Lovely food, and amazing customer service.
I ordered 10 minutes before closing and was running 5 minutes late, and they treated me like I was the first customer through the door. Absolutely lovely and had full right to be annoyed at me. Even gave me free popodoms.
Really appreciate the kindness even though I was fully in the wrong, this place is a true dream experience.
Would highly recommend.
Absolutely amazing steaks on stones with delicious garlic butter and home cut and cooked chips (like mom used to make)!! Highly recommended - will definitely back 👍
Had a lovely lunch with beautiful home cooked food and cakes with such friendly staff. Was made very welcome and wish that I lived nearer to visit again such a gem of a place.
Everyone friendly, and welcoming. Excellent choice of food and drink. Delicious food and very good value for money. Comfotable furniture in a relaxed atmosphere. They go above and beyond, highly recommend
Excellent service from the 2 students & lady in charge of cafe plus attached is a lovely gift shop. The students did very well serving me & the ladies helped me with the postcards. Lovely big shop.
Nine of us went for a St Patrick’s day lunch except there wasn’t a nod to Ireland on the menu. It was £12.50 per head with a choice of 3 starters, 3 mains and 3 puddings.
We we’re expecting something exceptional for the price at a college which is charging more than restaurants in town.
The leek and potato soup was good and nicely presented with a swirl of cream through the green soup. To follow the roast lamb was supposed to be leg but there was too much gristle and fat, more like shoulder but the student waitress insisted it was leg! The accompanying veg was just about okay, the long stemmed broccoli was almost but not going yellow.
The desserts were a choice between lemon tart, tiramisu or panecotta which were quite good but nothing to drool over.

We got the Friday sizzler, 2 Sizzlers and a house bottle of wine deal. Good cocktails, lovely service. It was very quiet when we went on a Friday night so atmosphere was a bit lack luster but other than that it was great! Would certainly go again ☺️
Lovely family run business. My regular Thursday morning stop off, friendly people, food very good (if you have toast the plates are warmed and plenty of butter in a dish) coffee hot and strong and fantastic home made cakes. Prices comparable and better than some.
Ordered 2 coffee and 2 fruit scones
.Although I knew what I wanted, the young server insisted i looked at the
menu!
I paid in total £14.50 2 coffees, which arrived lukewarm, £2.75 each and the scones were £4.50 each. Not cheap, not fresh, not going again.
