Memphis BBQ And Wicked Wings in Suffolk Coastal

This was our first time trying various items on the menu (ribs, wings, chicken club, etc). It was a late afternoon, on a Saturday, and we didn’t order in advance (our fault), so we had to wait about an hour for our order. It was definitely worth the wait. It was delicious!!! Don’t let the exterior of the building fool you: it was a clean, well organized establishment.

best smoked wings i have ever had. the fries and poutine are standard fares but the wings is a must try . the owners are good people and place is clean even though old!

Atmosphere is busy, this location was better when it was Pine Valley Drive. I would recommend ordering out, staff is friendly but its always busy so if your in a rush or not in a good mood not a good idea to dine in.

We went out here after Wonderland and the food was great. Nephew had wings and said they were fantastic. Usually he doesn’t find hot wings hot enough. We had ribs also and they were tender, just as suggested by our server. Definitely recommend if you’re travelling east like us and make it to Vaughan area.

entered the spot very helpful staff, beef burger with bacon & cheese was great. came with a 6 oz succulent piece of beef patty. great texture and over all flavor. ordered a half lb pulled pork, came smothered in sauce and it was so enjoyable to eat. could not be happier as a customer. theyll give any bbq a run for their money.

Pre-Covid Ontario played host to a tour of travelling ribfests There are companies that compete against each other and local companies for the best ribs and wings. Memphis competed against those companies and won each time. After a while the reputation lead to the decision to stay put and make wings and ribs year round. And that is what the owners did. The smoked wings with original sauce are hands down the best wings around. The ribs and pulled pork are also some of the best I have had. Can’t decided on what to get? The Elvis platter. It is their sampler with fries/onion rings with coleslaw and baked beans. Guaranteed there is a little something for everyone. The staff are friendly and you will be back for more. Enjoy.

Nick and the team at Memphis BBQ provided our Robotics Team (2852) will a fantastic meal after a very long day. Nick fed 45 students, mentors, and parents all for under $12/head. The ribs, wings, and pulled pork each have enough flavor to stand on their own, but when combined on a plate with some cornbread they become legendary. If you are ordering take out catering, go with the slaw vs fries. The slaw travelers better and holds longer than the fries. We are back in the GTA for more events. We will be calling Memphis again.

We were visiting the McMichael Gallery and passed by this uninspiring looking BBQ place on Islington Ave north of Hwy 7. We decided to stop in for lunch since we're fans of BBQ and discovering places off the beaten path. The place inside matched its exterior, unassuming and rustic. Don't expect modern or bright decor. You go for the food and service. The young people were friendly and attentive. The wings, ribs and fries came out in quick order and were delightfully messy and tasty. Prices were very reasonable and portions were generous. The menu offers lots of BBQ choices from combos, platters, beef, pork or chicken sandwiches and even salads although that's not why you visit this place. They offer a couple dozen different sauces to suit your taste or tolerance. There's lots of parking in the back. Fairly popular with the flannel shirt crowd at lunch. They know a great value when they eat one.

We picked up a rib & wing combo dinner & I have to say we have not had ribs this good in years. The wings, fries, coleslaw & baked beans were as good as well. Had to wait a long time to pick up our order but after eating our meal we know why!! Worth the wait & will make Memphis Barbecue our go to place! Thanks Memphis!

Food is very good but do not look at the level of cleanliness ! Tried to order last Saturday for pick up, 1 hour wait time, tried to order tonight at 5:30, earliest pick up 7:30 ! Really 2 hours wait for a rib dinner pick up, you have to be joking !

I was introduced to this place by a friend of mine and man oh man the beat Ribs I’ve ever had...the portion size is pretty decent for the price and the wings were equally as good as the ribs. It’s going to be my go to place from now on!

Have been looking for a place like this for a long time. The GTA needs more places like this . A little out of Toronto but well worth the drive. Had the wings and ribs. The ribs have to be some of the best I’ve had and I’ve had them all over the USA and have missed not having great ones at home. Tried my friend’s pulled pork which was so good I got an order of it to go. the wings were exceptional. Great portions and reasonable price. Service was excellent and I’ll definitely be back.

Driven past this eatery 100’s of times without dropping in. Should have passed one more time. Ordered a meal for takeout as “dining room” was packed. A/C might of been trying hard but heat and smoke from cooking was troublesome. We have eaten BBQ all across North America including in Memphis on Beale Street. Everything tasted like the equipment was long over due for cleaning. I’ve had better BBQ from frozen dinners in a supermarket. Won’t return. Maybe it was a bad day.

