The best restaurants in East of England

We stumbled across this whilst staying at the local Haven. Food was delicious, reasonably priced and close to the haven site. Staff really friendly, would recommend.

Great food great friendly service and value for money

Very accommodating - we had originally booked for 2 but bumped into some family and were able to swap the tables around to cater for 5 of us. Burgers were great, hake was very tasty and the liver and bacon was OK. We mentioned some of the liver was inedible (chewy) and left a fair amount on the plate - without question this was removed from the bill. Very well dealt with and 5⭐ service. We will be back !!

We had walked from Cromer to Sheringham on he beach and back via coastal path found ourselves in east runton , what a great treat we found Sammys . The Sunday lunch was delicious, great service and dog friendly what’s not to like ! If you are in the area definitely worth a visit .

A good range of beers in an intimate pub. Very friendly.

First time here last night. Staff were brilliant, Drinks 🍸 and food. We decided on Mushrooms in tomato and garlic sauce and calamari delicious fresh hot Pitta bread. Nice size portion. We decided on mixed Fish kebab and rice with salad very nice portion. The Singer made the ambiance of the place. Many customers dancing 🕺 Cocktails were yummy and like Cinderella left just before midnight.

This was our first time trying various items on the menu (ribs, wings, chicken club, etc). It was a late afternoon, on a Saturday, and we didn’t order in advance (our fault), so we had to wait about an hour for our order. It was definitely worth the wait. It was delicious!!! Don’t let the exterior of the building fool you: it was a clean, well organized establishment.

Unfortunately I did not have a good experience. Ordered one of the stir fry and sadly got a plate of boiled frozen vegetables with water on the plate, not a spec of salt or pepper or minced garlic or any other spice for that matter that was described in the menu. I received a bland, boiled meat and vegetable plate. They forgot about my starter and received it well late, it was a soup which was amazing. Was very jealous of my husbands meal as he claimed there was nothing wrong with his.

First impressions were of a cafe that needs updating. A maze of rooms where everything is muddled with one worn-out sofa covered by scruffy dog blankets. The service was very different. Attentive, friendly, and efficient staff raise the mood completely.The food was basic but very good. Large breakfast portions. Coffee is included in the price and is great value for money.Free parking outside. Ignore the doom and gloom interior, and it's not a bad place to have breakfast

No food available. Only us in there (Saturday lunchtime), pretty cups but handles are so tiny they were hard to hold!

We have just been to sample the new afternoon menu. BRILLIANT can't wait to go again. It'll be even better when the weather improves and you can eat outside . Good sized nibbles in small dishes. Recommend you order all five, plenty for two to share. The chunky chips with sandwiches were heavenly.

We decided to have our wedding reception here and Emily was amazing from the very 1st time we spoke with her and all the way through to the big day Nothing was too much trouble we had a couple of people with dietary needs and these were catered for with ease Then the big day arrived where Emily's other half Richard took over with the cooking and omg he done us proud , feedback from all the guests was positive 100% Massive thank you to you both and your staff for making it happen

Excellent food and service from start to finish. This is very local to us, but still always a treat to go and enjoy. Regular specials in the menu and the coupon that own and run the restaurant are fabulous. Ingredients and standard of cooking is outstanding.
