Typical brewery owned pub. Good food, good range of drinks, prices reasonable.

We are regular visitors for a late lunch at the Mundy Arms. We remain regular customers due to the consistency of the food quality. We rarely book and are always accommodated with a table. I would advise booking if you want to guarantee a table of your choice. Staff are friendly and service is prompt. Tracey in particular remembers our usual drinks. It is not often that I bother with reviews but it is credit well earned.

Amazing staff that go over and above to help

Went for drinks and had a great evening,sat outside for a while to enjoy the good weather in the beer garden,always have an enjoyable time here it's our favourite spot to meet and catch up

Complete opposite to my last visit, very disappointing, food was bland, salmon supposed to be grilled but it was just microwaved, salad was all lettuce and jacket potato not the best. Staff were miserable, nobody even asked how our meal was. It's so different to last time that I'm wondering if it's under new management?

What a pleasant lunch me and my friend had today. I have to give 10 stars for the welcoming and attention from your staff, who couldn't do enough. The amount of different dishes on the menu was great, however, it was hard to choose because they all sounded delicious. I chose Lamb Kima and it was! There was plenty and it was well presented. In fact, it could have been a sharing plate. I was too full to eat dessert.

Fantastic service here, the bar are lovely. Always polite and friendly. The food is great, portion sizes are great value for the money, as are the cocktails! Definitely recommend anyone to come here.

Separated into an adults only bar and kid friendly restaurant. Busy times it's a wait to be seated affair, when not busy your can just sit anywhere. Clearly signed whichever it is. Staff are friendly and helpful. Cosy place. Usually busy though. Edit : Used to be a sports pub, thankfully now it isn't. The atmosphere is waaaaay better 👌

Came here for my 40th birthday having visited the week previously. Everything was cooked to perfection, fresh salad and the steak was lovely. My compliments to the chef and bar staff for providing such a fantastic experience.

Went today for Sunday dinner with my family. I certainly won’t be taking them there again. It was truly awful. The vegetables were almost raw, and I’m not convinced it was fresh mashed potato, I suspect it was dried mash. It was served in a strange shaped lump on the plate. The tiny, tiny amount of gravy, which came in the smallest gravy boat I’ve seen, didn’t even wet the bottom of the plate. But the meat was the worst part. We all had the beef. I’ve never had such tough beef in my life. Had it been sliced the wrong way? Not only was it unchewable - it was uncuttable too. My husband wanted to ask for a serrated steak knife, just to cut the stuff. On top of that, our chosen pudding was off the menu. An awful experience. I’ll never forget that roast beef, but for all the wrong reasons! Don’t bother.

Love this place. The staff are all absolutely fab and always accommodate to our needs as a family of 7. Food and drinks are spot on and the prices are great. The place is clean and tidy too. A big thanks to Tracey and the team for making our visit’s enjoyable and relaxed 😎

Always cracking beeakfasts,very friendly staff,always helpful,always go out of their way to get us a table. They are the only pub that seems to pour a perfect pint of Abbot.Top notch.

Myself, friends and family have been coming to the Mundy Arms for years. One reason for this is because the staff are excellent, especially Gina. She is an absolute star who goes above and beyond to make your time at the Mundys pleasant and enjoyable. She is always ready to help you, with her lovely smile and wicked sense of humour. Even outside of work hours the help never stops as her fantastic cakes bear witness to that. Gina, you are one very special lady and a credit to the Mundys.

I've been here quite a few times but after Saturdays visit I won't be visiting again any time soon the meal both me and my husband had was horrible very dry gammon and I had the katsu banquet to much salt and pepper seasoning on the chicken and curry sauce still stone cold had to send it back put me right off

Lovely mix it up sizzler. Hot well presented and fast service. Tues on off £7.50 which is amazing value. Staff particularly Gina behind the bar , and Lyndsey, very friendly and helpful. Drinks are reasonably priced. Good selection on the menu and cater for vegan , gluten free etc . Book at busy times. Will definitely be back thanks👍

Great atmosphere. Great place for food

We travelled a fair distance to this pub we used to have family in the area and the food was always good quality and good value. To say we were disappointed on our last visit is a massive understatement. We ordered 3 roast dinners and one child's meal. The 2 cashew roasts were freezing cold. The veg was all hard, we couldn't even cut through some of it. The roast potatoes were black and dried out, the yorkshires soggy and rubbery and I have never before had to slice mashed potato! The child's meal was at least largely edible, although the carrot sticks had been chopped so long ago they were bendy and white coated from being dried out. The fact that no-one came to the table to ask how the food was speaks volumes in my opinion. Safe to say we will not be returning.

