Have wanted to come here for some time. I must say that the whole experience was brilliant. The food was fantastic The staff were so friendly and atmosphere was very charming. Will be coming back AGAIN. Thank you

Booked to celebrate my birthday. Food was fab, wish they had a few more non meat options. Also a few more gin options as it is listed. Lovely place to sit and watch the lake. Would recommend to friends. Would come again

We went to celebrate a birthday with friends and family so there was 8 of us. We were told we were in a pod near the lake which was fine. And there would be a charge of £5. So we all chose our starters and main course and apart from the starters arriving all at different times, so the first person had eaten there’s by the time the rest arrived the food was good. The mains arrived in better time and were all very tasty although a little lacking in meat in some dishes . The food overall was lovely and surrounding very nice. When the bill came we were surprised to see we had been charged £40 ( not £5 for all £5 each) for the luxury of sitting in a pod. Which I feel is a bit rough when actually it was the only place available for us all to sit together. Nice for a treat.

Very slow service Fried food over done the rest exceptional Soup 5 star When we went to pay lady’s a little flustered other staff shouting things to her and even a customer came over complaining he’d paid twice I tried to tell her no rush then a young girl came over started pressing loads of buttons and said you haven’t cleared this that’s why it won’t work then disappeared If that’s training it’s rubbish She came back a 2nd time and took over the screen and disappeared I couldn’t bite my tongue as said she’s taking longer as you are all confusing her Don’t think they liked it Definitely no I in team and team work is lacking We were booked in for another night during our stay at woodlakes but cancelled and went to jacks where customer service is 5 star

Something a bit different. Dined on the bus. Quite snug! Not much elbow room so you eat like a T-Rex. The food is very good. Great service. Lovely surroundings. Staff are pleasant. Pods outside, if you fancy it. Not sure how they would be if the weather isn't too good as they are open.

An enjoyable evening sat by the lake. Various different types of areas to eat. The bus, the pods, the domes or by the lake at tables. On our visit it was very hot weather so opted for table seating. A good menu choice, good portion sizes and delicious food. Restaurant situated in a holiday park.

Excellent place and amazing Thai Cuisine

Took my man for a birthday treat here. Parking was a little confusing but nothing stressful. We were instantly taken to where we needed to go and served with options on our food arriving. So if we wanted our starter and main together so we can enjoy all our food. We didn't. We both enjoyed out starter. So lovely. And fresh. The main was even better. Crispy beef for me and the hubby got a noodles dish. We were trying each other's as the flavours were amazing. The staff were so very kind, topping our drinks. Asking If we needed anything throughout our time. Even checking the footie results for us. We then payed and took our drinks off the bus and went for a little stroll around the lake. It wasn't busy so was offered the teepee or the globe if we wernt comfortable on the bus as we arrived but the bus was fun. We're now thinking of having a bigger party as the globes seem big enough for maybe around 8 to 10 people. It's sheltered where the bar is along with some of the teepees you can hire so if a bad day in weather you can still enjoy. Highly recommend for a quirky meal out.

Had a Sunday Buffet in a VIP pod. The food was top class Thai with more than enough for the seven of us. Service was excellent and provided by some very polite and friendly staff. The location and atmosphere are very much like being in Thailand (weather permitting) Thoroughly recommend "Liv Pan Thai" for an authentic and enjoyable experience. Will definitely be going back.

This was a very unusual place and the service was excellent. We dined in the pods with a view of the lake and there's individual heating.in them if you get chilly.

We walked in and was waiting to be seated, was completely ignored by all staff for around 5-10 minutes (there was only a handful of couples in there). Once we sat down, we were then left for ages with no menu. Whereas a group of 4 came in behind us and received menus, drinks, etc. I personally think it’s because we had dogs but don’t know. Anyways, ordered the food and seemed alright then I noticed a dead insect on my salad and my partner had a piece of wool or something on his. We told the waitress who said she would tell the manager, we still paid full price even though we ate half of it. I thought service was poor and food quality was poor.

Having booked a table over a month ago we turned up today to be told they had overbooked and expected us to share a small pod with two complete strangers they offered us a table outside of the venue behind a screen eventually we managed to secure a refund

Lovely food with a great view of the lakes

Having previously visited this venue, we recommended to friends saying how lovely this unique restaurant is. We had a table booked for 6 people on Saturday and were eventually seated in the new VIP huts. We ordered drinks whilst looking through the menu , 20 minutes later the drinks arrived !!! We ordered our food and asked for prawn crackers to have before our starters , 25 minutes later I had to go and ask for these and was told , sorry we are busy. Eventually we received these and our starters arrived near enough the same time. Unfortunately 2 of the starters (duck spring rolls) had to be sent back as they were cold. We were left sitting for 2 hours without any sign of our main meals, therefore I went to the main bar to ask where our food was and was told sorry we don't have any control over the kitchen. It was at this point we decided to leave very hungry and very disappointed. Such a shame as I am very reluctant to return.

