Shooters American Diner in Fenland

We booked Shooters for breakfast as advertised . When we got there , expecting an American menu there were 3 options Full English Vegetarian or Sandwiches . It appears that “ Shooters” don’t actually do the breakfast . When mine came the wafer thin sliced mushrooms ( there wasn’t even 1 full mushroom I imagine ) were stone cold as was the bacon beans and tinned tomatoes . I ate the egg and hash brown . So if you book “ shooters “ for breakfast be aware that you won’t get a diner breakfast just a cold mediocre breakfast for £7.95

Took our daughter & 6 of her friends here for lunch today to celebrate her 9th birthday. The two young ladies serving were amazing. It was very busy but they were very friendly & professional & had taken the time to put up birthday banners for our daughter. The food was lovely & the children all enjoyed themselves. The ladies had even written a personalised message on our bill & wished our daughter a very happy birthday when we left. Thank you to everybody at Shooters for a lovely visit.

Came to the restraurant as a couple, the restraurant had 3 tables of people when we arrived. We ordered starters, drinks and mains. Drinks came timely, however, starters took over 40 minutes. My partner asked if the mains would be coming soon as both where very hungry and had somewhere we needed to be. We were told as we hadn’t booked we aren’t a priority for the restraurant and asked if ‘we had somewhere to be’ when asked about the mains. We ended up cancelling our mains and gone elsewhere. Will never be coming again and will certainly be passing on our comments to others who want to try to avoid! This was the second chance we have given shooters as we first ordered takeaways in the pandemic which weren’t great but this was due to the distance to get to our home from the restraurant so thought to try as dine in experience.

I can't believe we only realised the diner was here last summer, since then we have been about 10 times and have taken different friends and family with us so that should tell you how much we rate Shooters! Every time we have been, whether it has been for breakfast, brunch or lunch the staff have always been so friendly and attentive. The food is amazing, I always have pancakes for breakfast because they are just so tasty, I don't think I have managed to finish a plate yet because they are so big. We have sampled quite a few things on the menu now and everything has been great, well cooked and fresh, including the steak and ribs my husband had recently. There is a great selection of desserts and milkshakes to chose from too. Love this place, great value for money, great quality food and lovely, friendly staff, definitely recommend!

We came here for my sons 10th birthday. He wanted to come last Yr but couldn't because of covid restrictions. My son has been so excited to come bk and celebrate his birthday with family. There was 12 of us and the service was amazing!!! The 2 young ladies serving decorated the table for my son and couldn't do enough for us!!!! The food as always was brilliant!!! We all had mains and desserts and were all stuffed!!!! 100% recommend this place it's fabulous!!!!! Thank you so much for making my son soooooo happy on his birthday!!!!

The food is so tasty portion size perfect and the waitress was very passionate about the food . The steak was cooked to order perfectly

Wow, can't believe we hadn't been here before. The food was amazing, you have to wait a little longer as cooked fresh but it is well worth the wait. We was a table of nine and the food all came out together and hot. The desserts were amazing. The staff were always happy to help and very pleasant. To give you an idea of how good, I went with my mum who always finds fault with food but she actually complimented the chef. Will defo be returning very soon.

An American diner in a Fenland market town offering friendly staff, tasty food, and very big portions. Plenty of Americana on the walls and plenty to choose from on the menu - breakfasts to beefsteaks. Decent value. My only criticism is that, given the size of the portions, the plates could be bigger. I only had the chance to try the lunch menu. The damage? Meal for two - chilli burger, massive pulled pork sub, two tasty milkshakes, and two soft drinks - £27. They’ve just opened up again after lockdown. Do pop in and spend a few pounds. The food is tasty and you could do worse than support a decent local restaurant.

What a brilliant way to start your day with Pancakes, Bacon & Frankfurter covered in Maple Syrup cooked to perfection & served by a happy waitress. Surrounding typical to an American Dinner, with Appropriate music to match, very clean to the Cov. 19 recommendations. ( So pleased there was a Redskins Flag on the wall, big fan. ) I Definitely recommend having a Freak Shake absolutely mind blowing plus a sugar overload, right up my street. Our Waitress Abbie, was friendly, knowledgeable of her menu & couldn’t do enough for us, 10 out of 10. When I’m back in the area, I will be revisiting this establishment, to try another flavored shake & a burger.