If it’s ribs you crave, head to this hidden jewel in Woodbridge. Mouthwatering ribs basted with your choice of sauce (so many varieties!)...delicious burgers... Cramped seating, but we got it to go, and enjoyed our lunch at a nearby park... Worth the drive to Woodbridge...highly recommendable...

First time in Toronto. My friend recommended this place. Chick wings was soooo good, remember to ask them the sources not on the menu, you will not regret. Best BBQ so far in my life.

Las raciones eran geniales y el precio era increíble. Volveremos una y otra vez cuando realmente hambre!

Un amigo me recomendó este lugar cuando mencionamos que estaríamos en la zona para jugar al hockey. Fui un poco cauteloso cuando nos detuvimos, ya que el lugar es este pequeño agujero en la pared. El estacionamiento estaba lleno y cuando entramos, los asientos estaban llenos y una fila en la puerta, así que ya es una buena señal. Nos sugirieron que hiciéramos nuestro pedido y esperáramos a que se abriera una mesa. Cuando surgió nuestro pedido, no había mesas libres, así que decidimos llevarlo.

Una pequeña casa de carretera independiente que parece una choza ubicada en medio de la nada en una calle principal. Parpadea cuando pases y seguramente te lo perderás. Estacionamiento algo limitado disponible en la parte trasera. Asientos muy limitados en el interior perpetuando aún más el ambiente de los bosques. Detrás del mostrador y los camareros son extremadamente amables, siempre sonríen y te hacen sentir bienvenido. Nuestros Mini Combos fueron grandes éxitos, cada uno de los cuales consistía en cuatro derretidos en la boca, caerse del hueso, las carnes asadas de barbacoa cubiertas con la salsa de la casa. Seis alas doradas de barbacoa crujientes acompañan a las costillas. Cada pedido también vino con papas fritas doradas, crujientes por fuera, harapientas por dentro, una taza de frijoles al horno, una taza de ensalada de col y una rebanada de pan de maíz. Continuamente ocupado, por lo que los tiempos de espera en la mesa pueden ser largos. Sin duda volveremos aquí.

Conduciendo por la avenida Islington. En nuestro camino a Kleinberg vimos un letrero de Memphis BBQ en la parte superior de una choza como vivienda. Fue unánime que tuviéramos que haber fumado costillas para el almuerzo. Aparcamos detrás del edificio y bromeábamos si el menú tenía una ruta por carretera disponible. Entramos y fuimos abordados con el calor y el olor dulce de la nuez. Una vez sentada, la camarera fue amable, hospitalaria y explicó las opciones en el menú. Pedimos el combo de costillas y alas ahumadas. La carne tierna se desprendió de los huesos y las alas ligeramente chamuscadas estaban sabrosas. Las patatas fritas eran buenas y la ensalada y frijoles al horno vinieron en porciones bastante pequeñas. La comida era buena de Smokin. En las horas pico, la pequeña sala se llena de gente y está ocupada con los pedidos. Si el clima es agradable, lleve su pedido a un parque cercano.

It looks like a dive, but the food is great and worth the wait. Not really a dining in place you can eat their but it is very small, best to call ahead to make your order and pick up.

Ordered the ribs, pulled pork, wings, fries and multiple sides , I had 12 people at the house , sons birthday, heard so much about Memphis bbq on islington ave in Woodbrige , thought we would give it a try, the food and service was amazing , if you like bbq, they won’t disappoint, I will definitely go back , thanks Memphis.

Although there is a sitting area in the restaurant section, it is better to buy take-out because the open grill is hot and close to the sitting area. The ribs are good, but there is always a long line up for pick-up orders. They will not finish preparing your food on time at dinner hours for take-out orders. For example, if you want dinner at 6:00 p.m., you will have to buy and pickup the ribs at 4:00 p.m. It is cash only outlet. Sometimes, they are so busy that they do not accept phone orders for take-out. It is a small place, fast food type outlet.

Ribs and wings were both fantastic! Def worth the wait. Smells like heaven in here. I would recommend anytime. Not a lot of room for seating though. Takeout seems to be pretty popular.

Ribs and wings were good but wasn't spectacular for connoisseur like myself. There are only 6 tables and ventilation was nonexistent so be prepare for full decontamination shower when you get home.

Great guys running this place. It's clear they are proud of their food and so they should be! Best bbq I have had in Canada.

Delicious food! The ribs and pulled pork is so good. Call ahead to order take out can take up to an hour over the weekend.

I Went here for a take out lunch the out side is not too pretty. What they are cooking sure is. Great brisket amazing ribs. Can’t wait to get more I hear the pulled pork is also great. If you love meat this is the spot. The staff is very cool and helpful. I would make this a must try more then once.

