Very good food and staff really friendly

We went today, not planned. We ordered milkshakes as was warm and we just fancied milkshake. The little restaurant was very clean and staff very friendly and polite. We asked to look at the food menu. We wasn't hungry. But the smell of food smelt lush & we over heard that they do cheese on toast and we deffo be back.

We visited Sunday morning. We had not been since the move/refit. It is very nice, the food was excellent, we both had the Turkish Breakfast. Service was very good. The staff were friendly, polite and happy. The restaurant is clean & tidy. An excellent mid morning meal, we will definitely go again and will also be trying the evening meals.

Really nice place to eat. Decent prices and a great variety on the menu. Good was great.

Lovely local cafe with great food and drinks. If you have a sweet tooth you’ve got to try the milkshakes. Alison served us and she was very attentive, friendly and helpful.

My running mates and me have found this gem of a place.The sunlight streamed in thru the windows.Great mixed cuisine , some Turkish and some English. I had the haddock Eggs Benedict. Also a little bun to start. We often run along the front and this is a great post run food stop.

New Yemek is great worth visiting

This is my second time visiting, after the first time was so lovely I brought my friends back for lunch. All I can say is what a superb lunch. I did want the smoked haddock breakfast but unfortunately they had run out so I changed to the sourdough breakfast this did not disappoint was very fresh and tasty. All the staff are friendly and welcoming even though they was very busy with their duties. Especially a young tall lady which her smile is infectious and her manners were impeccable she is a credit to the team. I don’t usually write reviews but this was worth the write. Thank you again. We will be back!

Great cafe - always friendly, tasty food and a good choice for kids to eat too. My boys love coming here for lunch and often request it!

Really lovely staff, was greeted by a lovely lady who was happy, kind, professional and friendly. Orders were taken and served promptly. Food was delicious, hot, cooked perfectly and reasonably priced. Drinks were lovely. Toilet is clean and tidy. Love the new premises and decor. Only thing I would say is that a baby changing facility in the bathroom would be a needed addition for those who have younger ones. Overall an excellent experience as we always have had at Cafe Yemek.

Delicious food! Absolutely rammed but they managed to fit us in after a short wait. The Turkish Breakfast was amazing.

Came for some breakfast with my husband and children. 4 empty plates, food was delicious, such great choices. My children loved their meals and were eyeing up the milkshakes for their next visit.Staff were really lovely too. Will be visiting a lot more in the future!! Thank you!

We visited the new premises on Saturday, I’m not sure if it was a particularly busy day but I ordered the haddock breakfast dish and was told 30 minutes later they didn’t have it, I ordered another dish but it was a really long wait, by then we’d finished our drinks that came up just after we first ordered - not sure if taken on too much with the bigger premises as really enjoyed every meal at the smaller venue in rectory road, no complaints regarding the food, just the wait for it

Popped in on Saturday for Breakfast and had high hopes - these quickly faded it was freezing cold in there and some people even sat with their coats on. We ordered the Large breakfast but when it came i was missing an egg (the one i had was over cooked) , tomatoes, the bacon was cold and the toast was completely burnt - when questioned they offered to get me the egg that was missing and they changed the toast to what can only be described as hot bread. We told the waitress of the issues and she said she was inform the kitchen but no goodwill was offered. we waited so long for the breakfasts that we had to order another hot drinks. also for what we had i thought it was pretty expensive i will return to my local "Wakey Wakey Cafe" for a great breakfast at reasonable prices

Me and my son visited the newly opened yemek, we had a lovely meal, it was very busy but we took that into account when we sat down, drinks soon followed and a small wait for food as the restaurant was full. My son demolished his adult meal of omelette and chips and I really enjoyed my full English

Sadly the issues we experienced when we visited cafe Yemek at its old cafe have not improved since they have moved to their new position on the corner of Rectory Road. Our drinks were served promptly, then we waited and waited and waited for our breakfasts to be served. Tables that came in after us were served their food before us, although their orders were bigger and more complex than ours. We asked 2 different waitresses on 2 different occasions where our food was, to be told by both of them it’s on its way, when we pointed out to one of them other tables that came in after us had got their food 1st her response was’im only the waitress’. When our food finally arrived it was very average, one of the eggs was undercooked and the mushrooms were swimming in grease, when we complained nothing was done to resolve these issues, when our bill arrived we were charged fully, even though we had made several complaints there was no good will gesture, The food is expensive for the quality and service. Note to who we believe was the owner-stop hiding behind the counter and in the kitchen and come out and deal with these issues as they are raised instead of leaving your very nice staff to deal with the complaints. Whilst we were waiting for our food we noticed at least 4 other tables complain about their wait and food when it arrived, the owner did absolutely nothing to resolve these issues, Sorry cafe Yemek, the new premises looks great, shame you have brought the same old issues with you

Been here many times very good prices and decent quality food, lot of different types of food to choose from, however I would say from experience I wouldn't get the fish & chips here as nice as it tastes but on a few occasions me / my family tried to order it after tasting it first time round and they didn't have any (I suppose it's not a chippy & not many people go for that here) so something like that I'll go to a chippy - everything else is spot on !

