The best restaurants in East Midlands

There were only 5 of us in there at the time. The food appeared on the serving area but the 4 serving staff didn’t seem to notice, eventually the food made it to the table, one fork full in and the waitress asked if all was ok, it seemed ok. The next fork full was cold and the whole dish seemed to be luke warm. Husband’s meal was also just warm. Flavour of the bang band cauliflower was underwhelming. Service average for saying there were so many staff doing nothing.

We have stayed at Redbrick Woodland Lodges and this pub was recommended by them. We loved it, excellent customer service, delicious home cooked food! Highly recommend to anyone visiting the area.

Fantastic meal with my family. We were greeted politely and shown to our table, the menu had lots of tasty options and the drinks arrived promptly. All the staff were friendly, efficient and courteous. A special mention for Tracey, who went above and beyond to make sure we were all happy. We will definitely be visiting again.

Called in before Southwell races, lovely meal, great service, good value. Very enjoyable visit, staff all very friendly made us all extremely welcome. Thank you

I would personally never eat here again! also I've had better meals in prison for free! No jokes hands down the food at this place is actually horrible. Well maybe not that horrible but still pritty bad. 😂

We honestly had the best time at the kings corner. We were able to add the extras we wanted. Kristie / Kristel was fabulous

Food is usually decent pub grub. Service can be a little slow at times when it's busy - the bar staff are pleasant and work hard. A good atmosphere and decent entertainment sometimes

I work for a charity for the homeless in derby and treated all clients to Gerard street fish and chips for Easter, Mario and his family were so helpful, accommodating & even delivered it! All the client’s absolutely loved the lunch it was delicious! We want to Thank you so much for the food & the kindness giving back to the derby community ☺️

The food here was fantastic. Some of the best Italian I have had in a while. Can highly recommend the Manzo Brandy which was steak cooked in a Devine brandy cream sauce. So good I asked for the recipe! Staff were attentive, and even though the restaurant was full you didn’t feel rushed and food came in good time. One not to be missed if you are in the area!

Good garden centre and reasonable prices

Superb place. Good food, great welcoming staff and atmosphere, the perfect local. Everyone here is really doing their best to make this a great place.
