The Village Kitchen in Rushcliffe

Words cannot describe my love for this place, genuinely make some of the best takeaway pizzas, curly fries, cheesy garlic bread and gyros.

We had a delivery from Village kitchen last night. Their driver drove his car across our garden causing significant damage. I’ve spoken to the owner who has said that he takes no responsibility. He’s told me that he doesn’t check that any of his drivers are licensed or insured and doesn’t even have an address for them. Think twice before risking having these people deliver to your home.

Fabulous food, delivery is always quicker than they estimate (big fan of under promise and over deliver). Staff are lovely, really friendly and accommodating. Would happily rate higher than 5 stars if I could.

First time trying from the Village Kitchen, ordered a kebab, Food arrived cold and portion tiny. Very disappointed. Will use other options in the village in future.

Second takeaway had from here. First was good. Tonight is completely garbage. Everything cold and soggy. Just off to work and was offered to have Everything cooked again. Sorry. Everything they've sent is below 63celsius. Against the law to send food out that cold. Will speak to local council tomorrow. If I don't die of course.

Just tried the Village for Friday tea... we ordered at 1720, by 1750 our tea was delivered. Not the cheapest but the pizzas were lovely. Will definitely use again !!

Super quick delivery, delicious pizzas and great deal. Easy pay via link sent to phone! Garlic bread was a little too oily but otherwise yum!

Young man at the till was very welcoming. Service was good. Food was average.

the pizzas are so good and hot even after delivery which was fairly quick, the chicken shawarma is also really good!! my first time trying them and i love them ^^ definitely recommend and would order again

Tasty food at decent prices, staff are friendly and accommodating, deserves to be a good success. Used them several times now and never been disappointed, well worth a visit.

My pizza came and it was stone cold the toppings had all slid off the top of the pizza I ordered from them last time and it was disgusting

First time using village kitchen and it will be my last. Quick delivery but pizzas very greasy and worst of all, the dips were FULL of hair (not mine). No one wants to be fishing out black hairs out of their food. It is so not ok.

i ordered a pepperoni pizza to share with my girlfriend it arrived 40 minutes before it was said to arrive which was inconvenient for us as we were on a dog walk. when we got the pizza it arrived with olives tomato peppers which clearly wasn't my order. their were also hairs on one of the slices im never ordering again and for some reason the delivery was 5 pound even though im a 10 minute drive away

Placed an order for delivery this evening for myself and my two boys. When our order arrive my son found a long black hair I his burger and in the fries. I contact them to discuss this and they said they wouldn't give me a refund but would come and collect the burger and replace it which I said no to as by this point I had sorted something else for my son to eat. At which point I requested a refund and had the phone put down on my by the owner.!!!! Discussed at the telephone Manor off the owner!!!! Foul Manor towards customers.

Service was very quick and i really enjoyed the food

Sadly we have been badly let down tonight. We asked for delivery at 7 pm. They turned up at 6.15 and I had to turn them away as we had a meeting scheduled until 7. I rang and specifically requested fresh food to Be redeluvered at 7 and we got clearly microwave reheated food with soggy chips and nachos and disgustingly soggy salad.

I am embarrassed to say we order from here way more than we should! Delicious food, delivered quickly and at an excellent price. Well recommended, especially the gyros and pizzas.

While this is a pizza place, pizza is not the first thing I'd recommend off the menu. It's decent, HOWEVER, their calzones, kebabs, and chips are all the best. A 12" calzone is large enough for 2. Absolutely delicious. They have very friendly service and delivery is really fast.

Food was very greasy I asked for shawarma salad it was floating in grease not very warm either will not return

Well organised takeaway I had the Donna kebab and sorry to say the Donna meat was cold the rest was ok but it is not an authentic nan bread either more like a wrap/flatbread

A cool Sunday....we needed sustenance, this looked okay. Okay? Well, I would say it was way better than okay - delicious Gyros halloumi (& halloumi+chicken) wraps, tasty pizza - highly recommended! We will return!

We ordered from here after being told it was amazing and they weren't wrong some of the best food we have had in a long time. Staff were very friendly and the price is very reasonable for how good the food is we will definitely be coming back.

This is good quality food at very reasonable prices. We've been here a few times now and have always been impressed by the service, attention to what the customer wants, and the straightforward value for money. Excellent local takeaway with a good range of food and deserves to be successful.

Really love the food. Me and my husband love the mixed gyros & the tagliatelle carbonara, both are so good. The portions they give are also good for thr price you are paying. Would highly recommend
