Met friends for lunch having lunched here before. Again, I was not disappointed with the service and food. The waitress was attentive, friendly and super efficient! The food was delicious, nicely presented and decently portioned. The coffee is great too! There is a lovely relaxed vibe here and all in all a great place to enjoy on your own or with friends/family. I’ve recommended to others who have all enjoyed the same experience. Keep up the great work!

What a wonderful place. Lots of interesting and exciting artwork to look at combined with a high end bistro type experience at very reasonable prices. The coffee really was special. I was recommended by a friend to try out Evergreen for lunch and I was not disappointed. Really is a hidden gem of a place (I know its an often overused statement but its genuine in this case!) run by local street food business 'Hogs & Hops'. At the back of the art gallery you'll find a cosy cafe. We had the Evergreen club sandwich with hybrid fries (?!) and it was simply delicious, nicely presented, using fresh ingredients and an all round top experience for lunch.

Popped in for coffee after not having visited for a while. We both decided to have a teacake. It was served with the butter in a small pot , What can I say . The amount of butter we were given was so small it hardly covered the teacake. Just one very small pat . Penny pinching. . When it arrived we both looked at each other and smiled. We were the only two people in there and not once we're we asked if everything was ok. We used to visit a lot but service Def not what it was. Felt like we we were an nconvenience.

I checked the menu out before visitng as I am vegan and gf. The menu states the bbq lentil burger is v, vg and gf, as well as the sides of fries. On going up to the till to order, which I'm sure cafes and restaurants are now table service only, I was told fries are gf but the frier is not. Strange, don't advertise items as gf if they are actually not. This can kill! Anyway, I'll have salad, not an issue, it was delicious. Then ten minutes after ordering I was told gf bun was not vegan. Again annoying that staff (manager) not knwolegdable but typical answer. At 30 min mark apology given food late as staff new, OK fine but not really acceptable. At 45 minutes overcooked food delivered, burger just cuttable by knife. No check back made, just a thanks as (coincidence) manager passing by on exit. Complimentary drink was offered but after 45 minutes, I just wanted to eat and leave. Tables queued down to mine so no social distancing abided by. I chose to dine out but thought more steps on safety would be taken. Disappointing.

Visited evergreen for breakfast on a Saturday morning. It's deceptively spacious with a fantastically quirky layout, which I was told is the building's original. The decoration is mostly based on the artwork that is also for sale and provides a very interesting environment. The space where we sat (same level as the kitchen and till) is so warm and cosy with a beautiful fireplace at the centre of it. The coffee was a-mazing, the staff were friendly and the service was quick. Our breakfast (tex-mex eggs Benedict and salmon and potato hash) were hot and delicious. We even treated ourselves to a slice of lemon cake topped with berries that was gorgeous! The menu for both breakfast and lunch looks very good and I thought the prices were very reasonable. We'll definitely return and we'd love to try the afternoon tea.

We have been here several times. First visit was to collect a piece of art primarily, but we had to have lunch. The food is great, home cooked, good value and a variety of interesting things to choose from. We've had Sunday lunch there too but you'll need to book for their Sunday Lunch Club because it's well attended. Not surprising as the lunch is as good as I've had. Simon and his team are great hosts and the art available is amazing. I love it here. It's cost me a fortune over the last few years but who cares. I've made some great investments with some lovely pieces on the walls and shelves which we love looking at, spent the kid's inheritance, had some great food. Pay a visit, you won't be disappointed.

Went for lunch with my mum as we have always really rated the Evergreen Art Cafe however this last visit has really disappointed us and we will not be going again. We waited over 40 minutes for food that was very basic, an open sandwich which consisted of bread, rocket, smoked salmon and some avocado. I wouldn’t have minded so much but as we were on our lunch break we were in a hurry and before ordering we did ask if orders were up to date and if we would have a long wait. We were told that all orders were up to date and our order would be made next. In the end as we waited so long we wanted to cancel the order however we were told that our food is ready and they would put it in a box for us. We had to wait a further 5-10 minutes for our food to be put in the box.

