Natural Bake in Castle Point

Popped in on a Friday with a friend and our young children. The member of staff was very welcoming and couldn't have been more hospitable. The food was really tasty, we had the breakfast and soup. We'll definitely return.

Popped in on a Friday morning food was delicious served hot and delivered quickly. Very nicely decorated.

Interior is decorated beautifully, love the wallpaper in the loo’s, staff are friendly, food was tasty especially the toasted fruit loaf, lots of types of tea

Arrived at about 11.50am, lots of empty tables, saw one with a reserve label, but before I could sit I was asked if I had booked and was told there were no tables other than a two seater right in front of the counter. I left and went across the road to another cafe. I do not expect a "Cafe" to be fully booked at lunchtime, perhaps they should change their remit to a restaurant where you would expect and accept bookings but not in a "Cafe". I will not bother going again.

1st time here with a friend this morning and it was wonderful. A lady let us know it might be a bit of a wait for food which was fine as in no rush and I ordered the smashed avocado on sour dough toast with roasted tomatoes and I added a couple of poached eggs. Would have preferred eggs a bit more runny but they were nice enough. Really nice atmosphere, great tasting food, excellent friendly service and I've already messaged some friends to go for lunch in a few weeks time. Many thanks.

Very expensive for the amount you get. I had 10 chips on my plate, had to ask for extra costing nearly £4.00 . Staff nice but expect small portions

Took my wife and daughter for a birthday breakfast and had a excellent meal. Food was all fresh with plenty of it. Well worth a visit, nice atmosphere. Would recommend.

Had an eggs Benedict for breakfast! I have never tasted anything like it!!! My daughter had a wrap and the coleslaw was amazing! Would definitely recommend, staff a lovely and food it out amazing!!! Beautiful place, chilled and friendly

The decor and atmosphere is pleasant. Food was very nice. The waitress forgot to give us a napkin each. Had we been given salad or coleslaw then cutlery was not provided. They were busy to give the ladies credit for working hard

Went for a breakfast with a friend. Super clean, very friendly, and THE BEST full English breakfast! So tasty, even had sourdough as an option for toast! Thoroughly recommend! ps, AND the toilets were spotless!!

We have just enjoyed a lovely family meal at Natural Bake, the roast dinner was wonderful and front of house Donna was very helpful and friendly. Great job we’ll definitely be back ❤️

I’m a regular visitor to Natural Bake and the food is always consistently of a high standard, fresh and with good natural produce and ingredients. My personal favourite for lunch is the homemade coronation chicken sandwich, always tasty, succulent and flavoursome. I love their hand cut chips too - try them with mayonnaise - yum. They have daily specials which are always worth a look. Yesterday, I shared a cheese and bacon burger and a salt beef bagel with my wife - both were delicious. As others have said, a real gem of a place. I’ll definitely keep coming back for more.

Walked passed and caught the sign in window for dairy free and vegan options. Really impressed with first their COVID setup, very thorough with the screen dividers and menus covered under a plastic sheet on table was clever. Food was great and lots to choose from dairy free and gluten free options including almond milk for tea and coffee. Friendly staff and good service - waitress even popped a glass of water over for wife when she was breastfeeding. Would definitely return again.

Top Roast Dinner , refreshing to find real roast potatoes ( not aunt Bessie’s) like most Sunday carver, beef was cooked to perfection, expertly carved and vegetables fresh , real gravy . Hidden gem !!!

I’ve been here a few times and know at lunch time this place can take 20mins to get an order out, we ordered pie and mash and a omelet, well after 50minutes we went up to see where our food was, then 5minutes later it turned up the omelet looked dry and was exactly that, the pie and mash looked like it been reheated a few times, to be honest I should of sent the food back and asked for a refund, the food in this places normally isn’t to bad but for a small place they struggle with lunch time service, to the point the lady said that they was empty this morning then went on to moan about how busy it was, strange to think you would want your place full of custom!!! Was offered a drink but to be honest it was passed a Diet Coke and cuppa tea!! Won’t return wasted an hr of my life in this place. And other people that came in after us got there food first. Poor service and food.

