Not a very nice pub at all. Wanted a dog friendly place, walked in sat down and got told to move for a different family. Staff was rude and abrupt towards us. We left straight away. Horrible atmosphere and will not be returning. Wouldn’t even give 1 star.

Tim and the bar staff are always so friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere is always lively, with locals and their mates coming in for a pint, a chat, or to watch sports. The quiz on Thursdays is really good too!

Been many years since I visited the Red Lion 19 years to be precise. Good beers and friendly staff. My visit was to attend a funeral wake.

Quite often me & my husband will walk to this pub on one of our local walks or just pop in for a drink if we are passing. It is really friendly & the bar staff make us feel very welcome.

Watched the Nottingham Forest v Huddersfield Play off final here. Friendly landlord and staff. Great pub to watch a football ⚽ match and have a drink 🍻🙂

Visited on a quiz night(thursday) which had a hefty cash prize.pub serves good beer and is a proper job! ( decent ale selection)..sport showing on Tv all evening for those wanting soccer .
