What a little gem of a place.Table of 4 booked for their friday set lunch.Very good choices and are they were able to cater for my dietary requirements. Top that with a very friendly greeting and pleasant staff made it a day to remember and will go again.

This was our favourite cafe until latest visit. Food and hot drinks now served in plastic and cardboard, and have to order from outside window, even in the rain, sorry, no longer for me. I guess some may like it though, as later in the day, landfill bins outside overflowing with disposable plastic and cardboard cups/mugs and crockery.

We stopped off on the way to London on a Friday night, travelling from Yorkshire. About a mile from Junction 9 of the M1 we were thrilled to see it had parking and how nice the restaurant looked. Service was friendly, drinks and food were amazing! Particularly the age appropriate “shots” for our 12 year old girls. We had 4 veggie side dishes and 4 mini plates. Some of the dishes were new and unusual and we loved them. Highly recommend!!

£10 for a jacket with cheese and beans and side salad, with a sprite, to take away. Would just about be ok if the actual jacket potato was delicious, but it was not. Was very hard and rushed, because it took 20 minutes of the 30 minutes I had to order, prepare and take away. Will not be going again.

Decided to order a Indian takeaway for a change So had chicken tikka as a starter , tandoori salmon tikka with spring rice as main Peshwarri nan Ordered at 7pm Arrived 830 pm Chicken was stone cold Salmon had bones in it Nan bread couldn't eat, again cold Oh forgot the rice. Guess what cold So I thought only fair, give them a "cold" review I will tell everyone I know about my experience, because bad news travels quicker than good news.

My wife and I have visited this garden centre a few times over the past 3yrs ever since we moved a 10min walk away. Never been to the cafe until today. Sunshine out... a walk down and a quick lunch to test out the cafe.. the coffee and quality of food. People tend to review things when they have a great experience or a below expectation one. This experience was way below what we would expect from the nearest cafe to Fairfield Park and the surrounding area. Expecially if you want to be able to recommend it or take family and friends visiting. My wife and I sat outside, had our order taken and proceeded to wait.. firstly to get a cappuccino instead of an Americano, then a coke without ice on a very hot day then the water we ordered never came....and then waited almost an hour before being served our food. So not the quick bite out for lunch. I will allow the time delay on a busy sunny Sunday.. as long as the food makes up for it. It didn't. A greasy cheese and ham toasted wrap, a few plain crisps and a few salad levels for £8.50 was extremely disappointing. No tomatoes...no cucumber! It either needs to tick the value for money box or be worthy of paying that much for. £23 for a coffee, a warm coke and two wraps is poor, should have stayed home and done it myself. I'm writing this review as a local and because I know this is a family run business so it's important you are aware of this experience. As a customer why should I come back? Lastly, there were a number of younger staff helping out, but kept walking past dirty plates on our table. Lots of work to be done before I come back I'm afraid.

Been coming here for years but now has new owners. I wish them well but it’s been modernised and has lost its old seaside charm. Fewer seats inside for cooler days, no displays of quick food to eat. For me it’s just lost its appeal. I’m sad.

I love the potting shed and go there often for a lunchtime treat, but will struggle to return. I dont know what has happened as the ladies serving are normally lovely and the food amazing. The wait for our food yesterday was an agonising 45 minutes with not an ounce of being bothered or a hint of apology from staff. I let them know we were there as required and after about 15 minutes of waiting for our order to be taken i went in to remind them we were there and asked for our order to be taken, explaining i was in my lunch break. A lovely man duly came out to take our order. It took another 30 minutes for our order to arrive, by which time we just wanted to get up and walk out, we were starving and really fed up waiting. It wasn’t busy. We are used to a lovely looking plate of food with a bit of salad and crisps with the sandwich, but when our lunch turned iup it was disappointing. The cheese and onion toastie sat lonely with its bit of green salad on the plate and truly not worth the £9.50 cost. It was nice, but not value for money. Especially after we waited 45 minutes for it without any recognition of the wait. I waited again to pay for an experience i hadn’t enjoyed which added to my frustration. I politely ask the man serving about the wait, i really wanted to have a big moan but held it in. He absolutely didn’t care less saying people had turned at at the same time ( it was not busy at all) and didnt bat an eyelid when he took my £35 for 3 sandwiches a latter and 2 glasses if apple juice. It really hurt handing over the money.
