Kings Corner in Derby

We honestly had the best time at the kings corner. We were able to add the extras we wanted. Kristie / Kristel was fabulous

We'd had a long walk in the afternoon and fancied a rest and a small beer. The wasn't busy at that time. It was a refreshing break, before walking home.

Great bar service by Kristel & Louise, food was nice and cooked to my liking by Chris & Trevor and was fantastic service with smiles by Macey and Jade, highly recommend

Wonderful food and decor. Delicious food, but a little bit slow coming.

Went for quiz night so booked a table for food, table was ready when we arrived. We ordered food which was delivered promptly even though the were very busy, all the food was very good and is improving in taste and look. All the staff are friendly and helpful. Will be back soon.

We went on Mother’s Day at lunchtime. It was busy but very organized and we never had to wait long for food or drinks. The service was efficient and friendly . I was served by Rebecca at the bar , and she even came to our table to ask if we needed drinks refills . She was very pleasant and cheerful. We really enjoyed our visit .

Portion size was very good, you can tell that it is prepared as it is ordered, and is high quality. Staff are friendly, service is excellent.

Staff are friendly polite and helpful. Theyre always so busy but make time to talk and interact with everyone. Place is always buzzing and happy. We’ve eaten here many times and the food is always lovely and quick. Never have to wait too long and it’s always served in a nice manner

Dirty place with poor standards and tasteless food. I’ve ordered the cocktail which came in the dirty glass, I could see someone’s pink lipstick on it. Do you even wash your dishes? Never again.

We do frequent a lot and always have a good meal. The only negative we have from last night was the pastry on leek and cheddar pie was too hard. The chips however were nicer than those served on Saturday. Apart from that our food was very nice. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Which I think encourages you to go back. They also serve courage directors on draft. Which my dad enjoys.

Popped in for a impromptu lunch on a Sunday. Big carpark with plenty of outdoor seating and play area for children. Spacious inside with plenty of seating. We were able to get a table with no issues and were served quickly. Food was served quickly and was very tasty. I had the Sunday roast cauliflower tart which I would definitely order again. Prices were reasonable and if I hadn't have been so full, I'd have had desert.

Last minute decision to go for lunch, food was tasty & hot. Both meals were good quality. Definitely visit more often now we live a little nearer.

Good service and pleasant staff. Good food at reasonable prices. Beer also tasty. Will return Returned February 25 - again a lovely meal and drink. The southern chicken burgers was exceptional.

We came Friday 21st Feb for lunch I was in a wheelchair the entrance was very easy to get in table was easy to get chair comfortably under very busy pub definitely be back Food was great had to wait a bit as it was busy but it was delicious

The pub was really busy due to a live act performing but the atmosphere was great. Hope they make this a regular occurrence I always book a table and was really glad I did tonight due to how busy it was so would definitely recommend using the easy booking system online.. Staff were friendly as always. There was a bit of a wait for food but Im not going to complain as it was great when it came out and it was a good excuse to have another drink. All in all a great night. We come quite regularly as it’s our local and will definitely keep coming back

Worst Sunday roast I've ever had. Chicken was extremely dry, mash potatoes had a horrid skin like substance on top. The Yorkshire pudding was like chewing cardboard. So overall really poor.

This is a fairly typical Marstons estate pub/restaurant. The food is adequate and well presented. Staff appear somewhat disinterested in customers. The beer choice was unimaginative. Neck Oil for heaven's sake!

Welcoming, warm, good choice and reasonable meals for the price. Disappointed that ordering at the table suggested things weren't available that were which meant two of us missed out on our first choice. Luckily we went to bar when all the desserts showed as unavailable!

I came here with two friends who had never been before and they were really impressed with everything and thanked me for choosing a great place. The atmosphere, service and food were excellent. I didn’t get his name but the man who took our order and served us with drinks needs a special recognition as he gave exceptional great service and was very cheerful, polite and friendly.

Been here a couple of times and have not been disappointed. Great parking, great menu options for both food and drinks. Lovely decor and interior. Great outdoor space (although I have only ever been in winter). The staff I have encountered were friendly and helpful. I ordered the vegetarian chili and it was delicious!! Went with a large group and everyone enjoyed their meals. We were disappointed that we were too full for dessert as their dessert menu looked amazing!! Great value for money too!

