Booked a table for our friend’s birthday lunch. Had a lovely afternoon here. Good choice of main meals on the specials boards, light bites, breakfasts and snacks on the main menu and good selection of cakes, scones etc. that are being replenished throughout the day. (Even dog treats on sale and plenty of water bowls for dogs). Lovely homemade chips.! This was our first visit and we were told they are doing Sunday lunches and they will do Christmas lunches too, so we will definitely be back!

Very disappointed that this place is not dog friendly seeming it is located in a dog walking area! This needs to be addressed as feel were being excluded for being dog owners!! Haven't had the food here but had a coffee and only offered soya as a milk alternative!

After finally finding my long lost half sister on social media we came here for lunch after visiting our dads grave in Clipstone. Such a wonderful place for food, we came for lunch ordered a ham sandwich with salad and a cheese sandwich with salad, portion of homemade chips and pot of tea for 2. We were expecting a small sandwich and small portion of chips but wow we got a shock. The sandwich was doorstop size with plenty of salad and the chips where beautifully cooked and more than enough. The tea was served in a Royal Albert teapot with delicate teacups. The service was outstanding I would highly recommend.

We visited on a Thursday lunchtime (not in the school holidays) and it was great to see Rumbles so busy! Still a great selection of homemade cakes and fresh wholesome meals. The toasties are a firm favourite every time we visit and it's nice to be back inside with a proper cup and saucer again (after the Covid restrictions have gone).

Nice walk and nice little play park, coffee was expensive and not great, cake was nice £3 a slice and quite a generous portion, then we asked for a child’s tub of Ice cream, when I totted it up as we left I realised I’d been charged £3 for the ice cream it’s a shame as it was a lovely little cafe but I won’t return.

Indoor cafe still not open therefore all food and drink served in paper etc. collection by oneself from an open window you certainly don’t expect to pay such high prices. I have just paid more for a coffee than in a high class cafe/bistro with table service and crockery. £3.30 is way too expensive. As you can understand will not be going there again.

My friend and I had lunch here on Monday. The service is good and the staff very friendly and helpful. The food is good but at London prices! We had a jacket potato each and shared a syrup pudding. We also had between us 3 lattes and 1 tea and the bill came to £29.60. I feel that this is far too high and unfortunately too expensive for us to return.

All served on the finest china . The young ladies who served us were all very pleasant and catered to all our needs. Lots of Tea Coffee and even special coffees .Would recommend it is set in a beautiful location with plenty of green grass and play area for the Children. Very well done to all involved. Visited rumbles after a massive track round vicars water (which by the way is well reccomened) we stopped off at the cafe for a drink and a snack. Firstly dogs are not allowed. At huthwaite visitor centre they are !! Also we has a tea and coffee and 2 cup cakes. The cakes we dry (we fed them to the dogs) and we paid a premium for them. Really disappointed and felt ripped off. Advice to others is go for a cup of tea and take your own cakes. (COFFEE IS DOUBLE)

We were walking in the area and popped in knowing nothing about the place. It provides work for young people with learning difficulties and other issues. The meals were very cheap, as we visited on one of the trainee days, but extremely tasty. Grace, the young waitress was charming and attentive. We had to wait a little while for the food but we were in no hurry and it was well worth it. In particular, the veggie enchiladas were delicious. Very clean and light premises. We don't live anywhere near otherwise this would be a regular place for us to go. Loved the whole experience. Wholeheartedly recommended and very worthy of support.

We chose Rumbles at Vicar Water to host our wedding reception in April. We enjoyed a three-course evening meal with 60 guests. We selected the menus in advance and agreed timings and table lay outs as well as our own touches (decorations, drinks, music, cake). Rumbles ensured that nothing was left to chance and made every effort to make it a special evening for everyone. The food was plentiful and tasty and was served in a warm and professional manner. Dietary requirements were met and babies accommodated. Even the linen matched our decorations! The cafe itself is within a lovely country park with plenty of parking. Inside, it is fresh and light, with good quality tables & chairs, crockery & cutlery, lighting and wood flooring. It really met our wish for a relaxed yet special venue where we could share a good meal together, whilst also supporting an important community project. We were very pleased with our evening at Rumbles and would encourage anyone considering holding a group celebration there to do so. We look forward to returning in the years to come.

I have now visited Rumbles twice within a month with my family as we enjoyed it so much the first time we booked again. The first we visited was for mother's day afternoon tea for a party of 5, where we had a selection of sandwiches, home-made sausage rolls, quiche and cakes with pots of tea/coffee. All the food was really tasty (especially the selection of cakes that included everyone's favourites). It was excellent value at £9 each. We were worried that we wouldn't eat it all but were provided with boxes to take it home to enjoy later. We then visited again Good Friday for the fish and chip special, were there is a wide range of fish options that are served with amazing home-cooked chips! The portions again were generous and excellent value for £6.25.The atmosphere is warm and during both visits the staff and management provided excellent customer service and were friendly, checking we were OK without being intrusive. We have had the same waiter both times and he made an effort to chat and then remembered us on our second visit. Overall, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Rumbles for an excellent value and tasty meal which is supporting an amazing community initiative.
