In my opinion this coffee shop is high up on the list of places to drop into. I had fresh scrambled eggs with oodles of smoked salmon on toast, and they served it up exactly as requested. All with a smile. The place is buzzing with people, but I never felt rushed to move on, even though my visit was on a Friday morning market day. Fully recommended for friendly welcoming service, and great food.

Nice little cafe, but was very disappointed that every cake was gluten free, and after trying one it was bland and disappointing. The service is always lovely, but the downstairs sometimes has a bad smell

Staff were very friendly and helpful, Goood selection of cake and drinks. Seating indoors and out. It was lovely to sit out and admire Stamford in Bloom. Nice clean facilities.

First time in here, food was lovely me and my friend both had ham and cheese toasties, great value and service, will be back when we visit stamford again

Great little coffee shop. If the weather is good, sit outside and there is a little canopy covering most of the chairs and tables. Order inside at the counter, give them your table number, and everything is brought to you by smiling, friendly staff. If you get a chance, try the indulgent waffles. Whipped cream, ice cream, chocolate sauce, and all of it without being too sickly. 😋 Lovely treat.

Took four of my German friends for their first Full English breakfast at Frothys on Saturday. Absolutely fantastic experience, great quality local products which not only looked great but tasted delicious. The service as expected was almost instant! A big thanks to Richard, Louise and their great team. Brilliant! 👌👌

Great breakfast and always top quality polite service

We visited Stamford on a Tuesday afternoon so the high street wasn't busy (just as I like it!). My partner and I generally go to a Costa as we know what we are getting, but spotted Frothy Coffee. My partner is Lactose and Gluten free so it is sometimes a gamble if this can be catered for. The staff were welcoming and friendly and we had a nice chat about the gf and lf options. I had an oat latte with a marshmallow and chocolate slice, my partner had oat latte and an under the counter flap jack..which I had a nibble at. Highly recommended for a coffee and a sweet snack if your thinking about an alternative to the mundane corporate coffee shops..just give the owner a nod and a wink when ordering his gf/lf flapjack!

Good breakfast! I can't use/digest salt, so the eggs were served too salty for me, but the poached eggs on bloomer toast with mushrooms were otherwise yum and a good plateful. Very polite, welcoming and pleasant chap, very helpful. I had a marimba dark hot chocolate which was really good. Nice, airy cafe with more seating downstairs and has plenty of outdoor seating to the front on the pavement, some under awning. Yep, very good food. Can recommend and would revisit.

We visited Frothy’s again this weekend and it was as good this time as it was the last. We had a full English Breakfast and an Orange juice. Delicious, thank you

we stayed in Stamford for 4 days and ate breakfast each morning lovely, friendly and welcoming staff and great freshly cooked food

The food never disappoints, neither does the service. I had the most delicious quiche and new potatoes with a mug of tea and my dad had a full English which he said “was the best”. They were very busy, because they are so popular and we waited 30 mins for our food (they told us there was a wait) but they also insisted we had a complimentary drink on them because of the wait , so we enjoyed a very large pot of tea after our meal. I really love this place, Stamford is blessed with so many lovely places to eat but Frothys always feels like a big warm hug .

Rude owner moaning about a historical fair been there longer then they cafe has Edit.. post your comments on your personal profile then not a public page shaming the fair which actually brings people into town..

Had a lovely time having afternoon tea with a glass of prosecco. Sandwiches were fresh and very tasty and the cakes were divine. Service, as always, was excellent would highly recommend! Thank you Frothys, you made our afternoon very special

First trip to Frothys, visited Stamford for the day and what a gem, we will definitely be back! The staff were so friendly and polite. The place is lovely and the food was competitively priced and delicious. When we are in Stamford we will definitely return

Often visit. The Mocka coffee and scones are delicious. Lovely service, reasonably priced and always feel welcome. Enjoy sitting outside in the warm weather and downstairs the seating is cosy and comfortable.

I came in for breakfast, sat down, chose what I wanted from the menu, put it down and waited,..for ten minutes and nothing happened. If customers are expected to order at the counter that should be made clear, two waitresses walked past me, the restaurant was half empty and there were plenty of staff. If you don’t offer table service that should be made clear by signage or write it on the menu. This is the second time this has happened to me this week in two different places. I walked down the street and was served straight away in Cafe Black, so I will go there in future.

Took a while for the food to arrive, but the salmon eggs benedict was outrageously delicious! Worth every second

Popped into Stamford for a family afternoon out and wanted something for lunch. Sat outside and had a beautiful homemade tomato and chilli soup which was simply perfect. They also catered to our son’s dairy allergy by being able to provide dairy free butter for his toast. The coffee was also a perfect temperature and very smooth.

