This place is advertised as an eat in restaurant but was only takeaway when we visited! Had to find somewhere else to eat

Food is lovely! And always is. The receptionist however is extremely rude, and shouldnt work in customer service. We order quite frequently, and they are more than happy to substitute some items out of the box meal for us. On the phone, this new receptionist said that she ‘cannot pick out the items we want’ and this is not an attainable thing to do on a busy night. Understandable, when it is busy i can recognise that this can be a time consuming thing to do, but it is never an issue with the owners normally. The receptionists attitude was extremely rude, and not a good person for customer service. Her whole demeanour on the phone was quite blatantly horrific, and makes me not want to return to the restaurant!

Consistently good food. It's much better than the local competition. Highly recommended.

We ordered one of the munch boxes as we’ve been wanting to try one. It was our first time ordering from here and we weren’t disappointed!! There is so much food in the munch boxes and it was delicious!! 10/10 would recommend! Was delivered quickly too :)

Reluctant to share this review.. I worked for this company for approx a year back in 2021 as a driver, we was super busy and the food was the best! Me and some mates decided to order and i was shocked to see how bad this company is now.. the driver wasn't the best, long wait on a delivery and not the most polite person to be honest. Food was nothing like it ust to be, it was mid at best, warm, soggy and rather bland. Call handler also had no idea when we rang to see where our order was. What happened! Such a shame really is. Edit: yes i did work for you hui and jon. I worked the same year as cameron, adam, tony and mike. Edit 2: thank you for rremoving the abuse from you're response.. uncalled for!

Can't order online with card but takes money out of bank

The egg fried rice did not have any egg in it. The chicken balls were chicken nuggets, and the black bean sauce was thick and congealed. On the plus side they sent some prawn crackers. Lol.

Very good Chinese food, very friendly staff giving excellent service. We were recommended by a friend and so glad we tried them. We now go once most weekends.

Rude! Chips cold and soggy! Seen cctv proof and listened to the vile conversation they was giving abuse down the phone! Simply carnt own up! Over 1h 30 mins late!! Cause my mate partner stress as she is not happy and 38 weeks pregnant

Ordered takeaway which arrived before the allotted time and piping hot. We weren't sure if Prawn Crackers would be included so ordered some of those too and were pleasantly surprised to be given some free spring rolls instead. Delicious food and generous portions.

Nice but not what I ordered. Ordered pancake roll, got lots of little rolls with sweet and sour sauce

Terrible attitude from staff once they have ya cash not bothered sent half a order to normal never again was to much trouble for food correction or money back after lots of cash spent easier for them to hang up than listen to the trutthhere dirty people and very rude.

Nice food, always arrives on time, pleasant staff, clean premises, polite & friendly delivery drivers.

We enjoy their variety and delivery is always quick. We once left the food in the bag for an hour and a half as we had an emergency at home, and it still tasted good and still warm(ish). Eaten here 4 times now and will keep coming back.

Really good Chinese with an excellent online ordering service which gives you a countdown to your food being ready. Exception value on the set meal offers and the food is very good, portions are good and seems good quality ingredients are used.

I wont ever order from any other Chinese. The prices can be slightly cheaper elsewhere, but we’ve never been disappointed here. Tubs aren’t 90% veg, it’s always hot, usually delivered very quick, can’t think of a time we’ve had a complaint with the food.

I've tried many Chinese takeaways in Ilkeston and this has Ben my favourite for some time. I've never had a bad meal from here. They have a "C Set meal for 2" that costs £20 and is immense! There's so much food it can serve 3! The one downside is there's often delays on collecting the food. The last time I ordered, they said they could have it ready for 7pm. I asked for it to be ready for 7:20pm instead...and they were still 20 minutes late, leaving me hanging around - and this was for collection. They need to be honest when people are placing orders, whether they can have it ready for the agreed time or not. Aside from that though, no issues.

Ordered twice and loved my meal. Food was ready within 10mins and I was able to pick up and enjoy my meal while still hot.

Great tasty meals from a takeaway menu, loads of choices always order from here, one of the best in ilkeston. Good fast delivery or collection. defo recommend.

