The Apple Tree in Rushcliffe

Visited Apple tree in wilford on a sunday waited 1 hour and 20 minutes for a roast dinner. we ordered a 1 course meal half roast chicken, gammon dinner was not impressed by the meal when it came to us, chicken leg on the plates 😡( NOT a half roast chicken) pub was not busy at all so don't no why we had to wait 1 hour 20 minutes. We had Christmas Dinner at the same pub the Christmas dinner looked the same as the Sunday roasts, how bazaar !

Lovely place... Good service and nicely prepared food served hot. I love the open fires and decor which offer a lovely warm atmosphere. Staff are both friendly and helpful, I didn't have to wait around which makes a nice change... I just wish it was my own local.

Lovely place the chipotle chicken is amazing staff very friendly the real fire makes it welcoming and homely will be making this my regular from now on.

Wonderful Christmas Day dinner at the Apple Tree. The staff were incredibly welcoming, friendly and efficient. So accommodating when I said I have a back injury. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was was buzzing and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit, thank you.

Visited here with my parents and son, outstanding food and service. My 1 year olds food came out just before ours and he enjoyed every piece of it. Also a little section of toys in the children’s section to play for after. Our food was cooked to perfection the portion sizes were huge.. would like to do a special mention to our waitress lordes & to Claire who gave us a fantastic welcome Thankyou!

I love the decor, and the welcoming open fireplace (fire was lit today). There was only one person behind the bar, but he was friendly and helpful. The food came out quickly. My husband had a roast dinner, which he said was decent. I had Sea Bass, which was overcooked (although that's better than being undercooked), with soggy skin (fried then microwaved?), 3 bits of asparagus, and some new potatoes - they were al dente (fine for me) but tasteless and not seasoned. Standard pub chain food.

We have recently started visiting fairly regularly. The food is always hot, arrived promptly and the staff are friendly and keen to ensure your visit was satisfactory. This evening there was an issue with my meal which was resolved quickly which meant I wasn’t eating alone because the rest of my partly had finished their meal. There was no fuss just good service.

Been coming here for a couple of years, always had a lovely meal and great service, usually on a friday. Went last night for the steak offer on the app. The wait at the bar was ridiculous, only one lady serving rushing from one end of the bar to the other. Another lady appeared and we got served. Waited over half an hour for our meals, two steaks and one scampi. Had to ask for cutlery as weren't given any. The scampi was ok however the steaks were awful, chewy tough and very bloody. My son and my hubby had to keep spitting it into a tissue. No one came over to ask if all was ok. The usual staff were not there, the long haired gent and the very dark haired lady, they are brilliant. We had our xmas day dinner here last year which was fantastic, and were going to book again this year, with extra family members but are now looking else ware. Very disappointed

Had dinner with a bottomless drinks package that was fantastic value for money. We were really well looked after throughout and lady rose was singing which was a lovely added perk.

Such a disappointing visit. I asked at the bar if I could have the Vegan Burger but with actual cheese rather than vegan as I'm veggie not vegan. The server asked someone from the kitchen to come out and review the request to make sure it was okay. The girl from the kitchen came out and rolled her eyes in front of me. I asked the server what the problem was and she explained it was a vegan burger not veggie. I didn't feel the server was at fault but was trying to tip toe around the cook having a whinge at the request. What I asked was a very simple request. She made me feel such a burden. Mum ordered fish and chips, was mostly batter and fish was such poor quality. Came with about 10 chips. Butter was rock hard on bread and butter so unspreadable. Food took about 35 mins to come and there was hardly anyone in. The team leader seemed to look over and see my Mum hadn't eaten her meal at all but didn't approach us to find out why. Probably didn't care enough. Been many times and always found it good but will never come back after such a bad experience and rude staff who don't appreciate the business. Was booked for Father's Day tomorrow but cancelled because the place doesn't deserve the custom.

Made the journey with family yesterday looking for some nice food and a friendly atmosphere. Unfortunately the apple tree had neither. Lazy staff, poor service ( the landlady who I must admit has a booming masculine voice that could be heard throughout the public house) just chatting not assisting staff! Food was a disappointment raw vegetables and burnt potatoes, not hot how I like my food! Such a strange atmosphere not friendly at all. And the dogs!!!???? When customers are there to eat!! However the gin selection was refreshing but definitely won’t be returning.

We went here for my mums 50th birthday meal, there was a group of 15 adults and 5 children. Service was amazing and food was so tasty... the menu had plenty of choice and something for everyone. The staff were really helpful when we made a few changes to the order, and they checked back to make sure everything was ok. Staff including manager was really friendly and made us feel very welcome. We held a baby shower for my sister at The Apple Tree earlier today and everyone has been raving about how great it was. The manager was so attentive and helped us getting everything set up, nothing we asked was too much. The day went so well that my family is now planning on holding my granddad's 90th here. We chose the buffet option B with some vegetarian/vegan options. The food was delicious and certainly not your standard buffet fare. A lovely range of food and reasonably priced. We cannot thank you enough for the hospitality that you showed us. Definitely a 5/5 and will certainly recommend. A brilliant end to a hectic but wonderful week where my nephew decided to make an impromptu appearance 6 days ago, obviously desperate to attend the party :D

Asked by the waiting staff if everything is ok with our meals but found out they really not care for your true opinion if nothing but positive. Had a problem with my lunch which I have ordered before but today was just not up to scratch with the side salad garnish missing and the lattice fries looking as if they were made up from bits left at the bottom of the fryer. Generally did not taste that great. When the manageress came over felt like I was being told off - I was not after a remedy or money off just passing on my feedback. Just not going to go back or alternatively remember to say everything is fine, even when it is not.

