Had a week in a caravan on the St. Osyth Beach site & on several occasions i saw one of the male workers at the back of the shop 1st time, snotting ( blowing his nose on to the floor, both nostrils, without a tissue ), wiping his hands all over his t-shirt & then going back inside to cook.! I actually once saw him do it outside the front of the shop, whilst people were sat there eating & then pulling his t-shirt up to wipe his nose & again then going back into the shop to cook. Absolutely disgusting behaviour & i will NEVER eat there agin, makes me feel sick thinking about it. So sad, because i've loved their fish & chips over the years, but with some-one like that working there, there's no way i am eating from there any more & i have told my friends & they are disgusted too & will no longer go there.!

What has happened to Wadud's?? We went last night with a group of friends and were the only customers there. The food was terrible, even the poppadoms were soft...not a good start. Thai dumplings - all watery and open. Thai Jasmin rice - am sure was just basmati, Scallops in Tamarind Sauce , I think was hoisin sauce.... In truth, everyone on our table was disappointed with their meal and ate some of it, but only because they were hungry, certainly not because it was nice!! Service was slow, took ages to clear plates between courses.... Ordered wine, it was ok but NOT what was on the drinks menu....serving £6 supermarket wine rather than what was advertised, really poor form. Gutted to write this review as we used to really love this place - just think other people should know.

Unfortunately, not happy with what we got for our money. Paying premium price for stone cold chips and one out of 2 cod that came straight out the frier into the box, was swimming in grease so much so it was running down the batter onto the plate when you cut into it. One cod was very nice and done very well but 1/3 isn’t what you expect for £23

Fabulous food and great service. We have been several times and have never been disappointed. Staff are lovely and welcoming .

Make sure your stomach is empty before attempting the artery cleanser. superb quality and enough on the plate to feed a small army!

Covid Safe, Thoroughly enjoyed the food, so tasty and plenty of it! Even had a few cheeky cocktails. Can’t wait to return. I cannot work out why this restaurant isn’t right at the top of the trip advisor list for Ely? If you haven’t been go!

Worst place I have ever seen, they prepared simple tea within 20 minutes and the children was taking orders in the payment point. One man just asked when my order will come(because he was waiting for 40 minutes for his breakfast) and the woman (mom of children, I do not know) stupidly said “you can not speak with children like that” but the child took the order, there was no adult in the payment point or in front of shop. If this woman did not use “ypu can not talk with children” like that as an excuse, I would never have complained like this. This woman stupidly complained about the man . But the man talked respectfuly, she just waa looking for an excuse their bad service!!

This is a great local restaurant that serves delicious food. Don’t be put off by the dated decor, it does however create a charming feel. It is more on the expensive side, but the food is delicious.

Best fish and chips in Suffolk so far. We had haddock, chips, and peas. Huge portion, All very enjoyable, we will return from Ipswich.

Had a lovely afternoon tea with a Groupon voucher. Everything was freshly made, delicious cakes with warm scones. Good selection of sandwiches with sausage rolls. Lady who owned the cafe was very friendly and welcoming. Well worth the money we paid.

Wow, what a lovely lunch we had today! All three courses were beautifully served, and tasted delicious (including the vegan option). The trainee waiters were very respectful and attentive, and confident enough to have a chat about their course. The instructor guided them subtly when necessary, to help them improve their skills. We are so lucky to have this restaurant in Norwich! We have already booked a return visit.

Eight of us ( four couples ) went there on Saturday evening it was all booked in advance. They had a change of menu which was a slight shame as some had already picked from the on line menu. They never sold any bitter which was surprising but in all fairness to them they soon got some for one of the guys. The staff were very nice and very friendly and the food that we eventually picked due to the different menu was superb. All in all a very pleasant experience and i think we will defiantly return at some point.
