Excellent food Great customer service

I enjoyed a quick pancake roll from the takeaway service. £2.90. It was very hot and crispy but a lack of content. 98% bean sprouts roll and 2% pork. Just not enough in it or flavour. Sadly as well not a pancake but a large wonton wrapper. I don't expect much but this is false advertising. Call it a large bean sprouts roll wrapper. If they had a sauce with it more stars but not a pancake roll at all. Sad!

First time visiting since 2017 when let's just say it was a haven for drug heads. How ever on my visit today I can't tell you how pleased and excellent the service and the atmosphere was 1000% completely different experience. Met the landlady Coady friendly, really wants to give the place a good go. Personally I wish her and her staff every success and I urge people to give this place another go. Had the most exquisitely perfectly cooked piece of pork I've ever had in my life last night! The special was pork loin with roast pots, veg and a delicious sauce, my 2 friends had the surf and turf with chips, and we all had the fantastic pork terrine starter! I forgot to take a pic of my delicious creme brulée desert, with strawberries and blueberries, even better than any I had in my 4 years living in Paris! How lucky we are to have such amazing pub food here in Ockbrook... beat a path to the door of the Royal Oak, a wonderful pub with a wonderful atmosphere, cosy snugs, friendly staff and the Ockbrook Big Band in the summer there is not to be missed...

ordered 3 currys all were exceptionally hot, when we ordered 1 mild and 2 medium to the extent uneatable. This is ashame as we normally love the food but has gone down hill