Went in an had scrambled egg, beans and bacon (less food than the full English) and a coffee. The eggs were dry everything else was nice. When I went to pay the bill £18.95?? The full English was £11… I queried this to be told eggs are £3 per egg!! Just make sure to check prices before.

I love the full English breakfast, especially the sausage. Always polite and quick service.

I take my grandchildren every Saturday for breakfast and they love it very friendly always .

Very friendly family restaurant. The food was excellent. We all enjoyed it and it was well cooked and tasty. Our Grandson Finley, who is only 2 made short work of his dinner. Yemek has a relaxed, laid back atmosphere and you are not constantly hassled by staff. I would recommend a visit.

Out shopping with a friend and spotted Yemek, no menu in the window - well there was but we couldn’t read it through the plastic cover.. Decided to give it a try. Good menu. We were busy so just opted for BLT sandwiches, one on whole grain, one on white. Very nicely presented, see pic, nice unsmoked bacon, a little salad on the side. We were very happy. Very nice clean toilets, which is always a good sign. wheelchair access but didn’t see a disabled loo. Local parking but not outside. Friendly staff. Will I go back? Yes, menu has some nice desserts! Do I recommend? Yes

We have been here several times now for breakfast and the service and food is fantastic. We take our 91 year old mother as they will cook as little as she wants to eat, this week she had 1 egg and 1 bacon on toast and finished everything on the plate which is amazing. Thank you all, keep up the good work, can't recommend this place enough

This is a fantastic little cafe in the middle of Hadleigh. The girls were so friendly and polite. I had an omelette with cheese, onion, and Turkish sausage, it was lovely! I'd never had Turkish sausage before, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. We will definitely be returning, and I recommend anyone out and about in Hadleigh wanting a bite to eat to give Cafe Yemek a try, you won't be disappointed!

Absolutely rubbish, went for brunch ordered two very simple sandwiches off the menu. Got our coffee as ordered, then noticed that 4 tables that arrived after us had been served & with more complex orders. So after 35 minutes we decided to leave without any food being delivered.

Hearty breakfast. My son and partner had a full English the quality of yhr ingredients is high and all was cooked to perfection. I had pooched eggs, avacodk sourdough toast and it was the best brunch and meal out I've eaten in a long while. Superb!

Visited cafe yemek on Monday 5th June 2023. We were greeted with a warm and friendly welcome. Service was excellent. Food was amazing- the best breakfasts we’ve had in a long time! Would highly recommend visiting if you haven’t. Can’t wait to go back 😊

Cheese salad sandwich bread was like a 'doorstep' and was not fresh. Thick crusts were left on. Side salad was cheap iceberg with half a slice of tomato. Poor show! Waitress had an indifferent attitude. She should smile at customers and make them feel welcome. We pay her wages! I won't go there again.

The wonderful staff ensure this is a regular return visit. The food is great, not expensive both good value and very well prepared.

Full English breakfast , quick service, reasonable prices

I was recommended to go here from a shop owner in Hadleigh. I had to move my table and was rewarded with fingers full of stickiness from around the back of the legs ☹️ most of the diners had menus in front of them when I arrived, and looked like they had been waiting a while to order. The table opposite me had finished their meal and their plates were still in front of them for about 25mins before being cleared. There was no butter on my sandwich, the chips I ordered were missed off my order but came quickly enough when I bought it up. The tuna mayo sandwich was ok, but the side salad was minimal. The menus were damp, smelly and sticky ☹️ that was the worse. Service was friendly and helpful but it wasn't enough to make me go back. Sorry I don't like giving bad reviews but hopefully you might find this helpful.

Service was a bit slow, not busy, late February lunchtimes. Quality was OK but did think prices to be bit on the high side for the two paninis we had.

had big full english breakfast sausages tasteless 2 small pieces of bacon eggs over done bread was not fresh when i was told we were going to Turkish cafe i thought great every Turkish cafe i have ever been in london allways male cooks. food is great they want you to come back maybe the female cook is just employed and dont give a s....t i might go back but not for breakfast

Tried it for the first time after a few visitors failed due to their previous opening times. The cafe was cold and we was all sat wearing scarfs or coats. The cutlery was grubby and the menu was too! Coffee was nice and would have a drink again but the food was under cooked and took its time coming out the kitchen. Staff were a little abrupt i over heard her answering a customer quite bluntly. Wouldn’t rush back it’s over priced for the experience and quality / cleanliness

So my girlfriend and I decided to go and have lunch at yemek like we do every now and again, as we sat down we ordered our drinks, the drinks came then they took our food order, after our order was taken 2 other tables came and sat down and got their food before us, a full 45 mins went by so we gave up and decided we were not going to wait anymore as we had somewhere to be, as it turns out the kitchen never received our order and as we approached the till to just pay for the drinks they tried to charge us for the food and as we told them we never got our food they looked completely confused and no offer to try and make it right for us no offer of compensation for wasting our time completely atrocious customer service will not be returning will find a new place to have our lunch dates very very disappointed!

