Thyme Bar and Kitchen in Hinckley and Bosworth

Stopped off on way through, and found this gem of a place, I really would recommend a visit, it truly is a gem, food is excellent and service is superb. We had Eggs Benedict and a BLT, it was lovely and made to your liking, superb. Keep up the great food guys if you read these.

Visited today for the first time . Great food- quality ingredients, cooked and presented really well. Coffee also excellent . Nice atmosphere and dog friendly .

Popped here for breakfast with my wife. Fantastic place, brilliant vibe and great food. Will visit again and can’t recommend enough. Owner even let me pick vinyl to listen to over breakfast.

We were looking for a place to have lunch in Market Bosworth,myself,my daughter, son and granddaughter. Walked into Thyme as we had seen good reviews. Walked straight out. Filthy!!!! I was shocked!!!

Popped in on a Saturday for firstly a coffee and a board game and then a craft beer and sandwich for lunch. Friendly welcome and great music on the record player, Simon and Garfunkel and then Nirvana Unplugged. Food and drinks were nice and good value. Hope to return when next in the area. A little disappointed to miss the dog!

A very welcome change to the uninspired chain environments. A great start with Nirvana acoustic set lp playing in the background followed by a 'proper' flat white and a beautifully prepared and presented late breakfast. Will definitely be returning. Owner & staff deserve success.

If you like real beer, craft beer, something different from the usual mass-produced rubbish this place is well worth a visit. It's small and friendly, owner is very welcoming, there's usually three or four different beers to try. There's tasty food as well - The full breakfast is excellent, Eggs Benedict ticked all the boxes and my mate reckons the sausage sandwich was the best he'd ever tasted!

Myself and a work colleague were roaming Market Bosworth in search of a good hot breakfast when we were directed to this place. We almost walked straight past as the signage isn't the best to be honest.We wondered in and were greeted by a human and a very friendly dog which was great as I love dogs! I ordered two Thyme fry ups and a couple of hot drinks. We found somewhere to sit in this cosy little place, fussed the cute dog some more and breakfast arrived quickly! The food was perfectly cooked to my liking, really well presented and tasted delicious! Not your usual greasy fry up ! But a carefully prepared traditional English breakfast. We both cleared our plates, fussed the dog some more and left that little happier ! I was so satisfied I told the wife about it when I got home and said I would take her for breakfast one morning.Thanks to all who we met and I shall be back.

Visited today with my wife after staying at the nearby Bosworth Hall. After carefully considering the hotels selection of mass produced heat lamped scran at £12.50 a plate we decided to walk into town & find an alternative & stumbled across Thyme. Can only speak to the Sausage sandwich but my word it was incredible. Perfectly cooked bit of spice absolutely amazing. Almost booked another night at Bosworth hall to get a room with the sandwich. Friendly staff as well welcome feeling top work 14 out of 10

I visited this Bar whilst on a weekend away. I absolutely loved the atmosphere and decor. The staff were absolutely amazing and very hospitable. We had thee most amazing breakfast there, freshly cooked with a unique style and twist ! A must visit!

Cute little cafe in the middle of the town. We have been several times for the full English breakfast and each time received a perfectly-cooked, toasty hot, delicious breakfast. Nice friendly ambiance about the place, great service and coffee is very good, too.

A friendly welcome to an innovative cafe serving delicious food with an imaginative selection of beers by a local man who has returned to MB after trotting and sailing the globe while rubbing shoulders with Michelin men and cooking for demanding guests!

Planning a day at twycross was looking for somewhere for breakfast and what a find it was , thank you trip advisor. Lovely, fresh and tasty food .

Market Bosworth probably didn’t know what had hit then when we all rocked up for my hen. The staff here were so accommodating and kept the cocktails and fizz flowing. We ate across the way and the plan was to return later on however I was sadly put to bed at 1030am - too many cocktails eh. We returned for a fab brekkie the next day too.

