Cafe 35 in South Kesteven

We love it here, a local business that all locals should support, fantastic food and a lovely team. The sauteed potatoes are to die for. Don't follow the pretend "posh" sheep sipping overpriced coffee and chomping on factory produced foods nearby. Support small businesses.

Again a great meal from Café 35 in Bourne. Great sevice and hot food. Brought daughter for her first visit, she was impressed

I love this place. It's got a cute little garden, the coffee is the best in Bourne and I always feel so welcome. Today I had the "Builders Sandwich" quality sausage, bacon, egg on granary. Perfect and probably the best in Lincolnshire, as is their full English, Vegan breakfast and homemade soups. Best of all are Bethans cakes, especially her chocolate cake. Delicious!

I tried to book a table beforehand by phone and text message but they didn't respond! Maybe they don't take bookings but it would have been polite to have said. We arrived at 12.30pm as online info said they close at 2pm. They actually close at 1pm on a Saturday but said they hadn't got round to changing it but they have a board giving times in the entrance. I was then told that if it's quiet they close even earlier. I understand why they may do that but it's very inconvenient if someone is making a special journey on foot, expecting to have lunch there. Food and coffee were fine.

The best breakfast I have had in a long time, highly recommend there granary bread. Staff can't do enough to help, and even when full the atmosphere is wonderful

Passing through Bourne we stopped there for breakfast and were pleasantly surprised. Two full English breakfasts (one was gluten free) were ordered and two plates of piping hot food arrived shortly afterwards. Staff were very attentive and polite, I would definitely visit again and recommend to anyone

£7.25 for a sausage sandwich. Sausage has been pre- cooked and reheated in a microwave. Not really value for money/Or tasted very nice. Menu states all food freshly made! Nice place and friendly staff

My family and I are regulars at Cafe 35, it ticks every box for me. Excellent customer service, quality produce, Menu for most dietary requirements (with notice I’m sure they would cater for less common dietary needs) intimate setting, clean and lovely fixtures and fittings. Really is a home from home, without the washing up.. Great for families, meeting friends, making new friends or even a visit on your own. Highly recommend Cafe 35 .

We usually attend with 2 adults and a toddler and can’t fault the service at all. More than happy to take our order at the counter as the signs suggest and always met with a smile. Our go to is the breakfast every time! We attended as a family of 4 adults and 2 toddlers on Friday and the service was fast, food was delicious and pipping hot! Cannot fault Cafe 35, Beth and team go above and beyond and it’s super fast service. Biscoff milkshakes are to die for! Thanks for every delicious meal weve ever had x

We stopped here with a group of friends on a cycle ride. Really welcoming and friendly staff along with great food selection . Nothing was too much trouble and delicious when it arrived.

Our first visit - really looking forward to their highly regarded full English breakfast. Sadly we did not get to sample the food or drinks: my son and I sat at a table and perused the menu but new what we had come for. There were two other tables of diners, around six or seven sat at each table and it appeared that only one waitress was taking the orders and serving. We waited nearly 15 minutes for someone to come over - even just to take a preliminary drinks order or, if not able to cope with more than 2 tables, say to us that we would be seen to as soon as they can. But this did not happen - I felt completely ignored. I’m sure, as their reputation suggests, the food and service is generally good, but on this occasion, attention to customers was sadly lacking.

Perfect poachies on a tasty rarebit with a side of home made saute potatoes and side salad delicious! Happy days! Simple food done right!

We came for an English breakfast whilst on holiday. We were staying at hanthorpe nearby. The previous reviews were right. Gorgeous breakfast. Sausage and bacon so tasty. Egg cooked just right. Mushrooms, beans and tomatoes all great too. Fresh bread used for the toast. Staff friendly and place very clean. Very enjoyable thank you.

Lovely place plenty of space around tables, great coffee, nice food (had a sausage and mushroom sandwich on lovely granary doorsteps) and really friendly, prompt service.

I LOVE it here, come often for bruch, lunch, coffee, everything ! staff friendly and atmosphere great. my go to is the vegan breakfast and an iced coffee and often come here with friends or for cake. Best cafe in town ! would pay a lot more for the food too !

Been coming to cafe 35 for over a year now when working from home for lunch, and a lot more recently. Breakfasts and sandwiches are really good, wife recently had the ploughman’s salad and recommends it. The coffee is lovely and there is always a variety of soft drinks available. Thoroughly recommend !

I ordered my wife and mother in law an afternoon tea for takeaway. WOW cafe 35 it was amazing!! They loved it!! I would highly recommend cafe 35. The staff were very friendly and also very helpful especially when I told them my wife has a fruit allergy. We will definitely be back. Thanks again.