Brilliant atmosphere, fantastic food,great service...

Tried bubble - not worth it... was sunny day means very hot inside because not enough air circulation... Asked a high chair for baby - dont have it, so makes your eating exp very not comfy...

Parking dreadful, signage poor and the one way system is not very clear. No traditional Thai welcome when we entered. Waiter staff very inexperienced and couldn't even pronounce 'Singha' beer correctly. Seemed un-interested in providing traditonal Thai ambiance, which is disappointing, as the it's part of the experience. The settings and surrounding views are pleasant. Food, not really impressed, as the main dishes were poor in terms of Thai curries very bland, starters were tasty, Paad was good, but sadly overall I felt it was overpriced and underwhelming. They need to up their game and review their customer - staff relations if they are going to charge these prices. Probably should have read the reviews first!

Parking on the venue is a little questionable - we had to park in the overflow car park which was super bumpy and unlit, which resulted in me stepping in a muddy puddle right before dinner and having to eat with a soaking right foot :D Atmosphere in the bus is quite nice, however the seats are really small so it was a bit cramped as a party of three. Whenever the windows were opened it was incredibly cold (especially with a wet foot). Cocktails are definitely overpriced for what they are, and the mocktail versions we asked for were a little questionable. Food was tasty, however a bit too adjusted to British taste. My sirloin steak was amazing and the sauce had a good taste and stinging spice levels, but the vegetables tasted really flat and reminded me on freezer veg. All in all a solid meal in a funky venue if you're not expecting authentic Thai food.

Staying at the park so had to try this place. First impression it looks great. We had the dog with us so sat outside. I had booked one of the pods but we were seated in the wooden huts which was heated. Unfortunately it was quite cold as the heater doesn't last very long so we had to keep playing with it. The beer was singha which wasn't the liveliest but tasted good. I ordered the tamarind duck which was good, but very sweet. The duck was crispy but I wasn't keen on the sauce. My other half ordered chicken satay which he said was amazing, and the Ribs which unfortunately he didn't like as they were too sweet and chewy. The food did get cold quickly as we were outside . Prawn crackers were great though! Would recommend to anyone staying at Woodlakes, but I'd like to try something else and eat indoors.

All of the food was fantastic. Starters were delicious, we shared two between 2 of us and both were lovely. The veg spring rolls were well sized and generous portion. Mains were also delicious and well sized. We squeezed banana fritters in for afters but were too full really but enjoyed them nonetheless. The team were super friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back to try more of the menu 🤤

The venue is beautiful. Converted buses and characterful huts set next to a lovely, quiet lake. Seating is a little peculiar - only really suitable for parties of four or less. The staff were all wonderful. Friendly, attentive and professional. The food was overpriced for what it was. Almost £8 for a single soft shell crab. Pad Thai which was nothing special at all and seemed to have minimal amounts of the more expensive ingredients for £14+ depending on the meat you selected. Seating, portion size and the apparent scrimping on some ingredients are what let this place down. I feel like the place has a lot of potential to be something special

This was recommended to go and was not disappointed. The food here is amazing! 17 starters, mains and extras and everything perfect! Different experience sitting on top deck of bus to eat, nice novelty for the kids. Will definitely be coming back!

Myself and 2 friends came on Saturday night and had a table reservation on the bus. We arrived and the setting was beautiful. We had been so excited to try here for a while! The starters were really good and really big portions. We also had a cocktail each which were priced at £12 each (a little expensive but it was a Christmas meal.) When our mains arrived, they looked lovely BUT when I took a bite of my chicken, it was cold and the texture was like it was uncooked. I apologised to the waitress and she took it back to the kitchen. There was no apology from anyone and I was made to feel bad for sending it back. It arrived a less than 5 minutes later and it was apparent that it has been put in the microwave to heat up as the chicken was rubbery and the vegetables were rock hard. Again no apology. We were put off our food after this as we had all ordered a chicken dish so hardly ate any of our meals. We then ordered a tea, and 2 gin and lemonades and looking at the bill at the end the gins were £10.50 each!!! Absolutely ridiculous prices that you'd expect to pay in London! The atmosphere was dead, no music on in the background, a miserable waitress watching your every move/staring at you from the front of the bus waiting for you to leave at 21.40 whom tidied up around us, and made us feel very uncomfortable with her attitude when we joked about having to leave as they were all staring up at us waiting for us to go. We will never return after this experience and will warn others off too.