Wednesday afternoon decided to have a drink in the sunshine, had to wait at the bar to be served as no staff present, one member of staff in the back and another chatting to her boyfriend in the main bar and had to ask if anyone was serving, when eventually served by a young man he was nonchalant and couldn't be bothered it was if I was a irritant not even an apology for being kept waiting. On sitting outside there were numerous tables that were full of glasses and plates, we were there for 2 hours and these were still there when we left !!!! Toilets although actual toilet was clean all the walls and doors were dirty and stained not sure what the cleaners are being paid for. This venue has really gone down hill and we will not be going again,

El domingo Fuimos un grupo de 6, 2 almuerzo de domingo que carne era prácticamente incomible, pastel de pollo 1 había que era insípido y 3 tenían torta de carne, que era bueno.

Llevé a mi hija abuela y su bebé para el almuerzo en el menú de la cena comimos sí era 6.99 cada uno, pero en miedo mi comida era incomible. Entrantes sopa bien y eran Nachos tuve que esperar mucho tiempo para estos. Campo principal de una hora. Cuando llegamos, mis hijas pasta puré seco mi salchicha y puré era repugnante de enviarlo más barato y se calentó salchichas con un montón de sal en niños. Me dieron mi dinero de mi comida, pero ninguna disculpa o explicación. No contentos con comida o servicio no volveremos ni lo recomendaremos.

Un auténtico desastre!!! 1 horas y 15 minutos de espera por £48 botas vale la pena vieja. 2 x mezclado, parrillas y un bistec serloin que sólo puede identificarse a través de sus registros dentales. Juego justo el director que dio un reembolso completo (gracias), pero... Venga por la noche wed... No es bueno. Cero de 10... Más personal y un cocinero que sabe lo que significa medio!!!!! For a Sunday lunchtime at 1pm it was pretty quiet here, we’d eaten here in the past and experiences were variable but overall we’d been satisfied enough to return, after our experiences on this occasion however we’ll definitely never be back.

Recommended to go here for a family lunch. It was a decent lunch with good pub food, but nothing spectacular. The service seemed a bit slow, but that might have been because we needed to get somewhere else , so not a big issue. The bar manager was really helpful and very friendly. Full marks to him. Would eat there again.

Came in on Wednesday 2nd august! Food was awful sent it back not once but TWICE!! The server Tom gave me attitude and told me the food was pre packed to then quickly change his comment to freshly made!! My boyfriend went and complained about my food as i refused to eat it and we was out in a group and i was the only one that had not eaten the meal!! Not only did the manger not offer us anything for the food being disgusting that i wouldn't wish on my worst enemy to eat, but there was no check backs made once!! Working in this industry i know full well check backs are a must!! Especially when theres food involved!! When i mention at the bar about the server Tom the barman made it very clear that he is very snappy and sharp when it comes to issues like this!! If you knew your staff had attitude like this i would not employ them as a pub trade serving food with a very big company could ruin the reputation being built up!! Only takes a few words of mouth to stop people coming back!! I shell not be returning!!

Came here for drinks on Friday, slightly busy but even though that they were able to cope with the pressure. Great range of drinks and the staff are so friendly. I will continue to go to my local pub as its great every time I go.

15 of us went out for my birthday on Saturday 16-7-16. We all had the 2 course set menu which was fantastic value for money. A few of us had the fish & chips and that was lovely followed by the apple pie & custard. Very yummy :) All meals was served together (which was my big concern) and the staff was spot on. We had great service from all the team that looked after us during the afternoon. They couldn't have done anything any better. It was a lovely day and I was so grateful it all went to plan. Thanks again to Giuseppe, Welsey and the lovely girl behind the bar who served us that day (sorry didn't catch her name :(Hope you guys enjoyed the hamburger birthday cake as much as we all did :) Thanks again, your a great team. Three of us called in on Sunday 24 July. We hadn't been in for several years. The regulars looked at us as if we had come in from outer space. We asked the barmaid for 2 beers and a Tonic water (designated driver) and was immediately told..in a snappy voice...by a dark haired female with a ponytail.."No Ice!!" Charming! We won't be going in there again. There's no excuse for bad customer service in any business.

Staying at the premier inn just down the road I ate at the fayre and square chain next door - big mistake! It's a drinkers pub and the food was sub standard. Take the 10 minute walk down the road and enjoy and better atmosphere, better quality food, better drink! - just wish I had known this place existed the day before! - travelling on business ate by my self and felt very comfortable, staff were friendly and overall a very pleasant experience !
