Looqma in Leicester

The pistachio baklava is to die for. Fresh, full of flavour and goes down a treat. Fresh ice cream inside the baklava tops it off. The syrup is not too strong either so it's a nice filling dessert.

Too sweet...4 Baklavas costs £4... Steep price for very average sweets

I recently tried kanafeh in looqma. It became my go to desert place.

I think this place has the best desserts in town, great portions and served very well. I can’t go without mentioning how authentic their Turkish breakfast is which I believe they have recently started and wow. Definitely be back and recommend to anyone who asks

Really good dessert. The only thing I would have to put down is the coffee, which needs improving. Other than that really good and highly recommend.

I ordered a takeaway and it was a huge mistake. The kunafa had only a small bit of cheese in it; definitely below standard for anyone who tasted proper kunafa before. You will get more tasty frozen kunafa from any continental food store for half the price. The looqmas were terrible, very oily and the dough texture had nothing to do with looqma. And we just had a box of plain looqma, no pistachios! The name is false advertising apparently. Not worth a penny.

Food arrived cold and was a bit messy but it was alright.it tasted okay but probably would be better in the store. Owner responded to my comment but i don’t know how to respond . I had looqma which at arrival had a bad oil taste to them and like the chocolate had got a little cold

By far the best place in Leicester for dessert right now. I drive from Rushey Mead to Narborough Road solely to visit the shop. Staff are friendly too That was a year ago. This place is going downhill fast. One member of staff today was smoking right outside the doorway drinking a coffee or tea out of a glass, he passed them both to his friend whilst he dealt with a delivery person and I was waiting to be served, he then left to finish his cigarette and social before serving me. I just left. Possibly a one off but I don't think I will go back for a while. Very disappointing to see it go downhill like this as they were very good. Especially smoking outside of the door, it was very off putting.

We ordered a home delivery, parcel arrived on time. Tasted the kunefe, looqma and waffle. Loved the Kunefe nice,fresh and crispy. Did not like the Looqma as they are fried and tasted of awful oil smell. The waffle was underdone. Will not be ordering again, one time try...

Lokma made in Leicester... Really tasty, good crunchy crust. Really nice Turkish fried sweet goodness! The shop is small, they have a good selection of desserts. Love it!

Kunefe was really good even by Turkey standards; but finding such a great kunefe in the UK is surreal. My friend also loved the baklava. We have also bought some savoury biscuits and they are very tasty and fresh.

Absolute gem, freshly baked kunafa is one of the best I've had in the UK. Must also try baklava with ice cream.

I am not a fan of pastry, but this Kunefe was amazing! I still don't understand what makes it so tasty😁. Lovely staff as well.

Delicous Kanafe, it was just the right sweetness & creaminess at the same time perfect combo with the arabic tea, very nice and light, not to strong, didnt even need the sugar that came with it x

Fantastic. Desserts are carefully crafted; I had a looqma and it was lovely. The texture and crunchiness of the fried outside contrasted perfectly with the chocolate filling and garnishing.

L'endroit est sympathique, parfait pour une petite pause détente. Une large variété de desserts trucs disponible. Pour ma part j'ai commandé un Kunefe (5£) 10min d'attente car il est fait sur place. Il y avait un peu trop d'huile a mon gout.

Friendly atmosphere, delicious desserts and beautiful people. We had kunaffa and a waffle and we really enjoyed the experience.

Me and my friend ordered the lotus biscuit and orea waffle for £5 each. It arrived after 40 minutes, we were prepared for 45 minutes so they could make it and deliver it to where we are. I paid online to make it a lot easier due to covid. They knocked on the door, my friend answered and took the food, thanked them, and that was it. Super easy. In the bag was 2 wipes, 2 bundles of tissue, and of course 2 boxes with our waffles inside. The waffles tasted AMAZING, and were super filling. Overall, we were super happy, and would reccomend. Best baklava and kunefe and Turkish tea. Also love the looqma pieces with chocolate and hazelnut .Cosy place to visit ,at the moment ply collection delivery but we are pleased .

Great ambience, Great food, Lovely waitress. Been to this place a few times now, the looqma (atom) are a must try, the kunefe is nice but the real secret is the baklava with real turkish cream.

Loved this cute cosy little dessert shop. Gives you a little reminder of actual turkey. The staff are so lovely and friendly it was lovely being able to have a conversation with them which actually made my bad day feel better. I would definitely go here again either for some me time or even a date. The tea was lovely as well as the little cinnamon dusted looqmas. Thank you 😊

Really bad and slow service .i went with another family and each dish was a 20 minute wait .by the time everything turneD up we were completely put off.the kunafa was basically just filo pastry swimming in a pool of sugar syrup there was hardly any cheese in it.the pictures are very deceiving.i wouldn’t recommend this place unfortunately

I have not had a good Kunefe since I was in Turkey. This place is great. It was freshly made and delicious. Sorry, no pic of it... I ate it. With my favorite Turkish restaurant across the street from here, I think I will be here far more often . :)

Cosy little place. Variety of Turkish desserts, snacks etc. Kanafeh is quite nice, I would strongly recommend to have it fresh, straight away. Don't take home and reheat as the taste and crispiness would not be the same. Parking in the area is bit challenging so prepare to park with streets away.