Everything about the restaurant is great except for the accuracy of the rating of how spicy the food is. I was dubious as my wife doesn't like spice so she was cautious and went for a dish with no spice rating and it was hot. Not a little hot, very hot. We had to swap meals and I like spice and still found it very hot and didn't finish it. The young staff were apologetic but the management didn't say a word. Apart from that, amazing, service, venue, starters and my original choice of main, all excellent. Get your ratings sorted and we'll be back!

Very bumpy track in the car to get there, parking was a little disorganised as people seemed to just abandon there cars wherever they could, but once arrived and found somewhere suitable to park we was very impressed with everything Liv Pan Asia had to offer. The food was incredible we sat in the bus for our food, which was lovely and warm and very nicely set out. Great service will definitely going back

Brilliant location, fantastic food great service

The atmosphere is so good with the water front view, chalets, bubble pods, double-decker styled bus restaurant and outdoor cubicles, very creative design of the environment. The food was also great with the exception of the sweet and sweet-and-sour based meals, they were too sugary. Other meals were so damn great, the duck, ribs, noodles, prawns, dumplings and spring rolls were excellent. The spring rolls are the best I've ever had across all 4 regions I've been to - North America, Africa, Europe and Middle East. 👏🏽👏🏽

First time here at Woodlakes so had to try this and I can honestly say it was delicious! Will definitely be ordering again on our next visit.

We absolutely loved the food served this eveing. The quality, taste, presentation and choices on the menu were outstanding. This was our first visit to Liv Pan Asia. We found it easily in the dark as we visited in the evening. Dining on the top deck of the double decker bus put a smile on our faces. We really enjoyed our evening and found the service to be very good. We can't wait to return. Thank you 😊

Well worth a visit to this Thai restaurant. Decent Thai food, although a little westernised for me. We ate in one of the outdoor huts, the other option is inside the double decker bus. Nice to see some originality.

Very disappointing overall. Whilst the the restaurant, and it’s surroundings are very nice the food didn’t live anywhere up to that standard. The spring roll starters were very bland and had a lack of duck in the filling as well as our vegetable spring rolls being served as duck ones too! The chicken in the Tom Yum soup was inedible due to its dryness with it ruining the dish entirely. These issues didn’t end. The main of garlic stir fry with noodles and duck was highly disappointing due to the fact that the noodles hadn’t been stir fried with the sauce and had been served on a separate dish. This reduced the flavour and enjoyment of the main with it feeling very stodgy and wrong. The duck was very hit and miss with the flabby skin being left on as well as it being dry. Was nice to see that these issues weren’t ignored with our starters being comped by the restaurant. I just feel like this place needs to focus less on the aesthetic and more on quality control and service. Just basic things like sticky tables and menus, standards of service and communication from server to table need to improved upon. The place has a lot of potential but there are a lot better Thai restaurants in the area with better service, food and enjoyment currently.

What a great atmosphere, excellent food, and a relaxed environment.

We did have a problem finding the place. When you enter wood lakes there is a carpark for cars and mini bus etc and various signs. We couldn't see a sign for Pan Asia but saw a sign with similar logo for Asia Kitchen so figured it must be that. We parked up and walked followed the signage to a building which was clearly under construction. After walking back we went to reception and asked there, the lady showed us where to go and pointed out a mini bus had parked infront of the signs. As we were now late we drove and found there is limited parking. We were soon seated with a choice of outside pods. Service was good soon having our drinks order taken then our choice of meals. My starter came out wrong but was soon replaced with the correct dish. Mains were very nice. We didn't have to wait long for anything. The pods are laid out for 4 people but would be a little tight, it's just right for two people. There is a light, heater and sockets with USB in the pods. Pricing is slightly above avarage. Location is nice, luckily the weather as nice.

What a gem! Some of the best Thai I’ve ever had with great great, friendly and attentive service. Can’t ask for more.

We did the vip hut for 6 adults and 2 children for a birthday meal. It was no extra cost. We loved being tucked away in our own space, beautiful surroundings. Food was amazing, full of flavour and service was very fast and attentive!

