Queens Head in Hinckley and Bosworth

Attended a wake here on Friday, food really nice good selection provided, drinks as per pub prices. Thankyou Queens Head Barwell.

Classic proper pub with a bar that is surrounded by rooms, so you can mingle or disappear and enjoy a quiet drink. Tucked back from the high street, it is appalling as you walk past, the reason we visited in the first place. It's dog friendly, staff seem friendly as well. They went all out with the Halloween decorations and it was nice near Christmas as well. I don't go to pubs much, but this will be the one on barwell I visit when I do. There's a car park at the rear, although small. †update We've now returned a few times and recently had some good food. It's not fine dining, but you get a good sized portion that tastes good and is well cooked. Cheesy garlic crumpets are a highlight as well as the minted gravy and lamb cheesy chips! They also brought out a few treats for our dog. ♥️ Looking forward to summer evenings here.

My sister and I took my dad here for Sunday dinner (for context, my dad has dementia) Not only was the food amazing, but it was very reasonably priced. The staff and patreons were really good with my dad. Very accommodating

Lovely cosy friendly pub. Dog friendly too! Stopped here for the first time tonight and we were both really happy with the whole evening. The food portions are very large so make sure you are hungry! The service was good and speedy. Decent selection of beers, spirits etc. We'll definitely be going back here.

One of the best boozers around the food is beautiful I had dirty lamb chips with gravy one of the nicest meals I ever had. My friend agreed too. Make sure you say hello to John when in there he's always happy to go that extra mile for people :)

The staff are friendly and welcoming. The food is excellent. The roast dinner was perfect. The hospitality is always spot on. The chef always comes to greet my daughter who has special needs. It is by far my favourite pub

This place is massively underrated for food. Never had a bad meal here. Great service and the chef always takes the order and brings out food and checks how it is. The portions are huge though so be careful! Great price and the food is spot on, can't moan at all!

I been going here on and off for about a 18 months ! I can say the food is excellent always piping hot and full of tast. The landlord, John is a great host and always puts a smile on your face. He is very much a hands on person and always putting on something for his punters. Atmosphere sometimes quiet yet a good place to relax if you need too. Cheers John.

Nice little pub in Barwell. Very reasonable prices and a great pint of Guinness. Recommended.

Let down last minute by another establishment so turned up on a Saturday evening and John and his staff saved the day ,Excellent food and service .Highly recommend ,thank you Guys.

Great pub, great food. Personally really enjoy the ploughmans, loads of cheese! When the mother-in-law is over from Poland, this is the first place we take her for Fish and Chips too! Sunday dinners a great too, but you need to make sure you book!

Lovely fresh home cooked food. All the staff were nice, friendly.

Had the most amazing home made meal at the Queens Head. Not been to this pub in quite a while but we were not disappointed in any way. Loved the food and atmosphere. Staff were so welcoming, thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. Thank you.

Absolutely brilliant! The food came piping hot with a huge portion and tasted amazing. Great value for money. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Deffo going to return!!

Went here as a couple for the first time and I was highly disappointed. I ordered surf and turf for £16. Food took ages to come out. When it did arrive the plate consisted of Half of it been chips. I asked for medium rare steak and it came our medium well. No vegetables were given I.e mushrooms/tomato/side salad. The £10 steak and chips without surf included onion rings. The one that cost me £16 did not. So I paid £6 for 5 pieces of scampi and had less still. No one made effort to check whether the food was OK for us. And we had paid upon order so it felt very much as though they couldn't care less. I will not return.

New to the area, great to visit a traditional pub which are on the decline these days. New owner's have taken it over menu looks great always busy and you are best to book a table if you want to eat.

Excellent food! Chicken,beef, lamb and pork small or Large(recommend the large you get the choice of 2 meats). Staff really Friendly especially Rob. The Chef is really nice and friendly too. Lovely quaint little pub with locals and outsiders. Book in advance though as places go fast. Good selection of beer as well(free house). Guinness is excellent,but I’m biased.

Always love coming here for dinner with the family or drinks with the girls. Love that we have a proper pub within walking distance of home. The food is always spot on. X

Always feel at home when I step through the door and always feel welcome even with my children in tow. The food is lovely and reasonably priced with good portion sizes. The staff are friendly and approachable. Would definitely recommend.

We visited the Queens Head for the monthly quiz. The entry was £2.50 per person and Included food, which was an amazing suprise when it came out, lots to eat, very tasty. Traditional British pub with comfortable rooms and ample outdoor seating area. A good selection of beers at reasonable prices. Friendly welcome with a vibrant atmosphere. A nice pub to chill out with friends and/or family. The Queen's Head in Barwell is a well liked pub and highly recommended.

New management, place has been done up. Much briter inside, under cover seating and benches outside. Food is good. Both of the new guys are chatty. All in all a nice place.