Although the Staff are Very pleasant, the food isn't. First visit was good and it was for breakfast, but no cream for my coffee. Second visit for lunch with friend. My quiche was warmed up and the pastry was soooo hard. My friend's parma ham, goats cheese and rocket was laughable. Third visit, hand cut chips were NOT, they were warmed up and looked like frozen and my omelette was sent back twice. Cooked on top and quite brown, but runny inside and bacon in it, although I asked for cheese tomatoe and onion, second omelette hardly cooked, third omelette.... Well, I had gone off the idea as my friend had eaten her meal. She had a jacket potatoe which had been cooked previously and warmed up. So, in all a bad visit. Not going there again. No offer of a refund for all the mess up. Paid the full price for the lunch and VERY disappointed.

You are greeted by a friendly knowledgeable waiter ,helpful explaining the choices be they gluten free or regular, veggie, very nice cardoman chi fresh bread and quality ingredients scrambled eggs with avocado is excellent. the service was efficient excellent food enjoyable each time we have visited.a friend ly delightful place and right by the bus stop for easy transportation

Not, nor ever, a bad word for Natural bake. Almost home from home as the little one loves their milkshake and they go off menu and out their way to make a small one for him :). Staff are ultra friendly and it's lovely to have this in Hadleigh.

We popped into Natural Bake wanting somewhere for coffee. It was warm and inviting on a blustery Autumn day.

Me & My Husband have just returned from having the Sunday Carvery for the first time, everything about the meal was excellent as always, well done to the team at Natural Bake, keep up the good work. We will be back again soon without a doubt.

This will always be my first choice for a lunch .. I'm gf so they are brill with diet needs ... I love sweet chilli chicken .. Great staff everyone is helpful and polite ... They need to expand in other areas ..

Really lovely lunch. I have a special dietary requirement and the lady at the till had selected a choice which was not suitable for me (the next button along on the iPad) the chef noticed and came to query it with me. Thank you. Great meal and drinks in very clean surroundings.

Visited Natural Bake based on the excellent Trip Advisor reviews. but was left feeling very disappointed.

Been here many of times on my day off with my toddler and mother in law and every time we are welcomed and have enjoyed the food and friendliness of the place. I feel the little things in life are so important and the staff have been so friendly and helpful especially with my 18 month old on every visit. Best scrambled eggs I’ve tasted and love the selection of cakes and couldn’t recommend enough, will be back soon no doubt.

Was looking forward to eating here esp after reading positive reviews - sat down and waited to be served after 10 mins I went up to be told you have to order from bar - order the special sandwich to be told that Wasn’t available - the milkshake was just milk and flavouring most places add ice cream so disappointed - staff didn’t really know what they were doing - child’s sandwich £3 for half sandwich, tiny slice of ham and water - no breakfast after 12 so found menu quiet limited then - just overall disappointed so doubtful to return

Had been before and although a bit pricey the food was good. Ordered what I wanted for my breakfast to be told they could only do the set menu breakfast. I pointed out that all the extras could be put substituted for the items I didn't require. They said I had to order that on top of my breakfast and it came to over £11! I only wanted bacon eggs tomatoes and sour dough toast! Ps no sourdough that day.

I regularly come here for coffee and some food. This time was for breakfast with my parents and my 5 month old son. The staff are really friendly and it's good value for money for what you get. All cooked really nicely and fresh. I didn't realise how many choices for breakfast they had till today. I recommend Natural Bake to anyone who wants a yummy breakfast, lunch or coffee and cake. First visit today. Had the sausage and egg in a sourdough roll and I can honestly say it was gorgeous. Cup of tea and a slice of cake and a baby chino, all came in at under a tenner. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff, we will definitely visit again. The only criticism is that kid's heels hammering against the underside of the booths makes a racket - perhaps something could be added to deaden the noise a bit. I think I noticed a couple moving because of the noise a pair of kids were making but that's the only negative to make, the food was great.

They really try to get it spot on here, being gluten free and going with a dairy free friend. Lovely meal and when I mentioned that my coffee was a bit cool they changed it straight away. I am going back with a friend that can’t have meat;cooked veg and dairy so we shall test their skills.

Cafe prides itself on excellent produce. Their sausages are 100% meat and I can recommend their breakfasts.

I booked a table for 10 for me and my Swim friends. Nice varied lunch menu, many sandwiches but also omelettes and homemade quiche and nice vegetarian options all seemed to be served with nice side salad. All freshly made. What was a nice surprise is you can get a glass (or bottle) of wine, beer as well as tea coffee etc. This is my 4th visit and ranging from breakfast and lunch. All food been nice and tasty. Staff friendly but professional and don’t keep bothering you.

