As regular customers for lunch on Saturdays my partner and I have noticed that the service has got worse. If the owner isn’t there, the young staff who despite doing their best, leave customers for ages before taking orders and don’t notice when customers need them. Today we received our beers but no glasses, then we waited 50 mins for 2 basic mains and a side dish, they came followed by our cutlery. The food is good and the staff are lovely but it’s clear there weren’t enough doing front of house and probably the kitchen, as we weren’t alone waiting ages today. We want to support it as an independent restaurant but the really slow service is putting us off.

We arrived and were seated immediately. Friendly and welcoming staff made us feel comfortable at once. We had a Breakfast Burrito and Chilli Nachos. The chilli was gluten free and they swapped the cheese for the vegan version thus covering all my intolerances. The food arrived and it looked great. The Chilli was tasty and so nice with the nachos. The Burrito was lovely and tasted great. We thoroughly enjoyed our food and overall experience. Recommended

BEWARE IF YOU HAVE DIETARY RESTRICTIONS! I have been vegetarian for over 30 years, yesterday I was very happy to find a nice cafe with such a great variety of tasty vegetarian and vegan options and so today we returned again for our lunch, ordering a main each as well as chilli bean nachos to share, a great pile of loaded nachos after the first few from the top I was able to get a good loaded nacho into my mouth - only to suffer the ultimate disgust and disappointment - my nachos under the guacamole, salsa and sour cream were loaded with beef! I had a mouthful of meat! I complained to the waitress whose apology extended to “I wrote bean on the slip” and reluctantly muttered she wouldn’t charge me for it! How generous! Not charged for a dish I didn’t order, after my mouth being contaminated with meat. Very lucky it is a dietary choice not an allergy! There was no apology for the fact that they served a vegetarian meat. No acknowledgment of the error or upset it caused. What if it was an allergy? I would be very ill right now. When we went to pay there no reduction in the bill by way of apology - just “well we haven’t charged for the nachos” I should think not! Why would you charge for something I didn’t order or eat??? The service and sincerity of the apology was appalling. Upon further complaint the staff called the manager to see if they could show their apology on a reduction on the bill and the most they give was c. £3 off. After spending £100 on food in there over the weekend, the apology stretched to a miserly £3!! Thank god it’s not an allergy. I will not be eat there again!

We’re pretty much in kings Lynn every other week. And I’ve had to ask myself… why haven’t I been here B4? Archers is a little cafe / cocktail bar gem. Today was our youngest treat day and he wanted pancakes… so looking online we found this place, and we are so happy we did! As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by a lovely friendly host , sat down and within 15mins had our food all at the same time. Breakfast - “really well cooked” said the teen , normally we only get a grunt 😂 Vegan avocado toast - nice lite bite to kick of the day Breakfast burrito No.2 - VERY impressed with this. Needed a little more seasoning but there is salt and pepper on the table - it really was one of the best things I’ve had all week. 😋 And of course we had a short stack pancakes 🥞 - although only three pancakes this was more than enough (even for an adult) with apple sauce melting butter and maple syrup - this is pure indulgence - loved it … but could not finish it. Two hot chocolates And two freshly made lemonade Not often I leave a tip in places, but this small venue was well worth it. This will now be our little go to venue when next in kings Lynn. If you haven’t been b4 … then what are you waiting for?

The coffee was superb, the lady who brought them to us outside was very friendly. It's just a shame about the massive brick wall opposite which I know is out of their control so maybe some electric lights over the tables to brighten things up. We will definitely call back here.

Popped in on Saturday night for drinks, hadn’t booked so we were lucky to get a table. We’ve eaten breakfast here a few times and been several times in the evening for cocktails, which are always superb. This time we decided to order food with our drinks. Visited King’s Lynn with my partner, found this cafe which at first seemed promising. However, once we’d sat down and ordered our food, it took almost an hour for it to come out. Given that it was a nice sunny day, I would have expected the managers to have had the foresight to ensure there were enough staff on. The food was great, but the service wasn’t.

This is a fabulous restaurant. Whilst wandering around King's Lynn we looked for somewhere for lunch. We happened upon Archers and were not disappointed. Service great with friendly and attentive staff. Menu interesting and we have to recommend the vegetarian breakfast and chicken club sandwich. Decor is understated but cool, music is just right. We are only disappointed it is the last day of our holiday so we cannot return tomorrow. Coffee and drinks menu great too.

A small cafe/bar situated in the backs more or less from the “strip” of town. We have visited numerous times across the 12 months and has always been consistent. It’s a shame there is a tight floor plan and not more tables because when it is full from the 12 tables you’ll be disappointed. Food is really good, massive portions and great pricing. New restaurants have opened in kings lynn who do not reach the mark of standards, quality and standards, so do not miss out. I operate a restaurant and bar in Norwich in the top 5 on Trip and I can safely say without a doubt you will not be disappointed, importantly will return!