Friendly, helpful and quirky, especially Gillikins!

It's been some time since I was last in this place it was when it was called Paddington's. We sat at the table near the counter and was greeted with a warm smile and the information that it was table service. So we sat down and made ourselves comfy. Looking at the menu I would have liked a good old bacon butty but that was cooked between the hours of 8am to 11am, but then again I never asked if they would cook me that out of their stated times. It was around 13.45 hrs that we had sat down in Frothys Coffee Shop there wasn't that many customers sat down, we first ordered two lattes which didn't take long to receive and they were very hot and a good coffee strength we looked at there menu for sometime as I have food issues because of having been through chemotherapy some years ago but that's another story. My wife and I thought the prices a weebit high but after ordering, my wife had baked potato with cheddar cheese & homemade coleslaw and I had a toasted bacon, chicken, lettuce and tomato with mayonnaise. I must say it took a bit of time to get what we had ordered but in the end it was definitely worth the wait and the price as it looked fantastic and it tasted even better. Too finish this off we had two more lattes which went down just as good as the first two. The female waitresses seemed very friendly and polite, my wife & I would definitely go to Frothys Coffee Shop again. Would recommend. Also credit to the Chef working in what looked like a small kitchen and producing great food .

Visited Frothys this morning for breakfast and chose the smoky bean hash with mushrooms and the smoky bean hash with ham. They were both delicious and such unusual items to see on a breakfast menu. Staff were amazing as usual and the drinks perfect Lovely experience as it always is whenever we visit Stamford.

Came to visit Stamford from Cheshire. Frothys was recommended to us by friends and we were not disappointed. I had the Steak & Stilton Rarebit with house salad and it was done to perfection. My son enjoyed cheese on toast with a nice cold Apple juice. Love atmosphere with very friendly staff. Could not recommend enough. Picture included.

Myself and my family visited Frothys from Crewe. You are greeted by warm and friendly staff that are prompt to take you order. Service was second to none very attentive and efficient. Food hot, tasty and delicious. Great selection of hot and cold drinks. If you are passing by make sure to pop in. Highly recommend.

Really enjoyed the food here and the waitress was lovely

The staff are all helpful and friendly, as usual and the coffee hot and tasty. However, this visit was quite disappointing in other respects: The prawn salad was OK but no tomatoes, croutons or anything interesting in it and expensive at over £10, just lettuces and a bit of cucumber.The cheese and ham melt was fine. The table outside was at a ludicrous angle: so much so that my husband’s knife fell onto the floor and the coffees were at a dangerously sloping angle. The waitress came out to fix the table, couldn’t do anything at all with it but then said it was level. My husband almost fell over when he tried to stand up but I managed to catch him in time. The smell as you go down to the toilets is appalling. It’s never been like that before. The loo itself was clean though and didn’t smell. May give it another try sometime but unimpressed today.

Went here for coffee and a cake as it is top in Trip Advisor. There are table outside plus some on the ground floor and more in the basement. Inside it it is table service and our order was quickly taken. We ordered flat white coffees and a piece of the glazed banana cake. They came reasonably quickly. The flat whites were quite large and the coffee wasn’t the tastiest. The cake was quite large but there was no sign of bananas and I wondered if it was made with banana essence. Staff were friendly and doing their best but it wasn’t a good cafe.

My favourite cafe in Stamford, plenty of tables, always good food, very friendly. The toilets are downstairs, so not wheelchair friendly. I usually sit downstairs myself.

A place of pilgrimage when we come to Stamford - a fabulous cafe offering with quirky cakes and twists on familiar favourite coffees, teas and shakes. Friendly and enthusiastic staff, and a warm and rustic woody surround. Tables outside for people-watching, upstairs and down inside for cafe chatter, or settling into the sofa.

I always visit Frothys whenever in town because I particularly enjoy good old fashioned service with a smile and fantastic food and drink. I had the specials homemade soup of the day, it was lovely and thick and served with fresh chunky bread and butter. The rest of the family had hot rolls and full English. Highly recommend. Good value, and delicious. Thank you Frothys.

Best cafe view in grange! Top coffee and croissants

Good range of food and drink. Very friendly and helpful staff. Plenty of seating indoors and some outside too. NB We went here because it came up on Google Search as dog friendly. However, only assistance dogs are allowed inside.

Popped in on a recommendation and will now make this a regular place to visit. We love to support the independent shops and restaurants and Frothys makes it a pleasure to do. Great food,great atmosphere and lovely service.