We were in Daventry and someone recommended the Art Cafe for a good cup of coffee. How right they were. Entering through a small interesting art gallery it led us to a small cafe at the rear of the shop. A small intimate cafe with about eight tables, with the walls decorated in interesting art work. A super menu with a good choice of hot and cold lunches. On our first visit I had the mackerel pate and my wife the club sandwich and sweet potato fries. Everything was delicious. The service is friendly and prompt. We didn’t have cakes so had to come back a second time! On our second visit the food was again excellent, and the cake was scrumptious. Quirky sort of place with paintings adorning the wall which are all for sale.Staff very friendly and helpful. Evergreen is the jewel of Daventry. We've been going for several years now. Always have a great selection of menu standards supplemented by a wide range of specials. Always something good to try and always good. Great atmos sitting amongst the art and great friendly staff. Sometimes have to wait for a table, but always efficient even when busy. Extremely good value too. Tea is from Tea Pigs, but no price premium. Like it, love it!

This is the loveliest place to catch a coffee/cake/salad/sandwich. A hidden gem amongst a beautiful art gallery. All food home made served with a smile. Love it!

Went here for the first time recently while in daventry for the art and the restaurant. Never again as the staff were rude and the management even ruder his shouting and swearing was disgraceful even the staff looked ashamed. Small man sindrome at its best. Avoid this place like the plague.

Pleasant funky little cafe at the back of an art shop. Unexpected find on our wander around Daventry on a chilly January day. Really good coffee. I ordered a flat white which was excellent. The cappuccino and espresso were also rated excellent by friends. Better than any chain coffee shop.

Visited today, Saturday, we normally choose here over everywhere in Daventry for their wonderful hospitality - not today it would appear, to be greeted with "no hot food now the oven is off" in a rude tone, as opposed to hello how are you immediately put us off and we left straight away - even the customer in front of us commented on how rude they were!! Going back to Costa where the oven is never off and the staff are ALWAYS friendly!!!

I visited the cafe twice this week. The lemon drizzle cake was perfect! I love Tea Pigs tea so happy to get a pot with enough for two cups! My other half sampled the Flat White, a rare find (done well) in the UK! The cafe is a great idea else we would never have gone in just to look at the art knowing its a little above our price range. But there was a lovely selection, and who knows, we might ask for one as a wedding gift!

Recently discovered there is more to this place than I thought. Inside it is oozing style. Owners are super friendly and staff are always polite. Food is great and looking at the art is a welcome break. We regularly use this place for meetings and our guests always love it.Such style is almost out of place in Daventry!

The best Moules a la Creme outside Brussels but for one thing, it was described as Moules Mariniere which it most definitely wasn,t. But the mussels were big, juicy, succulent in a cream sauce to die for. Pity the Chicken Kiev had no garlic butter AT ALL. And when I asked to talk to the chef to congratulate him on his mussels he never came - the difference between a family resturant and a commercial one. What a pity.

The Staff at The Olive Branch always have a smile and they are volunteers. Nothing is too much trouble and they always make us feel welcome. The Homemade Cakes look delicious and the large Cheese Scones are always eaten by my friends. In the colder weather my friends usually have their soup and I always see someone in there eating a Full English Breakfast at lunchtime.

A proper pub/restaurant in West Haddon. Our first visit on Thursday evening, met by welcoming and friendly staff. How good to see a menu of interesting and diverse dishes. And it did not disappoint. We had starter of Ham Hock Terrin, followed by the Beef short rib and The Brisket pie both with fresh vegetables. All well cooked and presented by an obviously competent kitchen. Everything was exellent. The food and drinks were very competitively priced and the whole place had a good vibrant atmosphere. We will be back soon to try some of the other mouth watering dishes.