Friendly staff , reasonably priced and well prepared and presented .... quality breakfast and nice atmosphere. Shop is quiet small but all had a good breakfast with no complaints. Managed to get the only table for 8 but very enjoyable . Thank you and keep it up.

Lovely Allday breakfast with fresh, good quality ingredients. Staff are welcoming and friendly and the cafe it’s self is unique with different decorations around the place. Very clean with clean onsite toilet facilities. Will be back again next time I am visiting!!

On Tuesday 10/12/19 Bethan and her team gave us a scrumptious 2 course meal. Nothing was too much trouble. Pop in they have a varied menu and cater for all dietary needs. You won't be disappointed 🙂

Cafe 35 never disappoints! The staff are fantastic, the food is excellent and today the staff went the extra mile and made our little group the most delicious Christmas Meal!! The meal was a full Christmas dinner and piping hot, the desert was absolutely delicious and the table was decorated beautifully. Beth, Ellie and Merrick are simply THE BEST!!!

Just finished having breakfast with my little girl. We have been coming here for daddy/daughter Christmas breakfast for the last 4 years, every time it just gets better and better. The full English is cooked with top quality ingredients. We took some cakes home and they are equally delicious. It’s such a nice little place to go and have breakfast. Best in Bourne!

Been to cafe 35 on a few occasions and they never disappoint. Always bring family that visit. Food was freshly cooked, hot and yummy. The poached egg cooked to perfection. Staff are lovely and attentive. Will definitely recommend.

After first visiting cafe 35 nearly four years ago, we have never left disappointed! We started off with our regular weekly visits for breakfast which soon progressed into bringing the whole family. We have always been so welcomed and have always been given the best service.Since becoming a regular over the past few years we decided to try the afternoon tea. Everything was of fantastic quality and tasted delicious! With the coming months we have booked the whole family for the Christmas afternoon tea which we cannot wait to try. Went all the way to bourne for breakfast very cosy place but when we got our food...disgraceful. Egg burnt. Bacon like leather. Terrible. Will not return.

Basically, a quick family breakfast this morning. 2 full English, eggs benedict, and a breakfast muffin. A good choice of things on the menu, good service, good prices, and tasty freshly cooked food. I hate to be of the age that the word ‘quaint’ is used, but it is. Really pleasant little place.

Came across this little café in Bourne on way to Horncastle,Lincs for a light lunch. It was absolutely fabulous. The cappuccino was one of the best I have had. Everything was homemade- beautiful tomato and red pepper soup and fresh chunky bread.Menu was really good. Staff very friendly and helpful. It was so good we stopped on the way back!ca

Nice cosy little cafe, do some nice doorsteps, coffees a bit thin though..!! I did think it’s a bit pricey.

Came in and felt very cosy as i sat down. The cage is clean and well presented with lots of character. Theres an outside area where people who smoke can eat with is a bonus for me. The food it self was good amd the coffee menu was good and of good quality. This place is good for a quick bite to eat or a full plate of food and has excellent home made scones. Overall very good. One little complaint is that it was abit chilli in side. Still very good place to eat.

Visited twice now and I am very pleased with all that this cafe offers. The owners are friendly and the food is really good. A nice range of food and cakes and would visit again and again.

The food was absolutely delicious and the atmosphere was wonderful. Staff was friendly and efficient. I had tomato basil soup with a cheese scone the first time and the second time had a Vegetable melt sandwich. Definitely would recommend and looking forward to going back next time I'm there.

Had my coffee her in the morning. Just fabulous. Nice fresh coffee and a home made cake. After 10 minutes free coffee refill. Great atmosphere and 5 stars service. RECOMENDED

Visit often never have had a bad experience . cakes are all homemade and look fab . Lovely little garden when sunny is great .staff are lovely always make time for a chat.

Have eaten here several times at Cafe 35, and it continues to serve fresh and good food at very affordable prices. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The cafe itself is light airy with an outside seating area at the back. The food is cooked to order with quality ingredients.Perfect for girlie time for tea, or with a partner for breakfast/lunch, afternoon tea and cake. They also cater for people with dietary requirements, nothing is too much trouble.We will continue to visit this place frequently. Please keep up the good work.

I won a cream tea for 2 here for 'liking' on FB. So after claiming my free gift, I wanted to pay for a return trip. I've now returned many times , recommended them and taken friends. Ive never been disappointed, the food is always lovely (recommend their varied breakfast menu) and the lovely staff cater for any dietary requirements. The humorous pavement chalkboard quips are an added bonus. Long may they co nit us, I'll certainly return again and again ....