Just want to say a big thank you I went to celebrate my 60th birthday they kindly cordoned off an area for me and allowed my family to decorate the area with banners and balloons. But the Staff who were on were fabulous and really took care of us we ordered food which was good as always. The staff who were on were Charlotte, Kristel, and Rebecca I cannot thank them enough for helping make it a memorable evening.

We really enjoyed our family meal today, everyone's food was perfect. The service from Rebecca and Crystal was brilliant, they brought everything out together, chatted to the children and made sure we had everything we needed. The colouring and games for children was a really nice touch and they didn't get bored whilst waiting. The price of our meal was really reasonable considering the quality of our food. We all agreed it was 5 stars for everything and we shall look forward to returning soon. Update: returned for another visit, drinks only this time. Ordered "TABLE" service from the garden. Waited around 30 minutes, they were busy so didn't want to put pressure on them, before going into the bar. Our drinks were sat on a tray at the bar going warm. I said to Rebecca they were our drinks. She claimed a member of staff had shouted over but no one had answered. Told her we obviously hadn't heard, and could she explain what table service was then? She glared at me and repeated "someone shouted!" Didn't feel I was getting anywhere with the conversation so asked if I should take the drinks myself. "Do what you want with them" was the reply. This was in September and I haven't been in since. Used to come alot, but this kind of service loses customers!

It was my very 1st time having Christmas lunch out. I took 2 guess who i help to support and with them not having family it was nice for them. and WOW what an amazing team. We where made to feel like family. All the staff truly looked and appeared happy to be working on Christmas day. The food was to die for. My guess have never looked so happy they said they felt like the King and Queen All food you could tell was fresh and the meat was AMAZING. we all had a different starter and Dessert so we could try each others and WOW again, Your team really pulled out the stops and made it an amazing day for us all.

Popped in the local for a bit of snap. Went with the mixed grill and it was a cracker! 2 pork sausages, gammon, chicken, steak, egg, peas, tomato and chips. Washed it all down with a pint of the kings finest coca cola. What I like about my local marstons is they have started playing music again in the pub and this is what's needed in pubs everywhere, I munched my dinner singing away in my head to take that's never forget! 🎵👌👏

Waited over 15 mins to order food with a waitress behind the bar who ignored the man in front of me and myself. Had to move over to the bar and eventually when it was my turn to be served I had to interject because he was going to serve someone else. When I said I had been waiting 15 minutes there was no apology. There were glasses and plates on tables just left for ages. Clearly understaffed which considering I had book prior as most seemed too, then the company knew the numbers and should have got more staff or not taken as many bookings. Very poor experience I will not be booking again

Food was Tasty😋 Sad that the play area was closed but the kids were alright. Good place to have lunch!

I ordered a Philli Steak Sandwich. The bread was undercooked. There was little steak in it. The cheese was horrible packet faux cheese. No attempt to make it look at all loved. On the plus side, the staff were nice.

It's a great atmosphere and the food has been great whenever we visit

We had pre-ordered the Festive Menu and weren't disappointed. The service was excellent, our waitress Kristel was very polite and helpful and the food delicious with ample amount...top marks to Trevor!

Seven of us went to celebrate a relatives 73rd birthday. It was easy to find, plenty of parking and easy access with everything being on the ground floor. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, the staff polite, helpful, and always smiling. Jade and Chris sorted out our meals, fish and chips x 4, mac and cheese, cheese burger and hunters chicken. The service was fast, efficient, and came with lots of smiles. The staff all seem very happy here, which makes you feel welcome and comfortable. The food tasted great (I forgot to take photos, though), everything cooked just right, plenty of flavour, the portion sizes were generous, and nothing was left. We will definitely be recommending them and returning soon. A truly lovely place, great staff, and fabulous atmosphere.

Our table was next to the bar so it was very loud with people walking past our table all the time we were there. And 2 gaming machines both sides of us.

Soft drinks too expensive!!! A small lemonade 50p more than a 1/2 Stella disgusting!!!!

The food was awful, took ages to get to us and the steak was chewy also the restaurant was boiling hot so it was just an uncomfortable experience

Diabolical Booked a table over a week ago With our dog Went for our booking was booked a table without our dog chased around looking for another table which was directly Infront of a open door they obviously gave our table away tries to have a chat with the manager only to be fobbed off Ended up walking out Suppose to be dog friendly more like dog tolerant and bad place keep your money find somewhere else

After not visiting for a long time we have been twice in last two weeks, food and drink was good and reasonable prices. Shout out to Dylan for going above and beyond. Has definitely seen an improvement under new management and even better that we can take the dog.
