P J S Fish & Chip Shop in Great Yarmouth

We stumbled across this whilst staying at the local Haven. Food was delicious, reasonably priced and close to the haven site. Staff really friendly, would recommend.

The fish cakes are the best I've ever tasted, but then again everything is is delicious

All flash and cooked to order, friendly staff and reasonably priced compared to other chippys in the area. This will become our regular chippy on our visits to Great Yarmouth. 5⭐️

Amazing traditional fish and chip shop

Really appalled by the worker (bald, white man aged approximately 55-65 years old) who was making his views on ADHD “and other conditions like it” very loudly and clear to a customer. He was saying kids these days “just need a good smack”, like they were in his generation - and “my dad smacked me and done no harm”. I felt very comfortable with the words I was hearing which I can’t write here, and when he caught me looking in disbelief he started to press his views on me. All I wanted to do was order my dinner and go home. His inappropriate comments made me throw my food in the bin as I was no longer hungry. I feel so sick that this worker felt it was acceptable to make these comments in a business setting in 2024. I will not be visiting again. Avoid.

Had a takeaway on the go while working over this way. Good value for money.Chios very nice not greasy. Battered jumbo sausage not a good as my local Skinner's Chippy but it filled a craving.Good recommendation from Google.

Utterly delicious and fresh cod. I asked for it without skin, and it was done without fuss and cooked to perfection.The fish flaked away when I ate it - wonderful. Charming staff and good atmosphere. I went and ate my fish and chips (the chips were also some of the best I have tasted) in the Minster gardens nearby. Thank you

Quickly served and not bad prices either.hot and great food

There was a 10 minute wait( at 7pm), but there are chairs, while they cooked our cod and chips but it was excellent and fresh fish. 2 Cod and large chips for £14: isn't the cheapest but it was worth it. There isn't much parking available.

Whilst staying at the nearby caravan site we called here at Saturday lunchtime. Friendly chatty staff soon had our medium haddock freshly fried along with bourbon chips.We quickly walked back and we weren’t disappointed. A good chunk of clearly fresh haddock was coated in divine crispy batter with plenty of flavour. Chips were just as good. An excellent chippy with THE best batter outside of Yorkshire

Just lately been to get cod and chips here and twice it was not cod. Don't know what it was but it was watery and went to mush, NOT the nice firm white flakes of cod. I begrudge paying £7.50 for an inferior fish! Have always used this shop as it's close by, but having second thoughts now and I made it plain I wanted cod.

Why on earth would you pay fried prices for cod your paying cod prices for batter and oil staff hardly talk never going back again

Ace fish n chips perfectly cooked ...the best in Yarmouth;!

I don't say this lightly, but this is probably the best fish and chips I've ever had. Absolutely perfect. Chips are crispy on the outside, fluffy on the outside, and not too greasy. Fish was white and flaky, whilst being moist, with light crispy batter. Once again, perfection!

Awesome fish and chip supper served here; reasonably priced and the peas were a natural green, not coloured. Excellent dinner!

This is easily the best Fish and Chip shop in town. I have the large Haddock which is beautiful, and it is usually cooked fresh for me, but well worth the wait. All of the staff are friendly so give this chippy a try.