After a day out at the Bosworth battlefield, we were struggling to find a place open to grab a late lunch, but Thyme saved the day. Lovely chicken wraps, and loved the Siren beer on tap!

We visited this cafe/bar to kick start our family hen party off and had pre-ordered some cocktails. The staff were so obliging and friendly and really got into the spirit of the occasion, they even gave my daughter a complimentary bottle of champagne!. We had a great night and went back for breakfast the next day - everyone in the hen party was smitten and have fallen in love with the Thyme Bar cafe - a must for your visit to Market Bosworth.

My wife and myself have visited Thyme on a couple of occasions and have received excellent service from the very friendly and accommodating staff.It has a very good selection of craft beers and the guys can knock up a mean cocktail too all at reasonable prices. The place has a buzz about it ,and it’s unique in it’s approach to packing so much into a small area yet still retaining a great atmosphere. After reading all the positive reviews regarding the food we are looking forward to eating there soon.

Visited for the first time last Friday morning for a late breakfast with my husband. My husband had scrambled eggs and I had a vegetarian version of eggs benedict (not on the menu, but the staff are very accommodating). Both were delicious. We both love our real ale and craft beers and were delighted to see that Thyme had started serving a range of these. We ordered club Tropicana but it was the end of the barrel so we were given almost half a pint for free. The chef and lady who runs front of house seem to be the owners and both were really friendly. Really impressed with this place and will make it a regular feature of future trips to Bosworth.

Met with a friend and we decided to have breakfast She order bacon sandwich and initially I was disappointed and surprised to hear that they did not offer a veggie sausage option. The lady offered avocado smash on toast which I went for. Oh my goodness thank goodness no veggie sausages. Without doubt the best avocado smash that I have ever had. Came with tomatoes and spinach with a delicious tangy vinaigrette dressing. Delicious coffee too.

Having never stayed in Market Bosworth before we set off on a Sunday morning, using Trip Advisor as our guide. We were in the doorstep for opening at 10am. Greated by friendly enthusiast staff. A good selection on the board for both food and drinks. We ordered our drinks and Eggs Benadict and a Poached Egg on Avacardo. Both the wife and I are in our 40s stop in lots of hotels and have eaten lots of breakfasts and we both agreed this was in the top 3 ever....... and will even have another weekend near by so we can visit again..... great music , great vibe and great staff. It also has real ale on tap and looks like a great place to spend an evening...maybe next time.

Love this cafe.. everything is freshly cooked , homemade and delicious! Portions are very generous and staff are extremely helpful and obliging - great value!

This place is worth visiting Market Bosworth for alone, We wanted to pick the building up and move it to where we live.

Fantastic evening with great music. You must try the Blood Orange Gin. The owner is brilliant loads of time for everyone - Still genuinely nice people still exist. If you miss the evening then he is open the next morning for coffee and food etc,.

I wanted to have a coffee from Thyme when we were visiting last November, had to wait five months, but was worth the wait 😊

Visited yesterday with my wife and two girls, 7 and 4. Their age is relevant because trying to get kids to eat their meals is a constant challenge. I had an open wrap with smoked salmon, avocado, tomatoes, spinach and spring onion. It was delicious. My wife and eldest had smoked salmon and scrambled eggs and I've never seen my daughter devour a plate of food as quickly. All in all very nice, good atmosphere, great coffee and a wonderful lunch. Well done!

Visited the Thyme Kitchen and we found it to be modern and contemporary place and menu and playing vinyl music. Th breakfast was very fresh, tasty and zingy with a perfect sausage, absolutely delicious.

The outside of the cafe is very appealing which prompted us to go in for drinks and cake on a shopping trip. The staff were pleasant but service was very slow. The cake was served well after the drinks and was abit dry. My coffee was good but my friends teapot was dirty as was the inside of the tea cup. The table was sticky and the place felt rather grubby overall. As a door had been left open,we had a full view of the toilet during our visit too.