No good to dine in. Run down and dirty Good for take out only but over priced and slow service. Limited menu; ribs and wings are not as good as expected. Award winning location but had to be in their good old days.

I absolutely love ribs and wings, so does my family and thought and To check this place out for years...I've lived in Woodbridge for 38 years and have never gone.

Man does this place bring back memories...was a super popular burger spot in the 80's. Anyway, now that I've given away my (old) age, here's what you need to know about this place: 1) Don't let the (dated) exterior deceive you 2) Everyone who works there seems to enjoy their jobs immensely 3) There aren't too many seats so take-out is a viable option and *most importantly* 4) The food is absolutely terrific. Can't go wrong with Ribs and/or Wings OR the Bacon Cheeseburger (which I'm guessing gets overlooked). Prices are reasonable for what you get. Only negative I can think of is the fries are just so-so (a McCain-type vibe) IMO. Side note - they DO NOT take credit cards (debit or cash only). Thanks guys, will be back soon!

I heard a about this place and drive by regularly so we decided to order lunch to go.

This place has been around for a long time and the food is the best old school 1970’s style ribs,burgers and wings etc etc. The service is excellent, friendly and fast.

This place is not to be overlooked if you enjoy properly prepared BBQ ribs. There is a lot that goes into their preparation and it all comes through with every bite.

Not got many words to say but you must try this place has the best ribs ever. You won't be disappointed. Staff are really friendly too :) well deserved 5 stars

This place is the best place to go if you're looking for some old fashioned BBQ! We got the Party Pack 1 for a small get together and it fulfilled everyone's appetites. The meat on the rack of ribs slid right off the bone, the cornbread was amazing and the fries were delicious.

I have been to many restaurants but this place has by far the best ribs I have had. They were very meaty and tender. The meat was full of flavour. The sauce they use was delicious. The wings were also good. The restaurant is very small and very busy but definitely worth the wait.

We find the Memphis Barbecue the most satisfying food in town. They have a good variety of food on the menu and it is all good. We always call ahead because they are busy but are always appreciative of your patience. We do take-out because space is limited and the food is always worth the wait.

had not been here in a couple years - nothing has changed - the best BBQ in Vaughn and one of the very best in the GTA. It is worth driving that extra distance for good food.

Amazing Staff, very friendly and helpful. Generous portions. Very accommodating and the food is phenomenal. They really do it right here and treat customers great. I feel very satisfied after eating here but not a lot of room so most people take out. They are extremely busy so that should tell you about the food Would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great BBQ pit. Tried to go to another place but it was temporarily closed so found Memphis BBQ...so so delicious! Small sitting area but managed to sit the 6 of us and we shared party pack 5 (which we didn't realize feeds 8-10!) for $95...needless to say we had leftovers to take home! So glad we found this place!

This is our families go thome place for ribs. Don't let the exterior put you off, literally fall off the bone ribs will be the best you have ever had. Price is reasonable as well

Food is subjective so just because I like it does it mean you will and vice versa.This is small location that holds 24 at tables and three on stools. If you go in with a stroller you might struggle.We ordered a half rack of ribs and a beef brisket sandwich with fries. The sides that came with the food were beans and coleslaw. The coleslaw was good the beans meh and the portions were a bit under-sized. We were in a bit of a rush I'm not sure of cornbread was part of the meal or not but we never got it. The beef brisket was okay the ribs were excellent fall off the bone ribs was great sauce highly recommended. Being the #1 restaurant in Woodbridge it didn't meet my expectations. I ordered brisket sandwiches and burgers. The brisket tasty was ok but rather on the dry side, order size vs price was good and sides were fine ... fries though were great. The burgers were better than many other places. The restaurant was super busy, taking orders on the phone all the time and people showing up to pick up their orders one after another. Take out is pretty much the only option as they only have 6 small tables.I will give it another try to see if the ribs and wings are as good as everybody else says.

The Pulled Pork and the Ribs and the wings... I could go on because it's really great food!! Maybe I shouldn't tell anyone because it's already a very busy place that takes orders and runs out of food. LOL. But you have to try the food! GREAT!

We travel over 40 min to visit Memphis BBQ, they just have such good wings!Every flavor we have tried is amazing, nice size and always hot. The fries are also really tasty. The ketchup seems like it's been sitting out or in the sun, wasn't thrilled about that but no big deal. The pulled pork sandwiches and ribs are also amazing. We go all over the place for wings, and this is definitely the best we have found in the GTA.The restaurant is nice when it's not busy. With only 6 tables it's usually quite crowded. I find a lot of people talk quiet or not much at all since basically everyone is eating together. Or maybe the food is just so good nobody wants to do anything but eat! There is a park behind the restaurant so that's an option on a nice day.If you haven't gone yet, you need to try it out, you won't regret your visit to Memphis BBQ!

