The best restaurants in East Midlands

This is the best cafe in Desborough. Lovely homemade produce that’s looks delicious you will be spoilt for choice. Superb coffee and the staff are smiley and welcoming. The sausage rolls are perfection!

Tonight I experienced Chatsworth chippy. I have lived in Fleetwood all my life 45 years, and I honestly have never tasted such beautiful Chippy fish in my life from anywhere in the country, It was truly astonishing, out of this world brilliant. The food was by far the best I’ve ever had. It was genuinely 100% perfect. The batter was dry and crispy and the fish was so fresh and meaty.I couldn’t ask for any more.,If you are the owner reading this, you should be so proud. You’re doing an amazing job. Thank you from your new customer. Keep up the good work!!!

Really fantastic night out where you can be part of the buzzing area in the front or have a cosy sit and listen in the back area. Nice patio area to sit out the back. Very welcoming, very reasonably priced and good friendly regulars that are welcoming. Lots of live music and open mic nights. Deffo coming back daytime to try out their amazing menu 5⭐️

The cafe always seems to be shut. We have tried to visit numerous times but always shut. They do not seem to have regular times when it is open.

We went for breakfast and can't fault anything. Really good prices, very nice food cooked perfectly and most impressive was the friendly service. The place itself was comfortable and felt spotless which you don't always get in these places. Will be returning.

Quality of food was good although overpriced for what you get. However what ruined it was the staff. Unfortunately all you could hear was the staff moaning and complaining about each other, followed by one of the chefs who kept coming downstairs to flirt with the girls behind the counter and mess about. Not very professional considering it’s a nice place. One of the girls poured the wrong wine and the drinks took far too long to arrive considering how many staff were behind the counter.

The pistachio baklava is to die for. Fresh, full of flavour and goes down a treat. Fresh ice cream inside the baklava tops it off. The syrup is not too strong either so it's a nice filling dessert.

Stopped off on way through, and found this gem of a place, I really would recommend a visit, it truly is a gem, food is excellent and service is superb. We had Eggs Benedict and a BLT, it was lovely and made to your liking, superb. Keep up the great food guys if you read these.

OK so my partner and I came here a few weeks back for the first time and just had a coffee. Cant fault this at all, staff were lovely and the coffee was great and the place is really clean and nicely decorated. So we went back this week and thought we'd go here for a date lunch as we love Italian food and wine. The menu options were not great to be honest. We were expecting lovely homemade Italian bistro food but it was mainly French, omelets and sweet dishes. There were no lovely Italian breads, oils or olives even. The food we did ask for we were told was not available so we thought OK, let's just have fries and a drink. Couldn't believe it, it was so quiet and it was lunch time, only to be told there were no chips. Really disappointed, we really wanted to like this place as the coffee was awesome but the food was just a major let down unfortunately.

I had been recommended Daawat by a family member and wasn’t disappointed at all. The atmosphere was great and the staff are very attentive. Everyone is very kind and helpful. The member of staff serving my friend and I was very polite and helpful with helping us order something we would like off the menu. I have been twice now and will be back again. The portion sizes for the curry are great and prices are reasonable. Thank You :)

A selection of cheap cocktails with a young crowd - this place would be good for students. This spacious venue could accommodate large groups or casual drinks. I didn't see a smoking area but you can pop out the front.

Absolutely amazing steaks on stones with delicious garlic butter and home cut and cooked chips (like mom used to make)!! Highly recommended - will definitely back 👍

Had a lovely lunch with beautiful home cooked food and cakes with such friendly staff. Was made very welcome and wish that I lived nearer to visit again such a gem of a place.