Great quirky place. Lp’s playing in the back ground on the record player. Interesting menu. Coffee was lovely, staff friendly. Millionaires slice was delicious. The courgette and avocado cake the icing was a little too sweet. Prices were just right.

Visited here with our granddaughter. Made to feel very welcome and the food was excellent, sausage and chutney on a ciabatta roll - lovely. Good atmosphere with 'vinyl' playing in the backroom. Food costs approx. £5. Warm friendly and worth a visit.

We popped in here for lunch this week and it was one of the best full English breakfasts I’ve ever eaten! Beautiful AND delicious! Lovely staff, highly recommended! Just sorry I didn’t take a picture.

I visited when it first opened and thought what a nice addition to Bosworth... a modern cafe with lovely choices... the soups were really tasty.

I popped in here after a walk around Market Bosworth. Fairly small place, but seating at the front but then additional seating to the back too.

Really liked this cafe when we called in soon after it opened. We often walk in the Market Bosworth area so it was a good addition. Really sad to see the place now. Popped in for coffee today. Could do with a good tidy up and clean. Mouldy (non-food) items in window. Even the (admittedly 5 star) hygiene sticker was mouldy. Christmas decorations either still left up or dumped around and not properly stored away. Hand washing and drying facilities in the WC were terrible: one damp, manky-looking flannel-sized towel in WC, dirty wash basin. Unimpressed. We wonder why it is that Market Bosworth doesn’t have the cafe it needs and deserves, one that can also maintain its standards.

I have just moved into the area & this stop is a must visit weekly. It has a great vibe (vinyl only) and great food & drinks. The owner & staff our really genuine. There are a 1000 things I like about having this as part of my footpath...Thanks! I’d recommend it to anyone :)

Great little place, only coffee and cake left by the time I arrived. Awesome collection of old vinyl albums which anyone can play.

Visited this cafe for the 1st time today and had a delicious, generous portion of smoked salmon and scrambled eggs .....service was second to none ...friendly and caring .....will definitely return

We had breakfast at a very reasonable price, with excellent coffee. Many locals dropping in throughout our stay. Ocassionally someone placed some vinyl album on the turntable and just as often someone else would turn it over. Prog rock I suppose you'd call it. Good fun but not loud enough to stop anyone talking or drown out the conversation.

Very individual little place run by young people. Very good coffee and breakfast, full of dogs and local people who know each other. Much nicer than a hotel buffet if you can squeeze in here! The night before, it was heaving with a private party - it seems to be quite a social centre.

Friendly staff. All day breakfasts are scrumptious and excellent value.I recommend the smashed avocado although the traditional breakfast with own recipe beans is very good.

Thought it was a vintage shop at first (LP playing on a turntable!) but then saw the blackboard! We had the full English Fry Up which was not only perfectly cooked, but beautifully presented. Gorgeous little roasted cherry tomatoes sitting in delicious field mushrooms, home made baked beans, perfectly cooked egg, bacon & sausage all underscored by a few leaves of wilted spinach. It tasted as good as it looked and looked as good as it tasted!

So happy we found this place for lunch on our girls weekend away. They made a vegan wrap for me. It was so fresh and delicious. Very friendly. Would highly recommend. Small menu but well worth a visit.

Popped in with 3 teenagers for breakfast and its amazing. Staff are really friendly and the food is absolutely gorgeous. The atmosphere is so relaxing. For a small venue it has a huge personality. Will definitely be going back again when passing through this area.

Hip little cafe just off the market square with friendly staff and good food. This new venture is great value and great fun. An unexpected addition to the village food scene.

Went there on Friday for the second time and had English Breakfast ...delicious with a little twist. The time before I had the Smashed Avocado ..again delicious and my niece said the Eggs Benedict was one of the best she’d ever had......great plaice and great music......oh and the coffee was very good quality.

Great breakfast and the two lads accommodated my vegetarian mate by adapting the full English to a full English veggie breakfast without fuss or bother!! Great eclectic selection of music from the record player!