Shooters was a lovely find in March thanks to other reviews on here. We had breakfast and it was delicious. Abbie dealt with us and she was marvellous. She took our details and welcomed us really warmly. Nothing was too much for her. Abbie clearly loves her job and it showed. The pancakes were super fluffy and truly tasty. A great breakfast to start our day. Thanks again Abbie, and for putting the Grease soundtrack on! :)

This lovely Gem is not a fast food restaurant but a family run American dinner that offers a wide range of delicious food from pancake breakfast to pancake for dessert, handmade burgers and freshly cut coleslaw. In all our visits to this lovely restaurant we've never been disappointed they also offer delivery and again couldn't fault them

What a terrific little diner. Popped in when visiting March and had desserts with friends and family. Great selection of desserts with a touch of nostalgia and all were enjoyed. The service was very friendly and efficient. Will definitely visit again when back in March.

Had a takeaway yesterday, absolutely fantastic!! Just like eating in. Delivery was on time at a pre arranged time. Food served piping hot and delicious! Support your local restaurants at this difficult time and save contact by less food shopping! It’s a no brainier!

Walked in for a spot of lunch very clean and tidy with fabulous decor. Husband had the hot dog with fries while I had American pancakes with syrup and the guest flavour milkshake which was Baileys. Great food and friendly staff and great music. This is right beside the river Nene, lovely food and location will definitely be back to this riverside gem.

If your in March you must visit this place. Fantastic breakfast, lunch or dinner. The best American diner food around. Quirky setting and great hosts. Highly recommend the brownies!!

We had a couple of friends to stay, they wanted to try Shooters. No pizzas that day and no ice cream. We had to make do with what they had? NOT impressed and will not be going back.

Went to Shooters for a quick bite to eat before we went to watch the footie. Place is reasonably basic but clean and tidy and compliments the American style diner menu. Got seated and menu's quickly, order was taken within a few minutes and drinks bought over, the only downside was it took around 30 minutes to get our two burgers even though there were only 10 other people in. Food was really nice and ingredients were fresh and tasty. Would definitely return although maybe not if it was really busy.

We went here on a whim booked via fb and got a immediate response ,when we arrived we was met by a bubbly enthusiastic waitress who made a fuss of our boy and we felt very welcomed, we was allowed to modify our food and our son ate for free (great marketing and would help families return) this was a pleasant and unexpected addition ,our food was tasty and reasonably priced and we look forward to sampling the food at your new venture which is much closer to our home

Visited shooters one evening and had such a lovely meal. Pizzas were amazing and the staff were lovely and chatty! Will definitely be back!

Found out about Shooters after they were advertised in the local paper launching a new venue at the Thorney A47 so thought we'd check it out.

We visited yesterday for my daughters birthday. There were 19 of us for breakfast and we were hugely impressed. The food was excellent and the service was great. We will definitely be back

Great interior depicting American trivia that will keep you enthralled whilst waiting for your meal once your order has been taken. True American ( and Mexican ) dishes to choose from. We decided on Mexican and we were most impressed. Quality dishes and food friendly service will ensure your experience here will be a good one. Wheelchair access a breeze. Situated just along from the Ship pub. Was very busy when we were there.

We visit shooters regularly, it’s now our first choice to eat out locally. The food is great, it’s made fresh, the burgers are making and deserts are delicious. Kids eat free and they are very friendly and accommodating.

This looks smallish from the outside but is bigger inside than it looks, Nicely decorated and clean looking.

My friend held her wedding party at this venue. The food was delicious but really I want to write this review because of the staff. We were a big group and they did so well accommodating for us all. There was a table of children and at one point I saw a member of staff helping some of the children cut up their food. Their service goes above and beyond so thank you.

