Birds in Amber Valley

All great, but the sausage or roast pork and bacon cobs are brilliant. Great value and good portions. Cakes and bread are delicious as well.

We called in while visiting Belper. Friendly helpful service but most importantly the loaf of bread and the bread rolls we bought were gorgeous, soft and fresh just outstanding! Thankyou

Great chain of shops in the Derby area, this is the Belper one. Best sausages you’ll ever get, other food is amazing there too including cream cakes, cheese straws and bread rolls to name a few. Staff lovely and shop always kept clean and tidy. Small outdoor seating area too. Well recommended 👍

It's Birds excellent food,but in my opinion it's overpriced for what it is!!

I used to live in Belper, but moved to Ripley 10 years ago. The staff in Ripley are lovely. I called into Belper shop today and they were so rude and unhelpful. Plonked the 20p carrier on top of my goods, noting I was struggling with purse, handbag, walking stick, and then proceeded to shout over my head as if I was in the way. I will stick with Ripley in future, disgusting attitude.

In Belper for a few days, tried several things from the bakery to take home all delicious. Lots of customers so must be good

Absolutely smashed it our of the park. The assistant manager went above and beyond to serve me. My wife has an unusual allergy that isn't in the normal list. She called the office to check for me and printed off the list of ingredients for reference in the future. Very good cream scones. The best sausage cob I've had too.

I went into birds in belper last week reasonably early, on the other counter being served was an old lady with clawed fingers, clearly struggling to grip. She asked the shop assistant if she could slice the loaf for her, the shop assistant replied very bluntly NO we don't do that anymore! I felt so sorry for this old lady and I was disgusted with the staff on how they spoke to her. This shop and staff should be ashamed of themselves. This company have really shown their true colours during covid 19.

Good food at reasonable prices.

Wow! Featherlight cakes and breads. Try the orange Danish pastry, chocolate éclairs, and the sausage cob with apple sauce. Greggs has nothing on this place.

Since the refresh it’s made this Birds location even more appealing. Their food is always fresh, cakes to sandwiches. Staff are always friendly and helpful. They also now take cards which is great!