Take out or dine in; food is already great! Wings, Ribs, Burgers ect. You can't go wrong grabbing dinner here. Call ahead for pickup orders! That way there's no waiting around as the place is on the smaller side and gets very busy constantly! They also offer family pacakges which is nice

For a small place it has quite a following. Good burgers and fries. Not the classiest hamburger joint I've been too.

Best bbq spot in the area! If it's during a peak eating time I recommend calling in your order. Great staff, the manager is always very friendly & always gets my order correct. They offer a variety of combo's which for individuals or groups. Amazing ribs with decent prices. The fries are fantastic as they taste like they are coated & have a great crispiness to them even when you take them to go. Great wings & many flavor's to pick from. Dining room is very limited & is usually full. This is the original P.V.D building which is symbolic to old Woodbridge which brings back great memories of when this used to be a nice small town not full of impolite drivers & condo's. There is a big park just north of the building which you can walk to if you want a nice open outdoor spot to eat. I will definitely go back.

Don't let the size of the place fool you. They do a lot of takeout here! Small sit down area if you are inclined to eat in. One full rack of ribs will set you back $25. Delish!

My second visit to this place. First time was over a year ago. Don't let the outside fool you. This is real BBQ. Low and slow you literally smell the smoke when you walk in the door. Nothing fancy just we'll done. My only concern was making fried wings as their primary on combos. With a smoker that good you want to push that deep smokey flavor on everything. Ordered a 1/2 pound wings ala cartel then wings ribs and brisket to take with me for dinner with others. Great portions chicken just a bit dry. Overall a great bbq. Everything was fall off the bone. YummmmIf you come bring wet wipes as you won't be able to lick all the sauce off your fingers. 8 out of 10

Their wings, ribs and fries combos are incredible. The place is always busy which is why their food is always so fresh. The portions are big and their prices are reasonable. I'd love to see them move into a bigger building someday.

Looking for a place to eat while working on North Toronto. Found this by accident. Omg! Ribs are ridiculous. The song is rustic rough, but that's part of the charm. Staff is great and you have to be patient, they only have 8 tables. But if you like ribs....

The ribs used to be good to fatty. ,pulled pork and wings are very good along with many other things. ALTHOUGH I STOPPED ORDERING FOOD HERE, I GUESSS I GOT TIRED OF WAITING 30 min or longer for my food and missing things from I order.

Food is great. The location my not look the best but it is a very friendly place and have a great environment.

This is part of the Big Bone family and they live up to their reputation. Good menu options of combos etc.

Hey like to give a shout out to the Memphis staff for serving up some wicked food along with good service . We had forgot a portion of our meal and they took the time in the middle of service to come and hand deliver our meal . Can't ask for a better solution . Great meal and great staff .

The place is an absolute dive, it's clean and the staff is as good as they come, but the place itself is a shanty. The food is A1, best pulled pork I've had in a long time. Don't judge a book by its cover

I made my first trip to this place after passing by it many times. I went on a Sunday right when they opened.The staff, all around, was nice! Something I appreciate when visiting an establishment. The menu items were easy to ready and well organized.The gentleman taking my order was kind enough to assist with my order and suggest recommendations. After the order was placed, I was told it would take roughly 20 minutes which was fine by me.When the food arrived, the presentation was nice! The side ribs tasted MUCH better than I thought. It has a nice crispy texture to it and the BBQ sauce was sweet. The meat on the ribs was not rough nor was it fall off the bones but decent enough. The sides were good, Coleslaw was good, the beans were nice and the cornbread was alright. All of the sides came in a small portion. The fries were okay, a bit much. The wings were my only issue. They were not that great. I think it is a combination of the supplier and the way it was prepped and cooked. I have had much better wings at many establishments.Overall, I would return to this place in the future. Looking forward to trying other items on the menu!