We went on a Tuesday night as a family of 4 including a child. The venue is not child friendly incase you were wondering. No kids menu and no smaller portions offered so you’re looking at £30 for a 2 course meal for a child. When we arrived and were shown to our booked table, it wasn’t set up. The waitress panicked and bought some placemats and menus over. We ordered and the starters came. The waitress waited at the table wondering why we weren’t eating until she realised we had no cutlery to eat it with! I asked for no side salad on my sons starter but it still came with the salad. I nabbed a napkin from an empty table next to us. The waitress saw me do this and still didn’t bring us napkins so we had to ask. We had to flag her down twice to ask for extra drinks which when the order was slightly wrong. There’s definitely a language barrier. The service really need to be friendlier and the waitresses taught to smile. That said, the food was absolutely amazing. I had TomYum soup which was the best ever and steak salad. I was warned by the waitress the steak salad was extremely hot and she questioned my choice. I decided to have it anyway and it was not spicy in the slightest. I had to borrow chilli’s from family’s plates and I’m not a massive spice lover. Everyone one else really enjoyed their food and the setting is really beautiful. Some blinds on the window would have been good as the sun went down, we were all struggling with sun in our eyes. We would definitely return as the food and setting was so nice but I hope Liv Pan Asia read this and similar reviews and improve on their service.

Absolutely fantastic food in a lovely setting

Exceptional food. Service great and friendly staff. Tables too big on bus and you feel quite restricted. And i had table 8 next to the waitress,s station and felt like we had our own private security guard standing over us! Which annoyed me when 8 tables with privacy sat empty. Will give it another go , but outside in one of there pods on a nice day

Liv pan was a truly excellent Thai experience, we had been to Dangs in Downham market a number of times and really enjoying it, but having visited liv pan with my family, they have far exceed my expectations of Thai food, great food, great location and very good and attentive staff, for the Thai food lovers among you, this is a must to visit and enjoy, please visit and enjoy.

A great venue and lovely food, let down by lack of staff. This was at 18:30 midweek, good luck on a Friday night! Initial service was good, after that, we had to wave and call the waitress every time. Wait for second drinks, wait for barrel to be changed, not asked if they could provide an alternative. We requested the for bill three times, in the end had to queue outside, in the pouring rain to pay together with two other couples. When they messed up the bill and only charged us £38, I should have kept quiet. I was honest as the bill was double that - they didn't even thank us for our honesty. A real shame as it could be a nice place if they staffed it properly and trained what staff there were.

Wow what a place!! We came here whilst we were guests at the park and the whole experience was amazing. The food was absolutely beautiful and the staff were so lovely and attentive. The location of the restaurant (right on the side of the lake) really made this experience special, especially if your very own little pod overlooks the lake during a sunset! We will never forget this truly amazing dining experience and I hope that we will be back again.

Restaurant top level of the double decker bus there are pods outside for sitting. The food was very nice and the service was also good. Seating is allocated 1hr 20mins which I feel is not quite long enough. Unfortunately we where asked if we would be happy to leave 10 mins before hand as a booking of 5 had arrived. Would eat there again.

This is a relatively new venue so it is still at a fledgling stage. On the plus side and there are a few, it is situated beautifully on a lakeside and on a warm summer's evening you couldn't wish for better. The food is very flavoursome and well presented. The tables are set in little wooden pod's to call them converted garden sheds would be unkind. The service however is very hit and miss (and far from professional, inexperience being the main factor I feel) especially if you are in one of the huts further away from the main area. The cooking is very reminiscent of the type of street food vendor you would encounter on a distant holiday, but as I said beautifully made and presented. My only criticisms are, that so far as a variety of accompanying drinks is concerned it is limited to wine or lager, little else! Parking near the venue is very limited unless you are staying on site. As for the price, well that is relative to what you expect for your hard earned cash? Starters were around £8.00 while the mains ranged between £18 - £22.00. For me personally quantity didn't match the quality ( some may leave and need a takeaway on the way home?), it's all a matter of individual perspective. I would certainly recommend that you try here at least once, it is worth a visit even though in my opinion improvements are required to make this top-notch.

This is such a fantastic find. It is a Thai restaurant on a double decker bus with some pods outside with lovely fairy lighting that will be great in the summer. The food is absolutely delicious. Duck spring rolls, satay chicken and breaded prawns for starters all delicious. I believe all their meat is either free range or organic and you can really taste the quality. For main I had the duck Thai red curry which was out of this world. I imagine as more people find out about this place it will be booked all the time. Fantastic food. Reasonable price. Good service. Interesting vibe.