I visited on the recommendation of a friend. Chose waffles with bacon and maple syrup. They were great, took me back to my visits to the States. The memorabilia on the walls gives a great atmosphere. The waiting staff were all friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend a visit.

me and my family have been to Shooters a few times now, the staff are very nice and helpful and the food is delicious and well priced. the place is very clean and they are open all day every day. I highly recommend this fabulous American diner.

I keep forgetting to post a review. But I've just found myself thinking about chicken friend waffles and got hungry. A lovely little restaurant in our home town that has become a favourite of us for a nice meal. We don't come often, but we've never been let down on the food or service.

Been here more times than I can think now after trying the restaurant when it first opened, always great food and the staff are really friendly . Best steak I’ve had in March . And dog friendly which is great for us . Definitely recommend.

I came in with my youngest daughter as a treat for her good work at school. She really loved it and even though I'm doing slimming world I could find things on the menu I could also have and they where happy to adapted (no butter on potato and no dressing for salad) in other places I feel it's a chore when I ask for changes but here it wad no fuss at all.

My son and I decided to pop in on the off chance after a bit of shopping , and were pleasantly surprised . The two girls were very friendly and the food was gorgeous , will definitely be returning .

If you want a change from the Sunday carvery lunch (offered at the hotels and pubs in March), then give this place a try! Don't be put off by the exterior, it is much nicer inside. It is spacius and clean. The owner is friendly and helpful. Service is a bit slow, but this is because the food is cooked to order. The portion sizes are large. The food is delicious and the place has a good vibe with cheerful decor and upbeat music playing in the background, at the right volume.

Food was hot, great service, brilliant with the 3 kiddos, family of 13, would definitely come again!

My friends and I often order and collect food, and have eaten in the restaurant a couple of times. The food is great and comes in large portions, especially the starters (love the nachos) Some might find the menu a little pricey for the area but the quality of food and service make it 100% worth it. One of the best restaurants in the area

Our very first visit here was a delight. We opted for the Mexican dishes that are available and they tasted really nice. Well presented and very filling. The host and her husband ( the chef) made us feel very welcome. The diner itself is loaded with 50’s and 60’s memorabilia to look at plus the jukebox was a real stunner. Thank you for making our very first visit so memorable. We will be back for more, for sure.

Visited for the first time for breakfast and wasn't disappointed. Plenty of gluten-free options - I opted for the pancakes with syrups which were delicious (and a massive portion which I couldn't finish!). My boyfriend also really enjoyed his breakfast so we'll definitely be visiting again!

Food is my hobbie and passion and when you visit this family run local business your dealt with the best customer service I have received when eating out in the fens.

Dropped in for a hotdog and a beer on a sunny afternoon. Very pleasant! My hot dog had pulled pork topping, which was really tasty. Personally I feel the menu is a bit steep, for the style of good they do. But for the occasional treat, I can just shout justify it.

OK but a bit pricey for the quality (also no kids with us to eat free) no parking and not a choice of diet drinks

A spontaneous Saturday evening takeaway delivered at the time they said. If you are a pizza buff forget the chain companies these are first class perfection. Fries’ sweet potato fries, chilli and double dog all great too. Highly recommend this establishment and food Thanks

We went to Shooters for the first time last night as we were looking to eat locally. Two of us had steaks that were perfectly cooked, 2 had burgers with all the trimmings and another had one of the fabulous looking Hot dogs. Rounded off with a dessert each, and with drinks very reasonably priced for around £20 per head.

Good choice on menu, lovely food and service, will be returning there in the future, only negative is a little over priced.

The quality of food in the Fenlands is sometimes not very good but this place is amazing. The lady serving us was very helpful and friendly and if something went wrong (which is sometimes unavoidable) she was very quick to help and rectify it. I’m also very fussy about eating out because of a lot of places don’t practice good hygiene, especially in this area, but this exceeded my sometimes impossible standards so I don’t know what some people are talking about by saying it’s not clean. Definitely would visit again. The prices are also reasonable for the quality of food served.

