Our annual trip to this quirky tearoom didnât disappoint. The cheerful owner is happy to provide food n drink in any combination you choose. But why you wouldnât want their treacle tart and custard is beyond me!
Great service, fab home cooked treats, reasonable prices and an interesting mini antiques centre to browse ⊠whatâs not to like??!!
Fantastic restaurant, perfect ambience.
Lovely welcoming staff , could not be more helpful.
The food was absolutely outstanding and will be returning very soon .
Always a pleasure when my wife and l visit Room no9. Firstly the staff are always pleasant and engaging. Secondly the food is always hot and fresh. A credit to Leighton Buzzard. Tip: Advise booking as it can get very busy. My wife and i went on the off chance and were unable to get in. We went to another nearby eatablishment and met completely the opposite to service and food delivered at Room no 9.
Easily my favourite Jamaican spot in Tilbury. Run by two amazing sisters who truly care about quality, portion size, and customer satisfaction. Iâm there most Fridays for the stew fishâitâs massive, comes with rice and peas, and somehow costs less than anywhere else in London. Service can take a little time, but the food is always worth the wait. Unbeatable value and proper home-style flavour.
Terrible, sorry but the quality of meat is not good! Chewy and just bland! Trying to be MichelinâŠyou need to offer sauces and something to compliment the meat a plate of meat is just boring! The weird potatoes doesnât substitute chips you arenât a posh restaurant just serve chips. Over all just an over priced rubbish experience and I just wouldnât return. The staff very lovely.
Really lovely meal at the Balti Spice! Staying at Stansted before flying so booked a meal here; the food was great (best naan bread Iâve ever had!) and the service was excellent! Would recommend to anyone in the area looking for a good quality Indian meal!
Small cafe with a handful of tables. Excellent breakfast for a very reasonable cost, ÂŁ6 for a full English. Dog friendly with a sausage treat for them. We visited 2 mornings with 4 adults and 4 dogs. Would throughly recommend.
We booked Shooters for breakfast as advertised . When we got there , expecting an American menu there were 3 options Full English Vegetarian or Sandwiches . It appears that â Shootersâ donât actually do the breakfast . When mine came the wafer thin sliced mushrooms ( there wasnât even 1 full mushroom I imagine ) were stone cold as was the bacon beans and tinned tomatoes . I ate the egg and hash brown .
So if you book â shooters â for breakfast be aware that you wonât get a diner breakfast just a cold mediocre breakfast for ÂŁ7.95
Lovely venue, scrumptious food!! Worh lots of variety and even gluten free! Staff could have been more helpful. Will definitely be coming back!! Thank you nature bake x
Went to Bedford Lodge for afternoon tea. Placed in what can only describe as
a corridor that led to the toilets and I assume rooms. The young lady described what we were getting and in due course arrived with the first sandwich stand and tea. Unfortunately this exemplified the small size of the table. The sandwiches were excellent. The second stand consisted of cakes which were very poor ( tasteless ), most of which we did not eat. To sum up the seating arrangement was awful and the tea left much to be desired. Don't expect to get what the website shows. Never again.