Stopped here for lunch today and had a gorgeous salad of grilled halloumi and red peppers, was fantastic! Had a lovely homemade cake for dessert. My friend and I were very impressed. Liked the idea that cakes were only for the staff to distribute due to dietary requirements which was very hygienic too. Definitely go again

Visited here last Saturday having heard many positive comments. Food being served looked very nice and well presented. We were only there for tea/coffee and cake which was nice - coffee (latte) could have done with being a touch hotter! Homemade cakes/scones lovely and fresh.The only thing that would put me off in future if it was busy was the seating. Seats in window fully blocked by a pram and only other table seated 8 with 2 already seated at opposite end. We sat at other end but wouldn't have felt completely comfortable if 4 others had sat in the middle.

Dont really want people to know about this place in case next time we go we cant get a table. It is small, it is very clean and the decor is really nice. My wife and I have been twice for a brunch. Both times I have had eggs benedict and it is lovely, problem is I should try something else but probably wont. My wife has had the same sandwich both times, brie,apple and something. It was massive and came with salad. We both had excellent cappuccinos and the bill was about £15 I think. The ladies who work there are lovely and chatty, service is pretty quick and there is a small garden that you can take a dog in although havnt tried it yet due to the weather. Anyway, we love it, we recommend it but dont nick our table as dont want to go elsewhere !!!

Good 'old fashioned' little Cafe you can drop in unplanned and grab a snack or coffee and always get a friendly welcome. They use a good selection of local produce which is always nice to see. Although I have not personally experienced it I do know they do bigger organised dinners and evening events to order if required......so a very personalised little gem to found here!

Popped in for a quick lunch whilst in town. Not the most extensive menu by any means, but some good 'light bites' style things on it. Went for the soup and cheese scone. Soup was a nice spicy tomato soup, cheese scone was delicious. Did take a wee while coming though, and the server almost forgot the drinks. Tables were clean, chairs comfy, loo was basic but adequate.

I am a regular here, the food is honest, unpretentious and locally sourced, the staff are friendly and attentive and you always somehow feel at home here!

Had a great party night with Turkish food and Belly Dancers! What more can you ask for? The staff were great and nothing was too much trouble

Came to Bourne on a Saturday morning for business looked up cafes on phone saw that cafe 35 was in town opens at 8am . Lovely breakfast well presented and a good size clean and tidy inside Beth one of the owners was very helpful couldn't recommend it enough do yourself a favour if your in the area and go there .

Again my family and I visited cafe 35 today for Brunch. There were 2 couples 1 toddler and 1 baby and could not find fault with service,food or seating.This is our cafe of choice and has been since our first visit,not long after it opened.The decor and staff are warm and welcoming,relaxed atmosphere and quality Menu. Love the intimate & friendly feel of the small but perfect cafe. Feels like you and your friends are catching up with a brew at home, only without the washing up!

I had a lovely experience at Cafe 35 last week. It was my first visit and I wasn't sure what to expect but I was not disappointed. I ordered the Eggs Benedict and they were absolutely perfectly made. The staff were friendly and approachable, and overall the whole experience was a pleasure.

Freshly made food to order. Always a lovely big potion. Friendly staff. Very clean and comfy little cafe.

The menu was a little limited, I would have liked to see something like pancakes, however, what I did have was very good. A lovely decor and atmosphere, will visit again

What a fantastic little place this is - lovely staff who frankly cannot do enough to help, food is wonderful and the hot chocolate is to die for! Just the kind of place to go in a town which otherwise has nothing else of a similar high, home style, standard. Would HUGELY recommend.

I was told by a friend that the breakfasts at Cafe 35 were really good so went to try it out. Our verdict, the food was good and tasty. Service was great and the Cafe was nice and clean and decorated really nicely. I loved the special Lincolnshire sausage and my good lady loved the black pudding. I would have scored one mark higher other than we both felt for the price paid we would have received more/paid slightly less

My job regularly takes me on a journey around Lincolnshire and I am lucky that I get to meet some really nice people.I have now called into Cafe 35 for a drink and something to eat - to recharge the ol' batteries as it were a couple of times and can say that I have found the food, drinks, service and overall cleanliness excellent.I would have no hesitation in recommending this lovely little place to you. The staff are friendly and obliging and the prices are reasonable to boot!