Came in here with two friends whilst visiting King's Lynn. It is simply so refreshing to have so much choice of vegetarian dishes - which were all lovely and made in house. The cocktails are very good too. Lovely rustic feel, and lovely staff. On a wet Sunday lunchtime in October in Kings Lynn, we popped into this place to grab a bite to eat and escape the rain. It's small but friendly - there were a number of customers already there (suggesting it's popular) but it wasn't too crowded to be uncomfortable. Archers serves brunches, lunches and sandwiches with some desserts. We had sandwiches - bacon & brie, and a bacon, lettuce, tomato, avocado - very generous fillings, Both came with home cooked fries (like crisps) and side salad. Along with coffee, we felt we ate well and were pretty full. Common enough menu (burgers, hotdogs, chili). And the customer toilet has unusual wallpaper!

We booked a table and decided to arrive in the middle of happy hour which is a generous 3 hours long, from 5-8pm! During this time a selection of cocktails are basically 2 for 1. The staff were helpful by creating different tabs for us and in suggesting cocktails for our individual tastes. We had a small selection of the nights tapas specials and were not disappointed, they were all utterly delicious and freshly made. We Also had the chilli beef nachos which were really tasty. The cocktails are so good here, we tried quite a selection but for me the Espresso Martinis and Mojitos really stood out- delicious! I had been served my drink despite having to remind the waiter to bring my partners tea pot over as she had been given the cup and milk but no tea. Terrible customer service, took ages to get our food order taken and then a long time to receive food. I found a black hair in my homemade hash brown I told the waiter who offered me a new hash brown... I asked him to take the plate away and wanted a new meal although no food came and nobody came to apologise to the table. After 15 minutes of waiting, my boyfriend asked what was happening - NOTHING I wasn't getting any more food. The manager, who is also the chef, came out to talk to us and was very confrontational and aggressive. He squared up to my partner and was very intimidating. I paid for his meal in the hope of defusing the situation but was short changed - by this time I was feeling quite frightened of this man and just wanted to leave. Other customers left due to the hair in my food and terrible customer service. The manager then asked the other people "why are you leaving then?" in a confrontational manner (as if it wasn't obvious!) and proceeded to blame

However we stood at the door for 5 minutes waiting to be greeted and no one did so I had to go to the bar and ask if we could wait. Waited 20mins for food which considering its all cooked fresh, wasnt too long. It was perfection on a plate. Had a full english breakfast, the egg was undercooked, the hash browns were not cooked either, these looked home made, raw potatoes looked like they were coated in porridge oats, tasted horrible. Could not eat them or the egg, so overpriced at £12.00 for a a bit of bacon and egg, drinks were extra. Wife had two slices of toast and was pleased that is all she had ordered. I think the mess about with the food too much adding this that and the other, if its good food you don't need to smother it with sauces and mustard and flags, etc. Place is dark and dingy, small cramped tables, WC next to the kitchen not very hygienic.

Popped in for lunch on a recommendation. The interior is small and cosy. The menu seemed a touch expensive for what is not high cuisine or service. The food was tasty but runs the risk of being too complicated. For example the sausage roll with red onion or cabbage was an unnecessary addition. Also the pineapple juice was so full of ice it meant the quantity of juice was small. Surely a good cafe can keep juice cold without the need for excessive ice

Starting at the beginning .... we love the comfort of Archers with its mismatched crockery and the quirky decor, the staff are always welcoming, and give just the right amount of attention to diners. The food is always “tasty” and well seasoned ..... I am afraid I am the type of person that always opens up a sandwich to add pepper and just a little salt - this is never necessary at Archers! . The menu choices are great with the addition of the Daily Specials. Portions sizes are large for us at lunchtime so we often end up sharing - which is never frowned upon. Home- made soups are delicious as are the salads & mum loves the chips - as well as the house wine!. There is always great music and that adds to the atmosphere. It’s a little different just here, we loved it’s unique style. It was 0830hrs and we needed breakfast. Looked busy - always a good sign. Was a bit unsure at first as it looks a bit dark on the outside, and doesn’t shout bright and efficient, but the food was very very good. Properly chargrilled tomatoes, thick bacon and sausages, homemade hash browns to die for and thick farmhouse toast give this cafe the edge. A little gem food wise. They’ve catered for English or American breakfasts daughter getting stack of fluffy pancakes which comes with berries and maple syrup. The staff were very attentive serving drinks pronto. Tea good and quick refills. Proper kitchen brigade in black and red gear, hair out of sight a relief, playing cool rap in the kitchen! Toilets are wallpapered with comic book covers, clean, well maintained with soap and towels dispenser attended to frequently. Can sit outside however it’s on the shady side of the street which made it a little chilly but take a jacket or cardigan and you’re sorted. It’s off centre in a pedestrianised walkway, and therefore the entertainment is watching people walking into town. Lovely.

I first went to Archers a year ago on a Friday; the food and service were really good. They have a selection of vegetarian dishes which can be 'veganised' on request. My second visit was for brunch on a Sunday. The cafe has a small number of tables seating between two and four customers each. Our party of three ordered two coffees and one tea whilst looking through the menu. The two waitresses were chatting and laughing behind the coffee machine, joined occasionally by one of the kitchen staff. After one hour, two coffees arrived, but no tea. I had ordered coffee with soya milk and tomatoes on toast with a non-dairy spread. The waitress wanted to know why I didn't want dairy, even though they served the non-dairy alternative! After a further half hour, we were one of two occupied tables and it was obvious to us that we were not going to receive our food order. So we paid for our drinks and left.

