Best of the best food, the chips are crucial and consistent throughout, burritos/chicken wings are tantalising and tender with the perfect amount of seasoning. Once you enter the shop you’re introduced by a mix of world class music, paired with top tier customer service. For my first time here it was an experience you would get a michelln star restaurant! Will be going again for many years to come and I recommend AMIGO DERBY to everyone and anyone!

Small place with seating, food was well made, not greasy and a good taste. Location isn't great and parking but worth a shot if going to train station

The burger was excellent; I would rate it 5 out of 5. I was happy to eat a burger with such a good macronutrient distribution since I'm on a diet. I am also very grateful that I was able to charge my phone, which allowed me to travel to London without any issues.

Had the chicken and beef burritos with pineapple salsa….beautiful, very impressed

RIP OFF. I came here, they had on the menu on the wall "Large Chips & Cheese". I asked for it, to be told they don't do large any more....Chips are chips how can you stop doing large chips when you still do chips? Potatoes are potatoes. So, I asked for a medium, only to be charged the same price as a large chips and cheese! I walked out. The price on the menu is the price that should be charged, by law. Illegal and immoral traders.

I really liked the food. Food was very tasty, freshly cooked and hot. Portion size was good and staff were very friendly. I will definitely will come back. You also should give it a try. 😊

First timer ordering the Food was delicious especially the Mexican chicken quesadilla , the amigos pappas frites were lovely too only downside was delivery said 55 mins but took about an hour and half but it all arrived hot

Amigo special quesailla was good but probably not worth 8.95. Hot kicking chicken wings had a nice bite but the breading taste like there was virtually no seasoning at all. 2: 2 years later I've tried their quesadilla deal thing and I quite liked it. Only around £6 and it came with guac, seasoned fries and two quesadillas. The fries were very nicely seasoned and the guacamole was really good. I'll bump my review up to 5 stars if amigos impresses me again. 3: I tried the fried chimmichungas with a chicken filling. The rice portion was huge. To be honest I would prefer to be able to swap the rice for fries. I was not impressed with the chicken filling at all, I could make it better myself. Not pleased with this menu option. They seem to have a loyalty scheme but evidently subsidise it by increasing general prices.

I ordered it at 18.15pm, it stated it would be here between 19.10pm and 19.30pm. At 19.10pm the order showed as being delivered. Rang the restaurant at 19.40pm to ask where the order was. Gentleman said it had only been picked up 4 minutes ago and the driver would be with us soon. Food arrived at 19.50pm

I went to this place with my family regularly. The food is good. The staffs are very nice. They offer a loyalty card discount from 15% to 30% discount to be used 7 times and on the 8th visit of this restaurant you will be offered bonus :free dish. I and my family went regularly and order at least three maximum four meals in each visit. But when the time for bonus free meal come …they offer only one dish which is not proportional to what we spent and what has been promised. The manager knew that we are a regular customer but he said the loyalty card is applicable for individual customers. If you go with family try to get a loyalty card for each of you. Any how we are now we are waiting the next order …

Super fast delivery. The packaging was really good - mainly paper. The food was a good temp and absolutely stunning

The owner of this business came and delivered to my house and threatened my partner. She was home alone and he shouted and swore at her at the door becuase it took him too long to get the order to her. He left saying you'd better watch out, I'll be back. What kind of person does this! Absolutely disgusting. Avoid at all costs. Will be taking this further.

Friday order was always going to be delivered late but food was wonderful really fresh and tasty.

I have been ordering from Amigos for the best part of 10 years Never again! I wish I could add photos! I don't know who has bought the takeaway in the last few years but the food has gone down hill massively! Greasy quesadillas and a mexican salad which has nothing mexican about it. Even the guacamole had a layer of grease on it, how?! Nevermind the fact it was delivered 55 minutes early and the restaurant wouldn't answer the phone! Disgusting food, disgusting customer service! Lost a customer! 😤

It was my first time ordering takeaway last weekend, and I was amazed by both the serving size and the taste of the food. You can choose to eat in or take your food away, and it’s conveniently located close to Derby Train Station.