This place has been a standard of mine for some time now. The place is small with only 8 tables but the turn over is quick so other than peak times magically there is usually a seat. The smell of BBQ hits you as soon as you walk in teh joint and it has teh feel of a real American style joint that you would find anywhere in teh southern USA. I also have to mention I am a bit of a BBQ geek and have checked out many famous BBQ joints all over the States and can say that this fits right in line with that experience, right down to the sticky table tops and worn menus. I have taken many business associates to this place with full disclosure up front and everyone has been happy that I did not take them to yet another chain restaurant serving the same old same old. Many are now regulars themselves! I usually suggest the Elvis Platter as it lets you sample a little bit of everything pulled pork, ribs, brisket and wings. It is a big meal so have your feedbag on when you show up but there are lesser portions as well.I am not going to critic the food as it is is BBQ and if you like that your going to love this. Lastly be forewarned they do not have a liquor licence so no beer with dinner and secondly they do not accept credit cards so Cash or Debit are your only payment choices. To be honest I am analog and still carry cash with me but I am in minority now.

This eatery is always busy - but - they give good service, and good food. I find that it is better to call ahead so they have your order ready. Otherwise, with the small parking lot, it can be a long wait.

Southern BBQ is something I rarely eat (causes weight gain!), but a type of cuisine that I adore and in Ontario as a whole, you can't go wrong, ever, with Memphis. Its a hole in the wall, its hot in the summer, can be cold in the winter, but rest-assured, the food is always absolutely fantastic.There are a wide variety of dishes to choose from, from Salads, to Brisket and Chicken sandwiches, to Pulled pork, Ribs and Chicken Wings, nothing I have ever had from Memphis, hasn't been completely delicious and their French Fries... Not sure if they're double-fried, coated or what, but they are incredible. I tend to get the Elvis platter, which is a great mix of all of Memphis' best (Ribs, Wings, Pulled Pork) and things are not drowned in sauce; you put on what you like.Just fantastic and the staff that works here is incredibly courteous, polite and friendly, just a great place! Apparently, they do a mean breakfast as well, though I've never tried it.

Did a search on TripAdvisor as I was in the area fulfilling a shopping request from back home. From the pictures it looks like a small little place but man it ranked no. 1 in Woodbridge... gotta give it a try. Definitely worth the 20min drive: juicy smoky ribs, crispy moist fries.. excellent service too! (a small complimentary serving of pulled pork for being first time customers!)

This is the best BBQ place you will find in Woodbridge, make sure you call in advance for table or if you want to order for pick up as is really busy but you won't be disappointment is great BBQ place, and the dishes size are really generous.

Small little place, the kitchen is right there in front of you but it does not bother at all. You see them, you smell them and you taste the ribs like it does not happen at any other place. Personnel is so kind, professional and polite. You'll be back.

If you want ribs this is a great place to go for take out only!!! It's been around for a long time and is in need of a desperate facelift. It's to bad you can't go and eat there as it's really run down. But the ribs are fantastic so we will keep doing takeout!!!!

This is a Hole in the wall. Not very big, not very fancy... what is does extremely well is Food! The Ribs and wings are absolutely fantastic. Perfection has been achieved. They have a smoker and use hickory wood to smoke their ribs and then finish them off on the grill and add sauce. Very affordable for what you get and for the quality. If you don't care about the decor, fanciness, and your main goal is to eat amazing ribs and wings then you will become a regular here. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Ribs are amazing here. Always busy, but its a short wait for tasty food, and portions are big so come hungry. Ribs, wings, brisket, corn bread, combos. a bbq lovers dream restuarant. The staff are always friendly too. They have take out or sit down.

Memphis is a small place with big taste! The owners are down to earth people who care about serving up great bbq. The restaurant is kind of small but they do a lot of take out as well. Fall off the bones ribs, great chicken and tasty caeser salad. Very well priced and very generous portions.

This place has the best ribs in Vaughan, wings are ok. The pulled pork is also a good menu item. The monday specials are always worth the money for food supplied.

Amazing Ribs and Wings. The Ribs are a MUST order if visiting Memphis. They also have several different wing sauces to choose from. It gets busy quick and seats are limited but the food is worth the wait.

I've tryed ribs in many places in Toronto including Toronto Rib Fest but nothing comes close. This place looks like a little dive but don't let that fool you. Be prepared to wait for your take-out order. But worth it.

Visited Woodbridge location on May 31st for the first time. I couldn't decide between ribs or Wings so decided to go for the "Mini Combo". Let me tell you.. Mini is the wrong word. The platter was huge and it was $14. The ribs were succulent and fall off the bone- we got 4 instead of 3 ;)!! The Wings were perfect.. I devoured them! The staff was so kind! 3 of them checked up on us and made sure we had everything, not in an annoying pushy way but in a genuine way! We got there around 8:30 and didn't know they closed at 9, and the staff didn't rush us. They told us not to worry and to take our time. We of course finished up quickly so they could close up. The bathroom was so clean (this is huge for me)!!! will definitely be coming back..