Really enjoyed my coffee and cake stop here, and the choice of seating in and out. Staff were attentive and brought the coffee to me, as I sat outside in the pretty courtyard. Great place for meeting friends.

We were taking a walk around the town, looking for somewhere for brunch, we came across this beautiful looking cafe. It's extremely inviting and the decor is beautiful. The service is excellent, staff are very friendly polite and attentitive. Most importantly, the food was very good and great to see peanut butter on the menu, nice size portions too

Popped in for a quick bite to eat with my partner and 2 year old daughter. It was a lovely atmosphere, the food arrived in good time, was fresh and very tasty. Maybe you should have voiced your complaint(s) at the counter to the staff on the day...... I bet you're the type of person that phones the Police when your neighbours music is too loud, instead of just asking them to turn it down.

I have visited cafe 35 on a couple of occasion. On both occasions I have been very happy with the level of service and quality. I have visited hundreds of cafés over the last year and this one is the one I shall remember and recommend. Food is made fresh an also taste fresh. the staff are polite and professional. I would not have any problem is recommendin this cafe.

On ordering a sausage sandwich and coffee I was amazed the find the food was at my table within 2 mins. The sausage was so pale it looked undercooked, it had obviously been microwaved as it had that wet warm meat smell, and the bread was so thin that my fingers almost went through it. I like my sausage browned and the skin to be crisp so that it doesn't reek of sweaty slime. The unfortunate thing was that 2 staff members saw I had left the food and not one asked if there was a problem or why I hadn't eaten something if just paid £3.50 for!! We were the only customers in the place so the chef sat down to breakfast while we sat dismayed we had spent over £10 on essentially 2 coffees! My partner had bacon sandwich and again the bread was cut wafer thin, the bacon pale and fatty. I don't think the chef understands to brown meat is to flavour it.What annoys me the most is the lack of customer service. We were the only customers and out of 4 staff members, everyone pretended that they were unaware I had not eaten my food, and I guarantee eye contact with the plate was met twice. I feel robbed and as I regularly use cafés all over the country from high end to greasy spoons I can honestly say that this is the worst so far this year.

I am a regular to Cafe 35 for both sit ins and take-aways. Always a pleasure, lovely food and lovely service. Today's broccoli and Stilton soup was lovely and served with Gluten-Free bread on request. I can recommend their breakfasts and bistro evenings too as I have been to them on previous occasions. Fantastic cafe that cater for all, including special dietary requirements.

Last time I visted Bourne this cafe was lovely but boy have things gone downhill...I walked in, was somewhat dismayed to see a layer of greasy dust over the glasses sitting on the shelf between the counter and the kitchen and a general miasma of neglect over the whole place. I ordered a coffee, although immediately regretted it as I glanced over to the coffee machine and could see weeks of caked on burnt milk on the nozzle of the milk frother. Then just as I thought it couldn't get any worse the man making my coffee got out a teaspoon for the saucer of my coffee, inspected it, stuck it inside his shirt, rubbed it and put it on my plate. As I'd paid upfront, I simply drank the coffee, thanked evolution that bacteria mostly die at high temperatures and left as fast as I could get out of there. Shudder.

Perfectly good cakes and coffee. The menu calls itself 'Jamie's' during the day.It's a small place and sometimes difficult to find a seat.The staff are very attentive.

This has been my favourite eating place since it opened last year. Fantastic full Sunday breakfasts, the best chocolate cake ever... handmade by Bethan... is truely recommended. The service is friendly and welcoming as is the ambiance and decor of this wonderful little cafe. They were able to cater for a never ending stream of my friends one Saturday evening in September making sure they all felt welcome with plenty to eat and drink. We all had a great time! what a little gem and find this was when we was passing through bourne, we had a late night and missed breakfast where we was staying really enjoyed friendly service and good sized portions great value for money and hopefully might have to come there again soon

This little cafe is an absolute gem . Food is very good and they use bread from the excellent pea-pod bakery . Staff always attentive . Love the eclectic mix of furniture and decor . Hot chocolate is excellent . Will be trying their friday bistro night .

I live in London and visit my sister in Bourne on a regular basis. When she suggested that we dine at Cafe 35 I was not sure how much I would enjoy the experience. I have returned every time I have seen my sister! The family team who runs this cafe are amazing. The food is fresh, excellent and well delivered. I am vegetarian and they can not do enough to ensure that I have a delicious meal each time I visit. In fact the family can not do enough to make the experience the best possible. If you do not know about Cafe 35 or ignore the opportunity, you are really missing out! This is not a licensed restaurant but when you bring your own alcohol it makes it a very good value evening.