They are trying hard to re-create an American diner in rural England, but due to their own success, they need a larger place! Friendly staff make you feel at home and in typical "American" fashion, nothing is too much trouble.

We visited Shooters for the first time this evening - having heard good things from friends about it. We were taking my son's girlfriend out for a birthday treat and decided to try Shooters. My son has ASD and so tends to get rather over-anxious in new places and especially in restaurants, so we were delighted when he was able to choose where we sat. I had The Dog, my husband and son had burgers and my son's girlfriend had the Shooters Mac & Cheese. The food was lovely and the portions very generous - we couldn't finish! The staff were friendly and helpful and the service was prompt. Many thanks to all.

We went to this restaurant after reading some reviews on trip advisor and it was great. The food was excellent, the staff were very friendly and the prices were very reasonable. I'll definitely be visiting again if I'm in the area.

We come March once or twice a year to see family. It’s full of pub grub and Weatherspoons type stuff...Shooters is a fabulous breath of fresh air. The homemade burgers were delicious, the shakes heavenly and the completely OTT Sundaes were garishly great. The decor is perfect cheesy Americana and the staff super friendly.

Second time, again for one of my boys Birthday treat. Clean, neatly laid out, great old diner feel with classic old rock & pop tunes off the jukebox. Lovely food, a bit pricey off the adult menu, but as the boys ate for free it is really very reasonable for a family!

Took my Brother and his wife and baby for breakfast here when they visited for weekend over Easter. Food was very nice and particularly good value with a great varied menu to choose from. Staff were friendly and welcoming, especially with a baby in our group. Overall was an excellent visit.

We went to Shooters to celebrate a friend's birthday. It was our first visit, and we weren't disappointed! You get a very warm welcome from the staff/owners of the diner, I loved the themed decor, very tastefully done. The rock n roll music was fab! The burger choice is fantastic as is the taste of the burgers! All food and drink is reasonably priced and we all said we would go back some time soon!

Four of us went for dinner after party in the park and we had a lovely meal, cooked perfectly and the staff were very friendly and attentive. Best of all it is NUT FREE! See you again soon :-)

They appear happy to serve me a burnt burger, that was clearly charcoal, but the "chef" was apparently ok to serve crap like that, and a taste less veggie burger. However, does have a great atmosphere if you are happy with constantly screaming kids. Also the owner screwed her face up when asked for the bill. Will not return and recommend others not to. Very disappointed!!

Dropped in with my children on a Thursday evening as they wanted to try out an American style Diner. I went in open minded and came out so charmed by the experience that we went back the following evening with extended family. On both occasions we were given a lovely warm welcome the minute we walked through the door. The friendly young waitresses are a real asset to the business. The owners chatted to us about how they source and cook the food - and clearly have a real passion for their cuisine and the experience they want to create for their customers. Loved that you can choose a large bowl of salad to replace chips and the beef in the burgers is superb. All beautifully presented. Delightful experience on both occasions and look forward to our next meal here. Definitely recommend.

Burgers, steaks, ribs, shakes, enormous hot dogs... It's that type of place. Kitted out like a trad American diner, it's perfect for family birthdays and whatnot. If you want a pan-seared leg of pheasant drizzled with blackcurrant coulis you're probably better off going elsewhere.

What a fabulous place! My son booked this for our get together, as he and his family have been a number of times before and really enjoy it. The food was amazing - delicious burgers; juicy, with plenty of different topping to choose from. Fabulous fries - PROPER fries too! But the salted caramel milkshake was outstanding - absolutely gorgeous.

Eaten here quite a few times, alway great fun with good quality burgers and shakes. Banana shake with rum is a winner, ribs are really tender and full of flavour.

Came to Shooters when it first opened with a friend and loved it! The milkshakes are amazing! I had a hot-dog which was lovely and was encouraged to try their mustard ( I don't usually like mustard but it was nice). The staff were friendly and I was surprised by how quick the food came. Overall good experience! I don't usually eat out a lot so the second time I went to Shooters was for my birthday meal!

