The Chukka Bar & Restaurant in Daventry

We visited the outdoor restaurant and pizza bar. The bar area had a really nice holiday vibe where you could sit outside overlooking a stunning showjumping arena. The staff were very friendly who quickly served us and took our food order. We had soft drinks and vegetarian burgers, with chips and homemade slaw. It was delicious and competitively priced. We'll definitely return soon, even if to just drink and take in the atmosphere.

Came down for Sunday lunch with my friend, a lovely warm environment with log burner & friendly staff on a busy day. 10/10 for a tasty varied vegetables, potatoes & meat. As good as my mums!! Very tasty. Thank you.

We had our ‘work’s do’ here,16 attended.The food was excellent,the service was good.Nice and warm with the log burner at full tilt.We had the place to ourselves and everyone enjoyed the night.Overall we were very impressed with all aspects.

Very cosy surroundings in an excellent sports complex. Superb meal, cooked to perfection, great menu which covers all tastes. Would definitely recommend

Food: the menu given was nothing like the menu displayed online. Service: Poor, no body had a clue what was going on…one waitress couldn’t even give directions to the toilet. Atmosphere: live singer playing music was far too loud and distorted. Recommendations to improve the dining experience…. Train staff correctly so they can accommodate all what the Chukka bar has to offer. Offer the menu’s you display online, they sound fantastic.

The Chukka Bar it's the perfect location for a day with family and friends. Lovely landscapes and friendly staff. Vast delicious food and drinks, pet friendly. Spacious car park HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Once again a glorious evening with delicious food , friendly attentive service in a gorgeous setting.Adam the chef , goes above and beyond making sure the food is great and caters to my demands for extra spice while Clare and the other bar staff keep the drinks flowing . We had a lovely meal this evening at the Chukka Bar. The food is to die for- absolutely amazing! The brie wedge starter was huge and the home made pie gorgeous. Dessert was a work of art and we left totally full. Thank you for an amazing evening. X

Amazing food and service for my sisters 21st birthday definitely recommend.

If this is a restaurant then I would expect table service! The only table service was to take my food order. No offer of drinks had to go to the bar to even get a drink! I could have walked out without paying. They had no clue what was going on. The place got busier and busier, god help the customers who came in later! The food wasn’t amazing, I had steak and ale pie, more pastry than meat. Very disappointing. I gave it two star as the setting is fantastic over looking the polo field. More staff required that know what they are doing.

Lovely friendly staff that were polite and happy to help, provided good service entertainment and a good atmosphere, particularly a lady called Kathryn, who went above and beyond to do everything she could to help ! Please give her my best and made sure we didn’t go without a meal

Reading the other reviews here I had to check it was the same venue. My experience was totally opposite to others here. We booked a table online for Sunday lunch and on the day thought it may be better to go a little earlier if possible. The phone was switched off and after several more attempts during their opening hours, we decided to go at the time booked. Our first visit so we did not know the protocol. We went to the bar and waited patiently whilst the lady with the lovely green fingernail polish served another customer. She did not acknowledge that we were there and when another person approached the bar so spoke to them. We waved “hello” can we check our table. “Yours is the one in the middle, set with one place at the moment”. We sat down and waited and waited…. Looking around the other tables still had dinner plates left on with quite a lot of left over food. We thought either the potions are huge or the food is bad. The table opposite us started scaping their own plates and put them onto another table. Obviously fed up of waiting for the table to be cleared. They were waiting for drinks which the lady with the lovely nails finally brought over. Ah we thought, she might hand us some menu’s but alas no, she just ignored us. We felt sorry for their lack of staff. Another member of staff appeared to serve another table. She came over to the table who had finished dining and picked up the tray of condiments which she then gave to the new diners. By this time we had waited 20 minutes and still no communication. So we left and went to another lovely friendly restaurant in Dunchurch who cared for our custom. The only good part of this visit was to discover Treacle’s - such a fabulous little shop with so much yummy quality foods and so friendly. Shame on you Chukka Bar & Restaurant! There is no excuse for rudeness.

Best steak I have had in a long time. Cooked to perfection. Great friendly service. Beautiful venue and to top it all off we got to watch a Polo match.

Delighted to find the Chukka bar and grill with views of an outdoor arena allowing me to take in my first polo game. The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was even better. Made to feel incredibly welcome somewhere I wouldn’t normally have visited. I will be back again and would have no qualms in recommending it to my friends and family.

Adam and the team organised an amazing corporate lunch for our team. They were very accommodating with our requests and went above and beyond to make sure the event went ahead without a hitch.

Came down for a family gathering, the food & drink menu is fab, plenty of choice, staff are helpful & friendly, warming log fire & full views of the equestrian events going on … a great afternoon out! Thank you Adam, Philip & team 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