Whenever my wife and i are off on a weekday or Saturday we call in. My favorite dish is the eggs benedict, served on sour dough.

i have visited Natural Bake a few times with family, each time the quality of the food has been excellent, the staff are really friendly and helpful, they have also just got their licence to serve alcohol, I was the very first person to order a glass of red wine with my lunch, so thumbs up, keep up the good work.

Had a family lunch here , place is nicely decorated and inviting .Had heard some good reviews about the food . Tried a Blt in Sourdough roll advertised as toasted but wasn't . Asked why it wasn't toasted as per the menu and the young girl said you have to request it ! They seemed all in a fluster with not even a fifth of the place occupied , didn't continue with the ' toast gate' .

We have eaten here several times as live locally. Sandwiches made with freshly baked bread which is always soft and fluffy. Hot chocolate and smoothies delicious.

I visited the Leigh shop. Fabulous view and great food. Really think this place will do well. Very friendly waitress. Lovely clean toilets. All freshly decorated inside and garden being developed.

I've been here so many times with my baby son and family. They are always welcoming, great table and plenty of space to get high chair next to our table. Service is great and lovely lunch time menu and good value for money. Can't fault this place.

I've been here a couple of times for lunch (both times with my youngest - he's 3). The menu is simple but there is lots of choice and on both visits I've had lovely food that's fresh and yummy! They make great healthy fruit drinks and smoothies and my little boy loved his milkshake treat! The staff are always very friendly and helpful and I would recommend it here.

I couldnt find where to write a review on their new shop in Leigh but as they are the same owners i dont think they'll mind me writing on this page instead! I came with my husband for lunch and we both had the same - soya cappucinos and vegan pulled pork on toasted sourdough. It was really tasty, the shop itself look really fresh and bright amd the staff were helpful, friendly and chatty. We only live down the road so im sure this will be our new local!

Stumbled across this lovely little coffee shop and was glad we did. They offer gluten free freshly baked sandwiches, rolls and baguettes and the vegan chocolate cake was a lovely treat. Staff were very helpful and the décor is simple but very clean. Would definitely return and cant recommend it enough!

We went in for lunch - they have daily specials - we had the vegan burger and the turkey burger, and the green superfood smoothies. They come with specially baked bread that they get from a french baker nearby. The food and smoothies were delicious and very affordable, the atmosphere great and the staff really friendly. This is now my favorite restaurant in the whole of the Southend area.

This little cafe is getting so popular I want to write "it's horrible, the food is rubbish, the staff are awful, don't visit" but I would be lying. The staff are lovely - they are really accommodating and the food is excellent - and really good value. Sometimes it gets really busy and because they make the most of the space, it can feel a bit chaotic but that's a sign of how good it is. Having been a very regular visitor now for some months I can honestly say I can't fault the food or the service - I just wish everyone else didn't like it so much too!!

I found this gem in the high st Hadleigh has had a number of cafe/coffee shops over the years but none as good as Natural Bake, freshly made cakes plus the new fashionable gluten and vegan aligns all catered for with care and a lot of passion,

I came here with my family after finding out they had some vegan options and was pleasantly surprised. The ambience in here is lovely, large, airy and the decor is lovely. It's nice a nice place to relax on your own or with company.

Visited here yesterday (about the 4th time I've visited). Atrocious customer service, the girl who served us behind the till was ridiculously rude to us! So abrupt & basically barking at us. They had hardly anything available on the menu as they'd sold out, but we weren't told this until we tried to order items from the food menu. Upon my 1st visit here, I thought it was a nice cafe, expensive but nice. Since then, every visit I've had has been terrible, progressingly getting worse. Just no need for rudeness!

Visited Natural Bake on a Saturday Evening. The food was really fresh and excellent quality. I had the vegetarian platter and that was really tasty. My husband had the vegetarian Wellington which again was very tasty and excellent quality. We took our own wine and finished off the meal with a lovely pudding. The menu caters for meat eaters and vegetarians and price wise very good. The staff were very helpful and the atmosphere is very relaxed. Well worth the visit!

Driven by this place many times and didn't know it was there because of the bus stop outside. Found it today. Wow !. Really nice and quirky interior. The food was excellent, the bubble, bacon, egg, mushroom option was delicious. What makes this place 5 stars is the service from the staff. Very attentive and friendly.

