Dirty tables, staff who clearly had never worked behind a bar before, gin and tonic no lemon or lime, run out of branded glasses… really poor, come on it’s not that difficult!

We enjoyed the food off the Tapas menu on the evening of June 30th with two friends. The portions were enough for two people to share and delicious. We also thought the live music on the night was excellent. One thing we noticed was that two tables that were reserved for 7.30pm the people failed to turn up for the meal. Earlier on the staff had requests from walk ins to have a table and we're turned away because they were fully booked. Nothing wrong with that and understandable. Perhaps when you have these Tapas evenings in the future it may be worth taking a deposit to reduce the possibility of people failing to keep their reservations which is rude and inconsiderate. We would have happily paid one ourselves. The England Euro football match was on that night so perhaps that's why they didn't turn up. Still no excuse though. I think we were first in and the last to leave. A great night was had by all who attended l believe. We hope to visit again soon. Kind regards Sylvia and Iain.

What a thoroughly enjoyable evening we had at the Mussel Night at the Pavilion yesterday evening. Meet and Greet and shown to our table Choice of mussel dishes. We both chose the Classic with fries. Loved it ! Great service by Harvey and Kyle. Reasonably priced. Well done Team The Pavilion 👏

Cracker of a venue, ideal to eat and drink, especially after a round of golf but equally with friends for lunch or afternoon tea, roof top is beautiful in the sun

Like it here. Only recently started to visit. Had breakfast on one occasion and coffee and cake on another. Also attended for a function. Impressed. Great setting. Will be visiting for a meal in the not too distant future

Went here for a funeral wake. Great food. Would have been better if more than one person serving at the bar.

Ordered an apple crumble as previously ordered and loved it, but seems to be a change in how it’s made as was microwaved which made the apples hard and left a large amount of watery substance in the bottom

We decided to have our wedding reception here and Emily was amazing from the very 1st time we spoke with her and all the way through to the big day Nothing was too much trouble we had a couple of people with dietary needs and these were catered for with ease Then the big day arrived where Emily's other half Richard took over with the cooking and omg he done us proud , feedback from all the guests was positive 100% Massive thank you to you both and your staff for making it happen

Everyone should go here just for the milkshakes. We even had an extra milkshake instead of dessert because they are soooo good. Rayna May was a friendly, efficient, knowledgeable waitress. The place was really clean and comfortable. The food was very reasonably priced. My salad was amazing, my friend really enjoyed her burger and did I mention the milkshakes 🤣🤣🤣

As regular customers for lunch on Saturdays my partner and I have noticed that the service has got worse. If the owner isn’t there, the young staff who despite doing their best, leave customers for ages before taking orders and don’t notice when customers need them. Today we received our beers but no glasses, then we waited 50 mins for 2 basic mains and a side dish, they came followed by our cutlery. The food is good and the staff are lovely but it’s clear there weren’t enough doing front of house and probably the kitchen, as we weren’t alone waiting ages today. We want to support it as an independent restaurant but the really slow service is putting us off.

First Sunday lunch at the Heron and it definitely won’t be the last! Absolutely beautiful and lots of it, everything was cooked to perfection. I had the roast sirloin and my hubby had the Turkey. Can’t recommend this place enough!!
