The best restaurants in Erewash East Midlands

First time visiting since 2017 when let's just say it was a haven for drug heads. How ever on my visit today I can't tell you how pleased and excellent the service and the atmosphere was 1000% completely different experience. Met the landlady Coady friendly, really wants to give the place a good go. Personally I wish her and her staff every success and I urge people to give this place another go. 17 quid for an average pizza and 4 slices of garlic bread, that was a once only order from me, no thanks for future orders!

It will be my first time attending the restaurant with my parents and in the countryside. I love my local food 😋.

Great old pub that we visit every year during the summer months, food was ok, and this year seems like standards have slipped, paddock area in the garden looking very tired and in need of a makeover, had 2 pints and only one was decent, would return but hopefully improvements made

Ordered a few times from here, it is delicious and lots of chicken in the curry, would highly recommend

I've been going here for many years with family and friends and the Dovecote restaurant upstairs for special occasions we even had my my sister's wedding at the hotel all i can say is ive never had a bad meal or experience the food is always beautify cooked and presented and has a fantastic range of gastro style pub food done extremely well and very reasonably priced in a lovely cosy location but i can't leave a review without giving a massive thank you to the Amazing bar staff and team they are nothing less than impeccable they make you feel extremely welcome and are polite, helpful and couldn't do enough for you this is how a bar should be run. It goes without saying but as i have for many years i would highly recommend Morley Hayes and Roosters Bar for any occasion a big thank you for all the lovely memories D'Arcy ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We had been supporting this pub for years, even after Covid, you expect changes but this has been sliding for a while, even though some friends said it was bad, we thought we would still try for my wife birthday, last week was the final straw, slow, slow service from the kitchen, veg re heated and over cooked, salmon - over cooked.. and slow slow from the kitchen. we asked for more chips as the were mildly warm at best, by the time they came we were on to our last mouthful. Tried to tell them at the bar - they said we will tell the chef - no reduction. We emailed them, no reply.... Probably the best pubs in the world??? no guys, no chance, i could swap out best for a few different descriptions.

Terrible all round! kids running riot, food was pathetic - ... supposed to be a sizzling pub...there was no sizzle on the plate....in fact it was ironically cold and the most smallest, dry tasteless fillet of chicken I've ever had!!! (when I queried the waiter he said he waited for said food to stop sizzling as it was burning his hand) with a very small portion of peppers and onion, chips rock hard.. they served my partner first then myself 10 minutes later... which is bad etiquette!! the burger and chips were miniscule - cold, overcooked and tasteless, it's a shame as this used to be a good place with delicious food, gone way downhill since the refurb. All in all a let down. Avoid!!!!
