The Partridge in King's Lynn and West Norfolk

Lovely food and staff, all staff were very polite, food is reasonably priced, great quality i would definitely recommend!

Our family (5) booked in here for Sunday lunch. It was nice to see that there were a couple of alternatives to the traditional Sunday lunch (from memory, fish and chips and a linguini dish as well as a nut roast) The food was superb and the nut roast was the nicest I have had! Really good coffee too! The staff were personable and friendly and very efficient and this also added to the experience. I would recommend booking as the place looked pretty busy yesterday!

A harmless looking pub on a quiet road near King's Lynn in Norfolk, The Partridge held every good surprise I could imagine. Excellent food served by friendly, professional people in an olde worlde pub setting. Couldn't fault it.

From our arrival to our leaving, the service and quality of food and ambience was superb. 4 of us dining, we all had the Sunday roast. The quality of the meat was tiptop, as was quality of the vegetables and puds. Much care was taken with presentation, and generous sized portions. Lovely friendly atmosphere created by the front of house staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Definitely on our list to revisit. Thank you all involved at the Partridge!

Took my better half out for Saturday lunch in January. The food was just quite outstanding. The place filled up as we ate. People know quality, it is quality. The pork strips in sauce delightful, the scampi fab. Not been for an evening meal , but will do, but i think its a gem of a place. Very rare you get a lunch out that maintains high end restaurant standards. The Service matches the food.

We travel to Norfolk for Christmas annually. 1st visit here, not the last! Ribeye steak...' par excellence ', truffle mushrooms, freshly cooked Stilton sauce, 10/10 My husband had Elgoods fish/ chips, again...10/10. Jed and Ashleigh have ' nailed ' it! A warm welcome when we arrived and promptly shown to our table. We both had the scampi light bites, followed by roast beef for my husband and roast pork for myself. The pork was so tender and very tasty. The vegetables were delicious, as was the cauliflower cheese! Extra gravy came as standard. We were too full for a dessert. The staff were very polite, courteous and helpful. Will definitely go back.

My husband and I have visited numerous times, but most recently enjoyed eating here during Norfolk Restaurant Week. There was a warm friendly welcome upon our arrival, and after ordering drinks at the bar, we were quickly shown to our table. The menu was varied and imaginative and offered something for pretty much every taste. I decided upon the tomato soup followed by sea bass and my husband chose the sea food platter (a huge favorite of his) followed by chicken, all of which was superb. Everything both tasted, and looked, beautiful. We both love good food and neither of us could fault our choices. Ashleigh, Jed and their team of staff do a great job of making your whole experience with them a memorable one. Neither of us would hesitate to recommend The Partridge to our friends or family, or anyone in fact, for any occasion. It really has been a great little find and we will most definitely be back!

I had a wonderful Sunday lunch here today with my wife and son (up from London) - 2 roast beef dinners, 1 pork, 2 apple cinnamon crumble and 1 strawberry ice cream. Beautifully cooked. My wife had a problem and was so well looked after by the staff. We all thank you so much and look forward to booking the Xmas Party Menu and making plans here for next year. I went to The Partridge with my family during Norfolk Restaurant Week. Well worth it - the food was excellent. I had a seafood platter followed by butternut squash and goat cheese risotto ( I have diet restrictions which were well catered for). The tables are well spaced and restaurant is carpeted too, so it didn't feel too noisy. All in all we felt very well looked after. Staff were really friendly and it was very clean. There was also a friendly dog. He's not allowed in the restaurant, only the bar.

Fabulous meal for Norfolk restaurant week at this newly renovated establishment. Food was superbly prepared which is v important as hubby is Coeliac. The welcome was great and as the Partridge makes it clear they are dog friendly but only in the bar I think they will be very popular. Excellent.

If you enjoy eating in a zoo then give The Partridge a try, however if you aspire to human standards of hygiene then avoid at all costs. On my previous visit I was greeted by two large aggressive dogs and left after 30 seconds. I assumed that was an inconsiderate customer. I chose a different time of day and returned for a nice meal. It’s a dog lovers family home and I respect that but wished I knew before arrival. The dogs bed at the bar is evidence of where their priorities are, and customers are at the bottom of the list. The chap greeting us on arrival and taking payment was polite, friendly and a credit. He was the only positive. Three times I was hassled by a dog at the furthest point away from the bar, in the restaurant where I repeatedly heard that dogs shouldn’t be. When the dog was between my legs I wanted to leave immediately. The desert was pleasant but the main course was Wetherspoons quality, nothing wrong with that when it’s £8 including a pint but I’m not a fan of paying three times that. It’s a nice building and setting so I’ll wait for the current owners to go out of business and try again when it’s under new management, hopefully not before too long.

A birthday meal we won't forget, the steak was inedible so chewy, we sent it back at £27 it was very disappointing something we were really looking forward to ,it was replaced by a burger that wasn't that better ,it tasted as though it was cooked from frozen. The Partridge was recommended to us as a really good place to eat but will not going again.

The partridge has an excellent atmosphere. The food is excellent. The staff where so accommodating to the needs of our family it made the afternoon very memorable.