I pop in here on occasions, it is cosy warm and friendly. Coffee and cream is the best in town. The menus is varied, tasty and not expensive. The breakfast choice is particularly good. Well worth a visit in my opinion.

This is a lovely little gem in King's Lynn, I'd recommend going for breakie, brunch or lunch or equally they do great drinks in the evening. Happy hour's 6-8 during which cocktails are 3 for £10 :)

Fabulous food, cooked well & served with a smile. If you want something different for breakfast or lunch, this is well worth a visit. We have seen all sorts of people eating in here, from solicitors to shoppers.

Popped in here on a Sunday at about 1.30 pm. A young couple were serving . We waited about 10mins for menus. Choice of food was not to bad and the food was reasonable. My criticism here is how long it takes to be served and that the young lad can not do anything without running his fingers through his floppy hair, I didn't see him wash his hands once. Not what you want to see when you have ordered food.

We booked a table for 12 girls for last night, came in sat down & a nice young lad gave us menus each so we could order. A few of us were driving so had a few mocktails, which were lovely. The lad came back & said could he take say 50% of the menus back which is understandable as we probably used most of the ones you have! About 5/10 minutes later, a red haired lady stormed over and snatched the last of the menus off the table. This same ladies personal hygiene wasn't great as her odor stunk, which isn't very nice when she's leaning all over you. She grabbed a glass so hard off of another table that she dropped it and it smashed on the floor. £96 later, we all gathered our money and counted it a number of times, someone came to our table and took the money. A few minutes later, the red haired lady barged back over to the table, and told us there wasn't enough money, re counted it and it was £10 short. I was driving, I saw the money being counted. But how could anyone prove there was or wasn't enough money? So we paid up the £10 to the bad tempered woman. Also, in the unisex toilet there isn't any hand soap. So when staff use this toilet, then handle food, glasses, cutlery, are their hands clean? This little place has a lot of character, shame the people don't. I think we'll go to Massey & Co. next time!

We found it difficult to find the kind of cafe we like when we arrived in Kings Lynn but eventually found this smart little place. The staff were great even though very busy. The food was American style I had a BLT and my husband a breakfast consisting eggs, unusual, but very crispy and tasty, hash browns, bacon and spinach. We enjoyed our food and the surroundings. We'd go back if ever in Kings Lynn again.

A small café with pleasant service and good food. The choice on the menu is fairly traditional with burgers and ham and eggs being typical, but the food is good and the portions generous. It also opens some evenings as a cocktail bar.

Had the most amazing breakfast at Archers!! As an Australian the coffee requirement is fairly high and Archers met that requirement with 2 huge buckets of great coffee for us to start the day. Pancakes were a winner! We were a little gutted to find them closed on a Monday when we returned to King's Lynn but they again made up for that disappointment on the Tuesday.

I was asked how I wanted my burger. I asked for well done. It came and when I bit in it was pink in the middle and bloody juices ran out of it. I asked if they could Cook it a bit more. The owner took a hostile approach and told me it was just the colour of the meat and that's how they come it's just a bit pink in the middle. I said the rest of it isn't pink. I'd like it cooked more please. When she brought it back she put it on the table and didn't even look at me and was offish when she came back to collect our plates. When I went to pay she told me not to order a burger there again as they couldn't Cook them well done. I've never had such a rude experience in a restaurant before. What a shame she had to act like a sulky child.

Called in on Friday, had drinks, american dog and fries and my wife had pancakes and bacon. The food was fantastic, high quality, fresh and tasty. The room itself is nicely eclectically decorated, clean and doesn't smell of cooking! Best of all the service was really good, two friendly young men ran the place brilliantly. A really interesting menu that I intend to eat my way through! Highly recommended.

Popped in here for a quick lunch at the end of our walk, with our lively springer spaniel, who was made very welcome. We found the Kings Arms staff friendly and welcoming, and we enjoyed excellent sandwiches, sensibly thick and beautifully fresh bread with loads of filling. We thought they were great value, especially given that they were accompanied by salad, crisps and really lovely coleslaw. They really filled us up. It was only a shame that our holiday accommodation is well over an hour away, so we probably won’t be able to repeat the experience soon. We will definitely recommend the Kings Arms.

Everyone should go here just for the milkshakes. We even had an extra milkshake instead of dessert because they are soooo good. Rayna May was a friendly, efficient, knowledgeable waitress. The place was really clean and comfortable. The food was very reasonably priced. My salad was amazing, my friend really enjoyed her burger and did I mention the milkshakes 🤣🤣🤣

We decided to have our wedding reception here and Emily was amazing from the very 1st time we spoke with her and all the way through to the big day Nothing was too much trouble we had a couple of people with dietary needs and these were catered for with ease Then the big day arrived where Emily's other half Richard took over with the cooking and omg he done us proud , feedback from all the guests was positive 100% Massive thank you to you both and your staff for making it happen
