Try the Thai green curry. The best we’ve ever had!!! Spicey, plenty so nicely presented. Amazing. Great beer too!! Recommended.

Saddened by the change in the quality of service since new staffing. In Addition on two occasions drinks have not been what was paid for.

Beautiful hotel in a quiet area. What you need for complete relaxation. Nearby fields, great place for long walks. Very well equipped rooms, very nice staff, great restaurant next door. I recommend.

Celebrated my birthday there last night with the family! Alex and his fantastic team did all they could to make it a wonderful celebration! The new menu was outstanding, with a variety and choice to suit everyone - we numbered with 3 family members with food intolerance - or dietary restrictions - all catered for in a welcoming and inclusive fashion! Some old favourites still available along with some wonderful new dishes! Some of us enjoyed choosing from the cocktail menu - great quality cocktails but at pocket friendly prices. Service was wonderful from the serving staff and bar staff! Thanks all - we will be back very soon!!!

I literally crave the enchiladas daily!! Love love love. Wish I lived more local, but always get food from here when I am nearby. Highly recommend. 10/10

Lovely visit on a Tuesday evening with friends. Dishes on the new menu were delicious- we all had the lamb flatbread and loved it. Service was also good as always. Will be back again soon.

We Love this place. It's all of the above, super A1 staff and the owner is a really lovely woman. Highly recommended for a great easy going tasty meal.

Friend and I went to Chequers for lunch. We’ve been a few times . He tells me on tap beer is good. The Sausage (locally sourced) and mash was well priced and was of a very good quality. Tasty . Very nice surroundings and very nice atmosphere. Recommend. Although not too much as it might get too busy. Plenty of parking.

Just popped in for a drink on Saturday evening. Very quiet in there. Nice enough.

Came here with work colleagues for lunch and everything was delicious. To all the comments about salty food, it's not their fault your used to bland processed food is it?..... Beautifully prepared fresh food by Simon and the team. The prawn toast is ridiculous and I will attempt to make this at home! Also please make sure you try the parfait! My guess would be Tom is the man behind this one! It was balanced to perfection. Grateful for all the hard work behind this menu Luke

Very great pub, especially to have breakfast before the test match this week. Made it even better to be first in there but also the food was top notch.

The T-bone steak was mostly gristle! The place has a nice atmosphere and very friendly staff but £7 for a pint of lager is criminal.

Best mixed meat kebab in town. Nothing even comes close to it, all 3 meats are amazing.