We booked shooters because of the excellent reviews. We had booked it as a Bon Voyage trip for our daughter. We were staying in March so booked in.

Just tried the new vegan burger at Shooters and I love it! Shooters provides many vegan options and substitutions for any dietary requirements and the staff are lovely and attentive, thank you!

just returned from my first visit to Shooters, went with my son for his Birthday, great friendly place ended up having a laugh with other diners, staff were lovely, owner even better, food was perfect thank you, will deffnately become a regular.

Visited today with my boyfriend around 3pm. We were greeted by a very friendly and attentive woman who we believe to be the owner. She was extremely polite and helpful and seemed very genuine. We ordered the chilli dog and mac and cheese and we were both very satisfied. Mac and cheese was amazing - very light unlike a lot of mac and cheeses I’ve tasted. The size was generous (I couldn’t eat it all hahah). Service was quicker than I expected and the waiter and waitress were friendly. Loved the interior too and will definitely be back. Left a well deserved tip - thank you for the excellent service and see you in the new year if not before!

Myself and my wife visited here for a change hoping for some great American dishes. Was a bit disappointed with the restaurant when we first arrived but looked past the some what cafe style. A lot of hard work has gone into making it look like an American diner but still needs lots done and I am sure in time it will be.

We came across Shooter's a couple of months ago. And so happy we did .Its a lovely family run diner very clean .Claire and Dan do a fantastic job working very hard to make this diner a great success. The food is always cooked to order but man its worth the wait.The burgers are the best around Fenland and the cheesecake out of this world and good news for family's kids meals are free ( not sure what age up too ) If your planing on going in the evening whould recommend booking a table .Your be mad to miss this place if your looking for home made American style food.

I would highly recommend this diner. I saw various groups, families with small children, mums and daughters, young adults,couples all enjoying the same warm welcome from the staff, who could not do enough to cater for your every request. My food was delicious and adjusted to suit my preference. It was prepared promptly and delivered to my table in good time, making it a good place for a quick treat after work or a longer experience catching up with friends or family. I have been before when it has been quite busy so best to book.

Arrived there and it was freezing cold so had to leave coats on.

Had nachos to start and then a ultimate burger which was massive, my other half had mac and cheese which she said was nice but could not eat it all as portion was very large. Would of liked a few more options on the beer front that's the only reason I did not give 5

Went to Shooters today for the very first time, we thought the decor was pretty awesome! Great tunes from the juke box, and such friendly service! The list of burgers on the menu were immense! We both ordered a burger each which looked and tasted amazing! Not to mention the delicious fries and milkshakes we had along side! We will definitely be returning! And I would thoroughly recommend Shooters for all the family!!! Keep up the good work guys!

I think we have became regular at this restaurant.Great service and great food I hadn't tasted a burger like shooters make since I left the USA in 2004.cheesecake is homemade and wonderful love the Orange one.And the sundaes are yummy .Milkshakes are good but I tend to like them very thick.Service is very very good thank you we needed a good place to come to in March instead of the usual chain restaurant.Hope your restaurant continues to flourish.

Really reasonably priced burgers and like food with very friendly service. Is exactly as you would expect from a diner but value that means you can afford to go regularly. Really recommend

The food that we had was really tasty and filling. I would recommend the salted caramel milkshake, it was very addictive. The jukebox was constantly playing great tunes. The owners were friendly and helpful. We will be going back again.

Had a tuna BBQ cheese melt .not nice the toasted roll was very wet and soggy on the bottom.the salsa salad was nice.but did not enjoy meal.will not be visiting again.but staff. Friendly.juke box to loud

Went here when it first opened. Just two of us, it was breakfast time. Two people in the cafe. We was turned away. They said they were fully booked. I said we wouldn't be long, they said definitely no. Didn't return and won't be returning, what I here we didn't miss much. If this was was my new business I would done everything to accomodate

I have been here a few times now and eaten various things. Everything has been delicious and all the staff are very friendly! My favourite thing is the pancakes! I like the music it is conducive to a fun atmosphere.
