Jenno's Coffee House - Everards Meadows in Blaby

Saddened by the change in the quality of service since new staffing. In Addition on two occasions drinks have not been what was paid for.

Great place to drop into after a walk round everards meadow with the dog and sit outside or a place to meet a friend for a chat inside. Lovely coffee,great choice, reasonable prices, lovely friendly staff. Recommended.

A nice coffee shop, lovely to sit outside in the sunshine. Always really busy but not too hard to get a seat. A little pricey in a few items. But ideal location to meet friends. Plenty of parking around. You can then go for a lovely walk.

Consistently the slowest served coffee on the planet. Baristas always have a long queue. Take one order at a time and complete said order before taking the next. Otherwise pleasant.

I love to go here but it's always packed, there is some tables outside but you have to choose the right weather for sitting out, unfortunately you have to sit out side if you take your dog, lots of people like to walk their dog before going for a drink and snack, it would be good if there was a seating area that was enclosed and more welcoming, the staff are friendly and even in the rush times they are helpful and try to accommodate people. Food and drinks are very tasty, and the decor great, toilets are in the cafe and usually clean.

We had been on a walk with family & dog in the park to see the river & the Grand Union canal. The weather was good, the café was very busy ... they were very efficient. We sat at one of the picnic tables outside & got our four drinks, three cakes & one toastie served quite quickly, took them to the picnic table & really enjoyed the whole experience. Being one of those English, sunny April days probably helped but if the weather had been poor we probably wouldn't have gone for an hour's walk in the park...

Staff knowledge of the products they sell is very poor. You ask them a simple question and they seem bemused. Most the younger staff just stand around chatting away with no customer service skills or willingness to serve. Drinks are mediocre for the price you pay.

No filling in the lunch. Massive disappointment. Cheap chorizo slice x 1 and a couple of morsels of chicken. Barely any bacon in the bacon roll too.Nice bread though

Lovely seating areas with plenty of tables to sit and chat. Good area for walking Plenty of. Parking.

We come to Jenno's at Fosse Park, Carlton Park and Brock's Hill regularly. Great food, nice atmosphere in the cafés and good drinks. Very family friendly which is a bonus. It's a shame that the slices of cake appear to be getting smaller.

Ooooow fab cakes here I'll tell you something as an ex chef these cakes are amazing... I had to tell the staff when I went in last week. It's a great place lots of babies in here at the 11am slot so keep that in mind but where else would they go once they ate the food here. It good really good well done to the chef and staff, I'm coming back x

Love jennos all of the coffee shops are amazing. Keep doing what you are as its working well. Also have the coffee at home too!

Too many staff hanging around the till area chatting whilst tables needed clearing. I tried to order a scone and even though some were on display, was told at the till they were for show only and had sold out. It would have been helpful if a sign saying out of stock was put on items no longer available as it was too late to go back to see what was available as there was a a queue behind me. Staff didn't offer an alternative or try to make a sale. They seemed to be more interested in having banter with kitchen staff.

Customer service could be better and communication

We use jennos cafe as a break from driving the M1 going sth Much better than the service stations re the food etc , fuel stations nearby, Sainsbury's & Asda.

Love coming here as it's so nice, but it's always SO busy. Great coffee, superb cakes and great staff make this place a real treat.

It was my first time visiting this place, and I was very impressed with the staff very welcoming helpful and very polite. Soup 🍲 of day 😋 was just nice.

They are not dog friendly and if you are alone with your dog you can’t go in to order. Cannot see why clean well behaved dogs can’t go in.

Such an aesthetic cafe to go to write/study. Or on a date with your boyfriend. Decor is really done well makes the cafe really inviting. Coffee is nice - could’ve had 5 cups! The view outside is nice especially in summer.

Nice convenient place but coffee not that good. Everything comes out milky, no froth on cappuccino etc. Been a few times now and always leave disappointed. Suppose the convenience and location are why they are busy.

My favourite coffee house in Leicestershire. Such a cosy, welcoming environment. Beautiful decor (I love the lit trees and comfy variety of leather sofas and chairs). Lovely staff, excellent coffee.....it's a struggle to leave 😆

I've always liked this place but £1 extra for a splash of oat milk, that's not on. Black coffee for me from now on .

Food is average. Took a long time to get served. Only met there as my friend has dogs and there's plenty of space for them to run.

Till duty should be given to staff who know how to be welcoming. Smile, greet, etc.

Lovely spot been coming here years and also the blaby cafe, Lovely soups and coffee and the place is decorated very nice, can get a bit busy but that's to be expected from a top place 😀

Went to the coffee cart at everards meadows very slow service 2 young girls in there one taking order and one making coffees but instead of taking the order getting the other girl make the drinks she waited until she had made the drinks before taking another order resulting in a long wait

Really nice service, good coffee and tried the cake which was great.

The service is a little slow especially on weekends. But must try their peanutbutter hot chocolate.