A little gem located on the one way system in Hadleigh. Modern fresh interior very relaxing. Service was impeccable. Take a seat browse the menu of which there are many choice along with the chalk board specials then note table number place order and then sit back and wait. Service was very quick drinks arrived quickly and our food followed within 7 mins. My friend opted for the tuna mayonnaise baked potato I had the fresh bubble squeak fried egg bacon and granary toast which was delicious. As we sat and chatted we then had a green tea and latte accompanied by the homemade bake we'll slice. Presentation of both mains and our tea and cake are worthy of a mention. It's certainly a little gem of a place that we will definitely be returning to again.

Visited here by chance with my mum for lunch today. We stopped in as we had to kill some time and I'm glad we did. We ordered the special turkey burger and it didn't disappoint. The waitress was welcoming and service was top notch. Will definitely be goin back next time in hadleigh

On Monday I decided to go to natural bake for the first time l, In which I ordered a burger which I found very delightful as the staff were very friendly and the food was amazing.

My wife, her firend and I went down went down last Sunday ,this was our first time in the business , and we have to say, extremely impressed – WHY DIDN’T WE GO SOONER!!! There isn't a decent Café in Hadleigh and i'm glad we have FINALLY FOUND ONE! Staff were really polite and healthful and the food was spot on! My wife had the full English me and her friend had the Baguette with choice of fillings, it was perfect and really good value for money – good size portions! Will be going again!

Often pop in for a coffee or one of their bottled soft drinks. More often than not tempted by one of the their tasty cakes. Always great service from very friendly staff.

Am sitting in this cafe as I write this am that angry....Not sure where all the good reviews come from these people must be loaded to give 5 stars.. 7 quid. ..Yes I'll repeat 7 quid for a bit of bubble one slice of bacon an egg and a cup of tea.....Not even a pot of tea....outrageously expensive for a little cafe trying to be something it's not... so they make cakes on the premises big deal...others do that and are still reasonably priced couldn't even have a jacket potato as they don't bring them out til noon....plus for these prices it should be waitress service but it's not.....unfriendly staff...miniscule amounts of sauce and not enough milk for my tea....mean ....so yeah eat here if you've got money to burn.

This little cafe has become our regular haunt on a Saturday morning. The food is always fresh and tasty. The staff are always very friendly the service is great. The breakfasts are particularly enjoyed by my husband and daughter. Always recommend to friends as the place to be.

Went there with my family and the service was fantastic, instantly I was hit with the friendly atmosphere as the waiter smiled at me as I took my seat. Quick service as I went up to the counter and nobody was pushy - There is free wifi and the food was ready very quickly. The menu is broad and the food and drinks are indeed natural and very authentic, this was evident as everyone (even the kids) had clear plates! Much recommended if you are in the area and looking for a bite to eat.

Today was the first time me and my sister went to this lovely little cafe and wont be the last from the feel of the place, to the friendly staff and service, to the very yummy food!! Everything was great especially the peanut butter and banana milkshake. Great value for money good quality food and drinks, all round great place to grab a bite :D

Popped and had a lovely ham and pickle sandwich and tea. No complaints about food or service both first class. Smoothie machine was really loud which might be off putting if trying to have a chat x

Went for lunch on a Saturday on the off chance of getting a seat,not clear at first if it was waitress service,but quite simple-take your table number to the counter and place your order & pay, yummy sandwiches with delicious bread, not sure if this was baked on the premises, and cappuccino, not bad at £14.00 for 2. Breakfasts also served all day.

Really great atmosphere comfortable dining. For was real excellent and very healthy options s real modern and contemporary dining, highly recommend.

Having found this little gem I've returned several times. The staff are always really friendly and make you feel welcome. I would happily take all members of my family here - there is easy buggy access and the booth style seating secires you some privacy.

I went for lunch today with my dad and both of us were really pleased with our food. We had baguettes (which were huge but delicious). The place is clean, rustic and has a nice atmosphere. The staff are friendly without being over-bearing. A definite must for a visit.

Popped in on a Wednesday lunchtime with my wife, glad we did. Simple menu, good food,sandwiches, rolls, baguettes etc.Brand new premises nicely done, open seating at the front and booths towards the back. Although they do breakfast we noted they open at 9 am, as they close at 5 pm latest I think 9 is too late for many people to have breakfast especially if working. However, I think the owners have got something right here, it's definitely better than a "cafe" or sandwich bar, food is fresh and wholesome,and very very reasonably priced. This is a new cafe opened just before Christmas. Went this week for the first time. Everything is on a natural theme, as the name implies. Not a huge menu, but the food is very good and fresh. Unusual milkshakes - I had peanut butter and banana! Excellent service and very friendly staff. Would definitely recommend.