I come here every time I am home. They really do have the Best coffee around, homemade lunches and fresh sandwiches. Super chilled compared to the rest around and staff are always friendly. Would highly recommend.

I have been coming here for years and love the food but I will not be returning now because of the rudeness of the man in the kitchen, and on more than one occasion too, assuming he is the owner. What a shame indeed. The other staff are lovely I must add

Quite traditional on first impression, but some unusual and delicious food combos, excellent “old fashioned” service (ie: the customer is most important!), scrupulously clean and overall just great!

We only had a tea and a coffee so difficult to make much of an assessment. The service was good and the personnel very pleasant and welcoming. The only down point was the regular banging noise coming from behind the counter and from the coffee machine. We were sitting upstairs so for a more quieter atmosphere I suggest taking a table on the lower floor. The cake looked really tempting so a good place to meet and chat subject to the above.

Popped in here by chance for a hot drink and a slice of cake before seeing a show and was really delighted with our little find. Staff were super efficient and polite and the drinks and cake we had were delicious! Liked this place so much we’ve been back twice since. Would love to see it expanded! Highly recommended.

An excellent, privately owned coffee/tea shop. The staff are very friendly and take your order at the table. Clean, comfortable and cosy atmosphere. So much nicer than the big chain coffee shops that are taking over the high street. I would definitely recommend a visit.

This place is special. The food is excellent, the coffee is some of the best I have ever had and the service is off the chart. I absolutely love this place to bits and would recommend it with all my heart.

Called in to see a friend and such a lovely day we went into Stamford town. Pretty place with plenty of cafés and decided on Frothys. Lovely coffee and cake selection was an impossible choice.

A nice place, but i got told to get some manners because i used their PUBLIC toilet without asking.

We always stop here when we are going to stay with friends in Cambridge. You always get a warm welcome from the staff, the food is very good and my Husband loves the coffee.

Friendly and good coffee and food

In Stamford at lunchtime and decided to have lunch at this coffee shop. The service was friendly and quick and both my husband and myself enjoyed our lunch. I had a steak sandwich with mushrooms and a small glass of wine. He had a cheese and ham toastie with a coffee. Both came with salad garnish. The total bill was £24.60.

Had a lovely lunch here, jacket potato and an absolutely fantastic caramelised onion and smoked cheddar quiche. Very generous portions and quiche came with buttery new potatoes and salad. Got a milkshake and a smoothie as well all for 20 quid! Absolutely fantastic food, would love to try their range of cakes and scones which looked lovely and definitely home made! Will definitely return for some more lovely food!

Enjoyed a very nice vegan hot chocolate best vegan hot we have ever had. The service was excellent.

Staff friendly but waited 20 minutes after ordering for two flat whites (which were what we would call lattes).

Lovely independent Coffee shop with outdoor seating, a main area and a quiet downstairs area ( looks downstairs). Quickly served at table and order arrived promptly. I had Decaffeinated tea and a lovely jacket potato with Tina mayo( comes with an undressed salad). In a side street in lovely Stamford. You may need to LOOk for it on market days as it could get partly hidden by market stalls. Reasonable prices.

The coffee shop advertises itself as being dog-friendly. We went for an afternoon coffee about 4pm with our dog (in his dog stroller because he is a senior citizen). The owner watched us carry him in, inside his stroller, sit down, look at the menu...

We have been to Frothys on numerous occasions and each time it's excellent, the service is always fast friendly and efficient despite being absolutely full which seems to be the norm. The food is excellent and I especially recommend the quiche, packed with flavour and...

My in laws love this coffee shop and we've always liked it but never really got the fuss, until recently staying for an extended period, we have had some really lovely food here. It's so totally understated, even on the menu the dishes don't sound anything like as nice as they are. Such great dishes, real variety. Some healthy, some more indulgent. The ordinary menu is extensive and exciting and varied along with the ever changing specials board, I was very impressed!

Considering Stamford is surrounded by nouveau riche this coffee shop has kept its feet firmly to the ground. Had a great snack and drink. Perfect for a comfortable read.

Shared a lovely afternoon with my brothers and sister , the atmosphere and servise was first class and the food was scrumptious , with plenty of hot tea and coffee on hand , a must place to visit.

A lovely coffee shop with a good variety of cakes, sandwiches, choice of breakfasts etc. They also offer gluten free and vegetarian options. Located on a lovely street with lots of different shops and beautiful old buildings. Stamford is an amazing place. It was like being on holiday, a jewel in Lincolnshire.
