Lovely welcome from the bar manager and land lady as we walked in. The lounge bar and toilets were very clean. As the current land lady had just took over the running of the pub, there was no ales on offers. This is something that she is looking to get sorted in the not too distant future. Defo put this place on your list of pubs to visit when in the area. Good luck, Three Horseshoe's, see you again sometime!!

On arrival the pub was empty (1pm) Sunday lunch, no warm welcome. We ordered our Sunday lunch which came very quickly I suspect pre plated like warm food and jug of nuclear hot gravy. Small portion minimal veg and no mash as advertised. We asked for a side of stuffing but they had none, we got 2 carrots and 2 roast potatoes on the plate, then 10 min later we got a bowl of boiled cabbage and more boiled carrots. Very basic food we didn’t stay for pudding.

My family and I went here yesterday after hearing so much about it - and it did not disappoint. We had the 2 course set meal and it was absolutely delicious. There is still some renovation work going on, but it really didn't cause any bother. The interior decor is a bold blue, not necessarily my preference but I'm not losing sleep over it. This place has so much potential in terms of the venue and location, but the food - it's already sublime and a great foundation for an incredible pub/resturant.

Disappointed that ceasar salad was full of deep fried pitta bread & dressed with Marie Rose sauce not ceasar dressing Asked for salt to be given pepper in salt (one hole) container Portions generous just not necessarily what expected

The Plough is everything you could wish for in a country pub. Beautifully kept beer, cosy interior, always a warm welcome, good food and an absolutely stunning beer garden. The place is clearly loved by everyone in the community and with good reason. As a newcomer to the village I really appreciated the warm welcome. Highly recommended!