The only thing I can say is that we were both disappointed. The worst meal out this year. My wife had a rump steak that was as tough as old boots and undercooked. You could not cut it with the supplied steak knife. It's times like this you wish you had your trusty angle grinder with you. She also had onion rings that were also undercooked and still doughie. My food was edible but not enjoyable. If you go to eat out and it's a quality place and you leave your food. They will show concern and ask why you have not eaten your food. Not here. No one asked us if we were having a good meal and was not going to clear the table until we were gone. The menue is mainly beige deep fried food full of rapeseed oil. Not healthy food at all. I only gave it any stars at all because the staff were pleasant enough and the atmosphere was OK. Nothing for the food at all.

Took my mum for Sunday lunch , was nice inside staff ok , ordered Sunday lunch , 1 beef , 1 turkey , cauliflower raw , Yorkshire pud like rubber , all dinner was cold . Turkey was like pkt sliced vile all cold again won't be going bk again . Don't no what other meals was like .

We waited a while to be seated and then even longer at the bar to be served. After downloading the APP and ordering through that 2 out of 3 drinks arrived, the other was forgotten. The food arrived and was hot and well cooked.

1st visit to this pub branch , having seen and heard adverts on social media thought we’d give it a go see what all the fuss is about , pleased we did , Excellent service and efficiency especially from the bar staff today, under a little pressure I expect pub was busy for bank holiday weekend , expected a considerable wait time with the food because of this but was pleasantly surprised , service all round and food was excellent, talk about value for money , you can’t buy and cook it at home for these prices !!

Been here a few times, came today waited for a good 25-30 minutes to finally be served & told they aren't doing breakfast.. Wasted plenty of people's times today, couldn't manage a piss up in a brewery, what a joke!

Ive never been spoken to that badly in any place ive ever been. Email will be on the way to head office

We thought we would try this for breakfast , as we have never been to this pub before. We both had a full English with a side of waffles. Very sad to sad it wasn't very good. The sausage was undercooked, the eggs still had raw egg white on top , the whole plate was cold food . The bacon was quite honestly vile . Waffles tasted nothing like a waffle , just like a cold Yorkshire pudding. We were very sad that this was like this . We went to the bar wgere the assistant was helpful, apologised and gave us a refund . We left and went to the Bartlewood lodge which was far better . We won't be back , might be nice as a pub , it looked lovely , but just not to eat .

We come here quite often as it’s very good value for money, but mainly because the staff are so good. They’re always friendly, no matter how busy they are. Especially Lynsey, always makes us feel welcome.

I come up quite a lot and absolutely love it! Plenty of vegan options, menu is great value and quality and the staff are lovely! Lindsey always looks after me and my family when we come in and always makes us feel welcome. Hence why we are back every week (sometimes multiple times a week 😂)

1st time going to the mundy arm's, we normally stay local but disided to go a bit further out for a change.. Easy to find, staff are very friendly and helpful, food was delicious, we all had the burgers of different types, 4 of us and on bogof, bargain , cooked perfectly, service was good and reasonably quick, bit of a drive but definitely worth it, will be visiting there again... 10/10

The meat looked dry & discoloured. It also smelt funny…the morning on the toilet wasn’t a great experience for me or my LO who I shared the meat with.

Not the Mundy Arms I used to know and love. Don't like the new layout. Friday and no fish and chips at lunchtime?? Scampi was OK but not a proper substitute. Not really a criticism of the Mundy Arms, but of Hungry Horse that have changed it.

Went for breakfast Sunday morning. Food was cheap and cheerful, get what you pay for and the breakfast was lovely, kept us going until dinner that day. Would recommend 👍

This is clearly a well run pub. The food is very good for the price and it's clean and welcoming. If you want to see what a badly run kitchen in the same chain is like, visit The Bold Forester in Mansfield. The food there, albeit coming out of the same bags, is disgusting.

Nice little pub and part of a chain so you know what you're getting here. Food was ok and for the price it's a fair deal. I had the mixed grill which was a fair size portion. Steak wasn't overly good and chicken was a bit "wet". But really I'd still say it's as good as the price point. Service was great staff very friendly. Clean pub, rugby was on so all good really.

Great location for local pub, with free, spacious car park. Menu contain pub specials and food is served fairly quick. Prices are great especially if you consider dinner with family. Service is fantastic, our waitresses are always so polite and kind, really doing their best. Atmosphere in general is great. If you consider coming on weekend, you better book as you might struggle to get it in.

Never been in there before for food but was a fab place by far will defo go in again as had party of 8 and food was superb everyone was pleased and wasn't badly priced would defo recommend the quodzilar burger for the big eaters it defeated me.
