The best restaurants in East Midlands

Visited this morning , they do the best ham salad cob and a lovely coffee to go . Lovely ladies and service 🙂

I adore ice cream so this was a great place for me and my grandchildren. Bonus was the children's play area. We had cornets, and they had gluten free ones too!

We went for Saturday lunch. When we arrived we was told it was a 30-45 minute wait for food the pub was empty. But a few tables sat outside with kids. We ordered something easy. Ham egg and chip. After waiting the time they said our food arrived. The chips was cold and the egg looked like it had been sat for 10 minutes. They had an inflatable assault course for kids in the garden which is a great attraction for people with kids. But I wouldn’t advise going for a meal !! 🤮

What lovely staff. And food was hot tasty the coffee lovely . Reasonably price for what you get. This will be my go to cafe in Ruddington so much better than one close by. Thank you for a lovely breakfast. Dog friendly as well which is a must for me.

Had an excellent meal of steak puttanesca, accompanied by some good wine. Really tasty and well cooked. Highly recommend this place. We will be back. G

food phenomenal the service is very fantastic lady behind the counter is lovely think she’s the owner even offered to carry our food to the car for us first time going here and I will not be going anywhere else ever again good Chineses are hard to come by lately they should open a restaurant

In my opinion way overpriced which was reflected by the amount of customers ie just us! My £6.75 bacon sandwich was OK but my wife's poached eggs on toast had overcooked eggs and rock hard toast. Will we come back, no

Lovely atmosphere, warm welcome from the staff. Coffee had a good flavour and cake was yummy. Dogs were given a biscuit on arrival.

Love the food and friendly people

Lovely cafe in a nice location. Good selection of savoury food and cakes. Lots of vegetarian options. Staff are friendly and welcoming.

So delicious, although our order was wrong it was super yummy!! We got a take out and it was such good value. The gentleman I spoke to on the phone was super helpful. I missed my king prawns though. It would of been a five xx

Went to Woodhall for the day and decided to try the Melrose. I wasn't sure if I was meant to wait for my order when I went in or if they were going to bring it to us as after serving me the server went to someone else without a word to me. The waitress came out and she didn't seem to know what she was doing as she'd got the table numbers mixed up, my partner spoke to her and she completely ignored him even though she knew he was speaking to her. She then tried to be all friendly after I went in and they saw I wasn't very happy with being ignored but it was too late by then. So with that and a pot of tea, a latte and an ice cream for the dog coming to the very expensive total of £9 we will be giving this place a miss next time.