Used my local yemek for a few years. Will have to look for alternative now,£8.40 for small cappuccino & bacon sandwitch is a lot out of my pension.

Yemek was a favourite with my wife's late step-father, so it seemed fitting that while we were in Essex clearing his flat, we should go there for lunch. I had the chicken shish and my wife had liver and bacon (which was also one of her step-father's favourites). And I washed mine down with a bottle of Effes. All was very nice indeed and good sized portions. We had intended to finish with Baklava, but we were both too full!

Make sure you put extra time on parking Slowest service every had in a cafe Wasn't even that busy.. Ordered more drinks as a panini took ages and they forgot. Just stood behind counter. Had to ask for a second time. Will not visit again

Always good😁 great food, good service. Popular at the weekends, can be a little busy. I can recommend the 'Yemek ice cream' 🍨 delicious 👍

Had undercooked eggs on one visit which isn’t a problem as this does happen sometimes, but went back and got a takeaway, my sausage roll tasted of mackerel they must of, they cross contaminated my food and didn’t seem that bothered, it’s a shame cos they use decent food but I would not eat there again

Bit expensive for a breakfast but food and service is good...

Waitress did not ask me which bread I wanted or whether I wanted it toasted or not, she just brought me a buttered white slice, you don't even know if I eat butter or not but you just butter my bread, i asked them to take it back and bring me another slice of brown bread and still brought it buttered and still not toasted, i did not want to look as if am a troublemaker as i could see people at the next tables looking at me but i just kept my eyes on my plate. As a person of colour i felt like it was done deliberately.

Just had a lovely lunch at Yemek, Hadleigh. Delicious food, generous portions and well cooked. The waitress was friendly and accommodating, the decor pleasant and inviting. Overall a good experience for my Mum's 89th birthday, will definitely be going back!

Just eaten here, meal was cold, and not very appetising. Didn't complain because didn't want to wait again for a fresh one. Mentioned it when paying bill but no offer of a discount. Expensive prices for what you get! Myhosh Lounge round the corner is much better ~ lovely food and a good lunchtime deal which is cheaper than this place. Gave two stars because the tea is nice, but won't be going back.

Came here for lunch with my son. He ordered a breakfast with hard eggs. I ordered 2 course set lunch which I checked was available for 1 person & it was. My starter of prawn cocktail & the drinks were delivered 15 minutes later however it took another hour for the main course-sea bass in spinach sauce & my son's breakfast which had to be returned as the eggs were runny (he had waited 75minutes for food). The sauce for the fish was just plain cream with no spinach in(I wouldn't have ordered it if I knew that). People who arrived after us were being served food before us & the waitress apologised 3 times for the wait & gave us further free hot drinks. On paying the chef said the sauce had changed & apparently was disinterested in my comments. I was charged the full amount but the waitress took the first drinks off the bill & even offered me free cans of drinks & a cake to take away which I declined. She was apologetic but the chef wasn't. I wasn't going to leave a review because I have been here before & it was good but my son left a review & they commented it was untrue-well I can assure you it wasn't!

Took 1 hour 15 mins for food to arrive and then fish dish wasnt as stated on the menu, breakfast didnt have tomato as stated and although we asked for hard eggs twice they were runny. Waitress was pleasant, chef didnt think there was any problem.

Second time we have been this year. Breakfast is gorgeous. Not greasy and its full of flavour. Lovely latte as well. Staff always friendly. Just wish it was a tiny bit warmer inside but certainly not cold enough to put us off returning.

Came in late morning after a nice long winter walk. Wanted something nibbly so had a Turkish cold mezze (£9.99) which we shared between the two of us and was delicious. Washed down with a winter coffee was just the pick-me-up we needed

We had lunch at Yemek in Hadleigh, the food was gorgeous, I had a chicken wrap it was the best wrap I've ever had, there were 3 of us & we all had lovely tasty food, the chef gets 5***** The service was excellent, the Staff were very polite & friendly. We will definitely be going back.

I came in recently, I love Turkish food and always go for the Turkish breakfast they have. Recently I Had food missing from my plate, and the chef seems very arrogant as hes constantly presses that bell over and over again, it’s not nice to hear a constant ringing when your enjoying your meal with your family. We can all hear the bell ring once so I’m pretty sure the waitresses can too, seems like he wants them to drop what there doing/who there with straight away. I find this very unprofessional and this isn’t the first or second time I have noticed this.

Busy but staff attentive and friendly. It impresses me when staff remember what your order is rather than having to ask. I had a Turkish breakfast which isn't usually my thing to be adventurous ( for me) but it was very nice and good value. Will look to go back when I'm next eating out for brunch in Hadleigh.

I used Yemek at westcliff (seafront) on Tuesday 7th of July with my wife for brunch. My wife had prawn sandwich with chips and salad the prawns were bursting out!! I had tempura prawns with salad and the food was delicious. The young lady that served us was polite and quick. It was a lovely atmosphere and I can’t wait to return and try something else from the menu.
