The mains came up a different times and a lot had cold vegetables, which was mentioned to the staff, the chicken dish with risotto was bland, the beef dish was too salty, the surf and turf actually had nice flavours, just the cold vegetables, which was a common complaint across the whole party. Having spoken to those who had been before and seen some great reviews, I do think we were just unlucky, but as this was our first time, this is all we have to go on. Will probably try again at some point as everyone can have a bad day, just unfortunate it was the day we dined there.

Recently visited this absolutely gem for an ABBA tribute night and it was amazing. The food was incredible and so was the atmosphere! Friendly and welcoming staff from the moment you arrive. Can’t wait to go back and try more dishes!❤️

I have been to Maluchis a few times and it exceeds expectations every single time. One of my most favourite restaurants to visit. Great food, amazing atmosphere and loveliest staff. Makes it even better knowing It is ran by the most kindest family. I cannot wait to rebook to go back! Make sure you book, You will not be disappointed!!!! Thank you as always Maluchi family 😍

Have been here several times, as a family, with friends and on date nights. Food is always amazing and the staff can not be more helpful and accommodating. We love this place so much we even had the restaurant booked to cater for our wedding which unfortunately had to be postponed. But we will definitely be coming back again and again and again.

A group of 32 of us, another group of 10 and a family of 6 all attended the Tina Tribute evening this week. It was a fabulous evening for so many reasons. The food was excellent and very reasonably priced with a good choice for all tastes. The waiting staff were outstanding- so helpful, friendly and efficient. Tina herself was also extremely entertaining and involved us all in the action- wonderful energy and voice and ensured that nobody was left out. Nobody wanted the evening to finish but when it did, the care and concern of the owner and his staff once again was wonderful- calling taxis for us, waiting outside and ensuring our safety at all times. I can’t wait for the next time!

I visited with 3 friends on a Saturday evening. It was fairly quiet but had a good atmosphere. I ordered steak medium rare. When it came up it was cooked well done. My friends already had their dishes so I didn’t want to change mine but I did mention it to the waitress who offered another dish but I declined. The steak was so tough I could only eat about half of it. The manager seemed more interested in whether we liked the music as he came & asked us 3 times if the music was ok and what would we like to hear. Not once were asked if we wanted more drinks or if everything was ok with our meals. The bill came with my steak still in there. We paid in full as we just assumed as I hadn’t changed my dish I had to pay. None of my friends dishes were particularly enjoyable either so we left rather disappointed. Also, While using the ladies toilet there was an awful smell of drains and dirty water coming up through the sink! I sent an email the following morning detailing all my comments but did not hear from them at all. One of my friends sent a follow up email a couple of weeks later which did get a reply. Explaining the steak was fatty because of the cut of the meat (not the main issue, it was how it was cooked not to my request) and the waitress had now been let go! Not actually her fault as she didn’t cook the steak or make the decisions in the restaurant! I am still awaiting a reply to my original email!! Unfortunately I will not be returning to this restaurant and definitely do not recommend anyone visit. Such a shame as it seems to have lots of promise but not much effort!!

Fantastic tapas for lunch. On a hot summers day what can be better than a comfortable air conditioned restaurant serving the best tapas this side of Madrid. What a change to have Spanish food in Benfleet. The garlic prawns were totally delicious, in fact each of the tapas dishes we had were lovely. What a nice way to while away a lunchtime, totally recommend Maluchis.

We had a lovely Sunday lunch From the moment we arrived we were greeted by the owner and were seated in a lovely booth The decor is very modern and everything matched including the tableware Real napkins!! I love this ! We had the Roast beef Plenty of veg and the beef was generous portion and tender Must say we think it was Eva the waitress name! Was fantastic so professional always asking if we needed more drinks etc We finished off with Eton mess and sticky toffee pudding Both were well presented and tasted divine The music was fantastic and can imagine how the ambience will be at night! I said to my partner what a lovely restaurant to come to on a date! So we will definitely be back There was a large table celebrating a birthday lunch Great venue to have a celebration the way they can place the tables so everyone can sit together Great menu choice too Would love to have a lunch tasting the tapas We can’t wait to come back
