The Orange Tree in Braintree

Had a lovely evening in the Orange Tree yesterday. The staff were friendly and chatty. The pub, despite having been busy during the day, was clean and welcoming. The food was well presented and well cooked and great value for money. Well done!

Pleasant pub with tasty food staff a pleasure to deal with Sam is exceptional a credit to the green king empire 5 stars if you want good grub with a smile this is the place to be .

Great service and lovely food amazing bar men who served us was brilliant I believe his name was Jordan. Will definitely be returning and bringing friends.

Came here for dinner with my friend and as always it was spot on.was served at the bar by Sam, she is always friendly, makes us feel welcome and gives great service to all her clientele.We both had the hunters chicken served to us by Elisha and it was so delicious, I will always recommend this pub to all my family and friends

Had a lovely meal at the orange tree and some drinks. Food was great value and really tasty. The servers were all lovely and paid lots of attention to my partners young daughter which she loved. They also did children’s sized cutlery which I thought was a great idea! Loved the idea of having sauce bottles on tables too. A very friendly pub and great service from both Sam and Shanice. Will definitely return for both food and drink!

Food was dreadful and raw. Only one member of friendly staff. Slow service food took 45 minutes to come out, one meal was ten minutes after everybody else’s and raw yes raw…. Never will we return here. Get new chefs immediately

Visited with friends yesterday evening. Friendly atmosphere and helpful staff. Food was excellent. Hot, well cooked and prompt arrival. All at a very reasonable price. Thoroughly recommend this pub.

I use this venue on a regular basis as it’s so close to home and never fails to disappoint, I was served by the delightful Sam who is always friendly, professional and is an absolute credit to this pub. I had the hunters chicken which was absolutely delicious, the food arrived quick and I was served by Elisa who did a table check on us to make sure everything was ok. The atmosphere was great, very warm and inviting, infact my whole experience here today from the food, to the drinks to the service was just impeccable and I will certainly be recommending this pub to all my family and friends

We visited the Orange Tree late evening in my husband's birthday. The pub was very busy. There had been a party at one end and the buffet provided by the pub was plentiful and varied. There were tables of happy people many of whom had had meals. The nain attraction was a very good singer/entertainer. The nusic covered a wide range of ages and was very good. It was an excellent evening and the whole atmosphere was amazing. Once again Sam and her team had pulled out all the stops and the service, as usual, was friendly and efficient. Well worth a visit and well done to The Orange Tree!

A very last minute “wake” for a beautiful gentleman for house mates, staff and friends at the care home where he lived. I rang the night before praying that a “Buffet” could be done and “the Orange Tree” accommodated us. The care home is just around the corner and we use the Orange Tree regularly. The variety of sandwiches on the Buffett was delicious and the chips too. Heartfelt thank you to the Chef, staff who looked after us and continue to do so. You’re all wonderful.

Came for a birthday meal. 11 of us. Food was amazing and enjoyable and service and staff amazing too. Thankyou to Sarah and shanice for a great evening. Shall be back.

Our local pub. Good pub food and staff are friendly. I had the Cumberland sausage and mash in a big Yorkshire pudding it was very nice would definitely have it again. We eat eat here at least once a week sometimes more if there are special evenings on.

The food and the service was very good, very quick service and very pleasant and helpful staff and management. Good varied menu and great value for money. I can highly recommend

Having arrived back from our 2 week holiday we went to the pub to have our evening meal. The staff were friendly and chatty asking about our holiday. We ordered food and it arrived promptly and was tasty and well cooked. The pub was busy and welcoming. The toilets were ckean and tidy. The staff came over and checked our meal was ok and asked if we needed anything else. It was a very enjoyable evening. Well done to Sam and the Team.

Come to the pub for a business meeting and had the pleasure of being served by Shanice. Excellent and quick service from all staff, very friendly and respectful! Definitely coming back 100% recommend to anyone that’s in need of a place to hold a business meeting or even going for a few drinks with friends!

Myself, my mum and my niece booked here for our Mother’s Day lunch and it certainly didn’t disappoint, we use this pub on a regular basis and the food and service was spot on. Lauren Smith took our food and drink order after showing us to our table upon arrival, the pub was very busy being Mother’s Day but this didn’t deter Lauren, she was friendly, chatty and very professional in her work and we was given roses for being mums, the food was delicious us having the hunters chicken and the kebab, the whole experience was very enjoyable and Sam and her team were just great, we will definitely be back soon and I would highly recommend this venue to family and friends.

Second visit there (pre-football). Wide selection of drinks, ample TV screens, loads of seating. What makes this pub though is the staff who are all welcoming, friendly and super-efficient. Looking forward to my next visit soon.

Visited for dinner and a drink. Both of us had an excellent meal, (3 course seniors deal) with an accompanying low alcohol old speckled hen. Incredible price ( <£10 per person). Also have to compliment the staff (Sam, Lauren & Stevie) you were all brilliant