I was a regular, always had positive things to say but recently it’s gone down hill. They kept ringing me to change my order because they didn’t have the things that were on the menu. The chicken wrap was really dry and not very nice and to top it off I had a loyalty card and got to 50%. I went to use it and was refused and only allowed 30%. That to me was the collapse of their integrity and I’ve given up on the place!

Very disappointed pre ordered this and then got a phone call 30 mins before it was due saying they wouldn’t be able to deliver at the time it had said so I asked for a refund and haven’t received it or haven’t had communication from them since

some food was missing, salads and rice, the rest was ok but not the same quality Amigo used to be.

Food was a bit cold but soon warmed up in the microwave. Could do with a bit more meat filling and smaller pieces of onion and pepper but it was very tasty and plenty of rice

If we want a Mexican takeaway we always order from Amigos. My husband loves their stuffed peppers. Never had a bad experience. Would recommend.

Amigos is a lovely hidden gem in plain sight! Owners that really care and staff that are really understanding of different dietary requirements and allow tailoring of items on the menu. I have not yet had a chance to explore more of the menu but at the moment my favourite item is the beef tacos. They come to my taste very palatable for most people but if you are more adventurous you can always have some chillies added to it. They accept cards and cash and have a small seating area inside. I would highly recommend that if you're in the local area or having a walk around town give them a go I doubt you'll be disappointed.

Think a change of ownership or staff has happened recently. Been going for the last 4 years and we’ve just had a chicken kebab that’s more than likely the reheat frozen chicken pieces you buy for your dog and it was just in a wrap (no pitta or naan) and our cheese and chips was very small it looked lost in the box. Rang up, staff said there has been a change to the menu? Whilst changing the menu they have also changed standards by the looks of it. End on a positive note though, the nachos with melted cheese were ok.

Pizza was a bit burnt and Tasted like cardboard. Besides, that The Nachos and chips were nice.

Food tasted good, was early and hot. Only fault I can say is the quesadilla have changed, used to to get a good 12" sized one but now only small for same price.

Yes,yes,yes 100 times YES! This place is A M A ZING!!! Hubby and I love mexican. The food is well cooked, presented and flavoured. The portions are a decent size and the prices are very agreeable. Our food has always come on time and is always hot. The staff have impeccable manners, and they are really lovely. Trust me this place is worth the money. I doubt we will be ordering from anywhere else now we have found them.

First and sadly maybe the last time trying here was a one off as we live at Durham! The staff here went above and beyond giving us loyalty discount although we are unlikely able to get food from here again been so far away!🥲 but it would be worth the travel 😉, definitely the best chilli nachos we have ate! We've been ordering from Amigo for a few years now and what we received today prompted us to write this review. The mexican rice was bland - virtually no flavour, so was the chimichanga, but what struck us the most was the fact that the sour cream was so diluted with water that it could pass as Elmlea Single Cream.. This is far from the quality we've been receiving so far. I understand that times are hard, but cutting corners on quality..? You can do better, Amigo.

I am not sure what has changed but food from Amigo is definitely not the same as a year ago. Even though I appreciate their discount codes and chunky portions, still it is not more important than good quality of food. I am so disappointed that I won't order again, and it used to be my favourite Mexican restaurant in the area.

The chicken quesadillas were absolutely nothing like what is shown in the pictures, they were totally flat, honestly don't know where the chicken was but I certainly didn't see any strips or chunks just sauce and cheese, absolutely no filling at all, even the Nacho's were very economical with the chicken and beef, I know ingredients are expensive now but it's not right that you skimp on them, chips were ok though but then why wouldn't they be, they're cheap

Food was delivered 15 minutes after the estimated delivery time. However, the food was piping hot, delicious and a massive portion which was great! Overall a great experience, will definitely order again!

We had an hour between trains at Derby station and needed a quick lunch. Very tasty food (we had vegetarian) served pleasantly in a spotlessly clean little cafe/takeaway.