Distinctly non-stuffy, relaxed vibe with reggae on the wheels of steel and smiles everywhere. Coffee and food were both superb, I can see myself visiting regularly. I reckon the staff would do their utmost to accommodate customer's requirements, they're just the right type of people to be welcoming you in, simple as that.

We visited this cafe after reading that dogs are allowed inside. What a find!

Having eaten at Bosworth Hall the previous night there was no way we were chancing the pre paid breakfast there, so upon a recommendation we ventured to Thyme. The staff made us very welcome, the food was great - try the fry up with homemade beans - lovely time/Thyme had by all. Loved the scrabble pieces, kept us amused

Lunch was so delicious that we had to compliment the chef . Visited next day with friends who also were blown away by the seasoning and flavour of the meal . Staff could not be more friendly and obviously love their job . If you are anywhere near make it a definite visit

What a wonderful surprise! Delicious Portuguese fish soup followed by corvette and avocado cake. My hubby had the tomato and chick pea soup followed by beetroot and chocolate cake. Great choice of gluten free, vegan, veggie and everyone. Helpful and friendly owners. Support the new venture. Need more places like it- and not extortionate either. Thoroughly recommend

Situated a short walk from Bosworth Park, Thyme is a god send for dog walkers as your furry friends are welcomed, so long as they are well behaved. Quality coffee and a selection of delicious food on offer too. Great café in the centre of Lovely Market Bosworth, another reason to visit this pretty place.

Quality cooking, lovely atmosphere and people. Had a very happy hour with my daughter having a fantastic breakfast, chatting and messing with the scrabble pieces. Cafe and chef’s cooking were highly recommended to me and I agree 🙂

While staying at Bosworth Hall Hotel we went for cake and coffe to this lovely vegan/vegetarian cafe. They serve very unusual but tasty coffees and gluten free delicious cakes.

After a very cold dog walk finding Thyme was like heaven ! They allow dogs in which for us was fantastic and the atmosphere and food is excellent.

This newish cafe was recommended by a shop owner over the road.

We had a quick caffine stop whilst staying local and it's a hidden gem! Has lots of special dietary cakes etc and will.make anything they can meet your needs.

This cafe had delicious vegan cakes and is one of the friendliest, most welcoming places I have had coffee in!

Just popped in for a coffee, i am a coffee snob and wasn't disappointed - very good indeed. I sat on my laptop and watched the comings and goings of customers, and the warm friendly greeting for each of them by the staff. Village chat with the customers was warm, personal and genuine. Great surroundings, nice high bench with barstools where you can watch the world go by in the Market Bosworth Square. Nice little hidey holes ono little tables in corners available if you want some peace. Very lovely place, will definitely come again.

After seeing this place on Instagram, described as a 'healthy eatery' but no menu available, I was disappointed to turn up for brunch with the only things on offer was bacon and sausage baguettes. I had a gluten free bacon ciabatta made for me with one piece of bacon in each so was left with mainly bread. Described as a healthy eatery I was expecting better options for breakfast- smoothie bowls etc. However, I did enjoy a nice gluten and dairy free cake. Perhaps the lunch options would have been better.

After negotiating the “hidden” entrance and finally coming to the business end of this fairly new eatery, we were pleasantly surprised at what confronted us. This was a counter full of mouthwatering goodies, from soup, ciabatta sandwiches, delicious sausage rolls, cakes, brownies and a host of other mouthwatering items, and the coffee wasn’t too bad either lol. The service was good but...we asked for our ciabatta sandwich and sausage roll to be warmed up.... sometime later we received the nicely warmed sandwich and later still a rather flat sausage roll. Don’t get me wrong they were really very tasty but have them warmed only if you’re not in a hurry. This is a new enterprise a deserves a visit as the food is very tasty.

Visited for coffee and pastry. Coffee tasted burnt and pastry was dry. Shame as this is quite a pretty cafe and they obviously are making an effort but the quality was lacking.