This place does the BEST portions of cake hands down! Vixtoria Sponge is a personal favourite. Love coming here on a weekend for a treat of tea and cake and always leave happy. The one down side.... Sooooo many other people seem to agree so it always takes an age to get served due to the size of the queue (a second till / pay point wouldn't hurt). Nice that they have a reward card scheme too.

Lovely place, in great surroundings. Aldi has outside cart to get take away. Outdoor seating available. Amazing cake selection, Seating inside can sometimes be limited during busy times

A really fantastic stop off if you’ve just walked your dog for a coffee, tea and cakes. Lovely atmosphere friendly and efficient staff. Nice clean toilets and you can eat and drink outside if you’re with your dog. Great place to meet friends for a cuppa and a gossip. Reasonably priced and well worth a visit 🏆

A great coffee house, possibly one of the best in Leicester. Quality coffee, choice of milk and other drinks. Food is well prepared and tasty. Sit inside or out. In particular all the staff are wonderful and take time to talk to customers. Additional coffee van for outside. The ice cream is a real treat. The only thing missing is a view of the sea.

I would like to open this review saying I love jennos. I am a regular customer here. Lovley atmosphere to do work. Normally great service but on this day, we got met with a rude , ignorant and patronising blonde women. Who displayed a clear annoyance when we wanted to just look upstairs to see if there was any tables available , when she assumed they were full. Learning to her colleague who was trying to support our needs, she deliberated very rude comments under here breath to him. As an individual who has worked in simular environments I understand stress in a coffee house, but I always remained professional. Unfortunately this girl didn’t .finally, this does not ably to anyone else who is working here, everyone else is so welcoming. Just constructive criticism 🤷🏼‍♀️

Worth going!! Lovely place for sandwiches, HUGE cake and plenty of choices for drinks (hot and cold) Spectacular green area for dog walking or walking. They also have Fosse park close by and a restaurant over the way, therefore It's a great balance to prevent places getting very busy.

Microwaved snacks but lovely coffee, staff were courteous, prices are above everyday cafe prices which kind of explains the amount of staff working there....you will pay high prices but won't wait long.. Nice clean place to have a coffee.

We are such frequent customers here! Service is always great even when there's a queue, coffee is good and a consistent quality. Grab a takeaway cup and wander the Everards meadow, it's a lovely way to start a chill Sunday morning... Or any other time we can make it there ☺️

Nice place to meet and good coffee as always, food was ok but a little overpriced. Considering it was busy managed to get a table which was a bonus.

Jenno's Coffee House at Everards Meadows offers decent coffee and an amazing atmosphere. Unfortunately, the plug points were not working on the day I visited, which was inconvenient for getting work done. Despite this setback, I enjoyed the overall vibe and will definitely visit again.

Nice place, family friendly, free 'babychino' for the younger visitors.

They advertise GF brownies with more in the back seperate from gluten containing items in the display. Having celiac disease I requested one from the back to which I was told they did not have any. I took the last one from the display for my daughter who doesn't suffer from the same disease as me so she wasn't disappointed. We always share one. No less than 30 seconds later, someone was replenishing the GF brownies from a box from the back. Attitude from the server was rather poor and sniggering to colleagues about it. If you don't want to serve don't advertise it

We use Jenny's on a very regular basis. The quality of the drinks and food on offer are of a very high quality, and the staff are always friendly and efficient. The hot chocolate is the best ever.

A bit stale, over priced and could do better

Jenno’s Café is a lovely spot in a scenic area, perfect for a relaxing visit. It has a large car park and offers both indoor and outdoor seating. The café serves warming and refreshing beverages, from rich coffees and refreshing iced teas to thick shakes and frappes. Their cakes are quite nice but not the best, and the sandwiches, paninis, and baguettes are fresh and tasty. Outside seating is also available, providing a great way to enjoy the beautiful surroundings. The service is very good, with friendly and attentive staff. Jenno’s Café is a nice place for a pleasant meal or coffee break.

We visited here on a Saturday with friends who are local to the area. The shop was very busy and the service took a very long time. The cake and milkshakes were beautiful. The cafe both Inside and out was also nice. It was just a shame we had to wait around 20 mins in line to be served.

Always got to try an independent coffee shop and this is a good one. Nice coffee, great food, lovely staff. Still the best coffee shop in Leicester.

A nice place and would be even better if you didn't have to wait an hour in a, queue for coffee. I would stop by if it was quieter but because it's just too busy, I'll avoid it in the future

Tuna sandwich is smelling fishy

The iced coffees I got were really good. I don't really get the appeal of fosse park but the staff here were smart, efficient, the place was clean and busy. There was a positive atmosphere but if you don't like places with hustle and bustle there's seating outdoors too.

What can I say, the soya mocha was delicious and so was the cake. Their food always is, we dat outside in the beautiful Spring sunshine, with a lovely view. What more could you ask for.
