A beautiful little chippy. Very friendly staff, a real community spirit in there. Lots of support for small local businesses such as ice cream from Derbyshire businesses. The fish and chips were impeccable. Great prices. I will definitely come here again whilst visiting

Marvelous food again and again from Jimmy's! I seriously have never had a wrong order, nor not thoroughly enjoyed a piping hot fresh delicious meal every single time 🤤😁🤤!!! This is my favourite chippy by a long way and the chippy boxes are lush!

They were shut for 18 months but now re-opened however they are a bit expensive but the quality isnt that bad. The chips tend to be a little soggy I prefer mine more crispy.

to be fair traffic around Alfreton is really bad at the minute due to all the road work & temporary traffic lights usually delivery is on time

Really disappointed, ordered a regular fish & chips with tartare sauce and curry sauce. Didn’t get any tartare sauce, the curry sauce is Chinese not chippy curry sauce, my fish was small and flat as a pancake!! And the chips didn’t taste how they usually do?! Oh and a woman was abit rude. I didn’t hear her talking to me and she goes HELLOOOO!! The lad was nice though.

I’ve had from here before but tonight wasn’t as good quality as it usually is. I ordered a mixed meat and chips with all 3 meats and there was no doner meat on it and the chicken meat on it wasn’t a lot. Also the cheese and onion pie I had was really hard underneath like it was slightly burnt and had been in hot cupboard for a long time. The delivery was quick which probably explains why all the doner meat was missing off my kebab.

I just moved to Alfreton area, I haven't been into the chippy yet . But my wife ordered online, the food we ordered was hot and delivered on-time. We will definitely use again .

Really nice kebabs , not too bad at keeping up with timings but the owner is miserable as f and its rubbed off on the staff too... crack a smile guys!

Its good to see Jimmy's open again and the new owners are doing a cracking job. Ordered 3 types of kebab, fish and chips, curry and peas. Delivery was quicker than expected and none of the food disappointed. We'll definitely be ordering again. The only criticism i can think of is that it's a little pricey. Pricey but nicey. Cheers.

Lacked flavour. Burger was dry, chicken nuggets were tasteless and couldn’t eat them all. Overall really disappointed

1st time going here after daughter recommend and wasn't disappointed food beautiful especially the home made pies I had chicken ham n leek,chips beautiful and mushy peas were lovely too not a sloppy mess and as a bonus got a bag full of scraps ( batter bits). They also offer Xmas specials to which if I remember correctly include pigs in blankets, stuffing balls n mozzarella sticks. Definitely recommend and will be back 100%.

Food came cold and soggy. Unacceptable. cold soggy batter. Should not be sent out in that condition. Not order again

Always good food! I've never been one for chip shop food but since this place has been back open I've become a regular, never disappointed and the price has been spot on. Would definitely recommend. Gets busy at peak times!

Sadly, not up to Jim’s standard. Whilst the donna meat was excellent, the chips were served in a cardboard box. And they tasted of cardboard. Chips have been served wrapped in paper for many many decades and should not be messed with. So if I want chips, I will go to Marios. Also seemed very expensive delivered by Uber.

Purchased take away Sunday evening. Cost £49.70 as a treatcwith Grandparents. 2 essential items missing from the order, had to travel back, apology, no refund or goodwill gesture! Family evening meal ruined by incompetence, not good enough for such an expenive takeaway! Clear over run with orders, not enough competent staff.

OMG best fish and chips! I've been told it has just reopened, my partner brought home fish and chips from here the other night and I'm not a big fish and chip fan but wow, I was pleasantly surprised and will be returning more often, even my fussy 4yr old was eating the tartar sauce like a yogurt 🤣

You never fail to get decent bite to eat from this chippy. It must be the oldest chip shop around for miles, which speaks for itself. Still use quite regular even though I'm not I the area anymore. Keep up the good work guys.

Nipped in one lunch time for a quick bag of chips, waited behind a guy with a massive order. They took my order and money then said I'd have to wait for chips. When they arrived they were half cooked. Never going in again.

Always great food been going since I was a kid,I've tried others from Alfreton and the surrounding areas even hull when I was a student,none even comes close.would definitely recommend and have and they agree with me.... Would give 10/5 if I could