Well what a gorgeous coffee shop and delicatessen! The quality of food is second to none and the atmosphere and staff add to the friendly, but very chic vibe. I had the parsnip soup with tomato focaccia bread and both were delicious. Lovely coffee too! So much choice, I need to return to sample all the other delicious options .

I called at Thyme today whilst visiting Market Bosworth. What a gem it is! The display of food on offer is mouth watering, making it difficult to choose! Eventually I opted for the broccoli and cherry tomato frittata, which was simply delicious.

We have visited only 3 times so far. The first time I was looking for a nice cafe to get lunch with my husband as we hadn't been out for ages. We found Thyme on TripAdvisor and decided to give it a go. The food (especially the salads) and coffees were delicious. We decided to go again the next day with my father-in-law, just in case it was a one off, but nope, delicious again!

Thyme is a great addition to Market Bosworth. The coffee is wonderful and the food is delicious with a variety of gluten-free and vegan options available. They have plant based milks as well so I was sorted! The owners and staff are lovely too. Personally I would prefer ceramic cups when drinking in instead of paper cups, but that is the only downside to this cafe. So overall would give 4.5 stars & will be visiting again.

Went into Thyme with one of my friends and we weren't disappointed! Absolutely loved the atmosphere in there and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. They have a wonderful choice of sweet and savoury treats, there were just too many to choose from! Since my husband is a vegetarian it is sometimes difficult to find yummy snacks for him, however at Thyme I couldn't believe the choice. He was very happy with his take away treat! Can't wait to visit again!

Popped into Thyme after seeing a rather exciting cake display through the window! Lovely atmosphere and decor (we didn't even notice the sadly boarded up front door till it was pointed out) - the duo behind the business has created a really lovely vibe, very different to what's around it. The food we tried was fantastic, and super friendly service so will definitely be back for lunch some time soon! Thanks guys :)

Cracking sausage roll. Was about to get the last browny but someone else got there first, just too popular.

Always loved Market Bosworth but now I love it more - finally a great cafe has opened - visited three times now and it does not disappoint - the food is amazing - so much thought has gone into this - the sausage rolls are the best I have ever tasted - the salads are gorgeous and so healthy - coffee is top quality - I would so recommend this place - you will not be disappointed - and you can take your fur baby in too !!

Lovely cafe to visit. Well laid out with a great choice of sweet and savoury freshly made pastries, inventive salads and plenty of vegetarian options, a wonderful feast for the eyes. We have been several times now only popping in for a coffee but ending up having lunch or a cake. The staff are young and friendly and you can tell they are all really enthusiastic about what they do, it shows both in the food and the atmosphere of the place. I visit places like this when I go to Chiswick in London so it's wonderful to now have our own special eatery in Bosworth.

I visited thyme with my friends. We only went for a coffee but were so impressed with the food on offer we all stayed for lunch and most of the afternoon. I have not seen the quality or selection of food as wonderful as this outside of london. There was so much choice and looked amazing and tasted even better. To find such a special and wonderful eatery within the midlands is a miracle. Staff were amazing and couldnt be more helpful. Their knowledge of their food and its nutritional value as well as wonderful service with a smile is a welcome addition to any of the other eateries in the area. Dont think twice about visiting this cute little cafe. The quality of food and drink on offer is truely amazing. We will be back again very soon.

An ad hoc visit whilst in Market Bosworth. Just dropped in for a bite to eat and wasn't disappointed - had a bite to eat. Friendly staff - currently cash-only but expecting a card machine soon.

Can only agree with Bosworth Battlers comments above. Extremely overpriced food & drink; coffee bitter & not worth £3, especially being served in takeaway cups. The decor is also very bland. I have read Thymes response to BB & suggest they revisit their philosophy as the venture may not last as the previous two incarnations didn't.

A lovely meeting place for coffee, which was delicious, but was disappointed to be served with paper cups whilst sitting inside.

Friendly staff, delicious quinoa salad and lots of options for those with dietary requirements. Highly recommended for lunch.