Never eating from here again. Undercooked chicken in what seems to be double? Cooked batter. Everything else bland. Used to be good. Waste of money.

First time trying food from this establishment and how it has received 5 stars is beyond me. Food was absolutely flavourless and the last time the food saw a wok was before it was frozen and microwaved (hence the lack of flavour)! The “supposed” fried rice had so much water in it it looked more like risotto and combined every dish unfortunately tasted exactly the same as the one next to it! Very disappointed!

This used to be our go to Chinese, but sadly it seems as they have gotten better know service has slacked it took over an hour for food to arrive, no prawn crackers were added even though we spent a decent amount on food, in fairness the food was ok when it arrived but service has really gone down unfortunately it’s back to China red we go

Absolutely fantastic! New favourite Chinese! This was recommended by a work colleague and she was spot on. The chicken satay skewers were delicious and everything else was great. Big portions, we had enough left for tomorrow. Highly recommended!

We have always eaten from here tonight Monday 25th July 2022 was a disaster the box meal had raw chicken balls in it. what our children had started to eat when we spoke to shop staff and manger they was really rude said it not there folt I do not recommend 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮

A well cooked, great tasting selection of food. We had our choice from a vast selection on offer on the menu delivered. The delivery was swift and all the food was hot. The portions on offer were large allowing 3 people to enjoy a good share each enabling us to try different options. I would highly recommend due to the quality of the food and the reasonable prices.

Having lived many years in Hong Kong,'g can honestly say this is the best Chinese takeaway I've had in this area! On time, red hot, delicious food, authentic, lovely staff answering phone. I could go on, with only complimentary views. Thank you Jade Dragon! MARIA Ilkeston 😋🤩

Thankyou to everyone at Jade Dragon for my wonderful fresh tasty food tonight. Even though I asked for an order slightly off menu, my requests were catered for without fuss. Not at all oily or greasy, and flavours were perfectly authentic 👌 the Satay took me straight to Malaysia. Highly recommend.

Take my money and didn't deliver girls on telephone, was so rude not apologetic at all and put the phone down on me when asked for my money back terrible customer service AVOID!!!!

Possibly the best Chinese take away in Ilkeston. The food is good and the quality is excellent, the portion size is great 👍, what's not to like?

Chicken fried rice was nice, chicken balls were OK but abit doughy chips were not great either..curry sauce was very nice.

Best Chinese takeaway in the town and not just in Ilkeston. We order Asian food only from them regularly. The staff is very nice. Orders are taken quick. Delivery is also smooth. All you want is a solid service. They do it for you.

Fast fresh and amazing Chinese well worth the money and even got some free items bonus in my eyes .

Had a takeaway during tier 3 restrictions. Food arrived when it said it would and was hot and fresh. We had ordered 2 starters, 4 mains and a rice. We received a few free extras, prawn crackers, some samosas and a main which was beef, mixed veg and rice. In total it was £35 including delivery. It was all very tasty and was enough for us for 2 nights (we are not big eaters though). Very tasty and would recommend. We will go once they get to reopen as a restaurant. The beef with garlic and chilli was super spicy!

Lovely meals the best will use them again

this is my first time i have ordered from them last night and it not be the last time. it was so nice and hot and it taste so nice and its the best Chinese i have had in a long time. and its my birthday on Friday and my Girlfriend is coming over Friday night and am going to treat her to one

Orders a munchie box and some other bits (£40 total order) at 3:41 The amount of food in the munchie box would have fed all 4 of us for 2 very big meals so we have lots of left overs for munchies later The quality of food was outstanding Women over the phone was brilliant and more then helpful, (I start work at 5 and said I need the food ASAP) the food arrives at 4:09 now that is amazing Food was delivered piping hot by a very friendly driver who couldn't stop smiling I will be ordering from here from now on after being a loyal customer to a different Chinese for several years Thanks again!!!

Been here two time’s since lockdown as our usual Chinese was shut. Really impressed with the food and will continue to get a takeaway from here. Tasty dishes. Salted and spicy chicken was lovely and so was the Thai mixed chicken and veg with lettuce, a real treat. Quick, efficient service. Chicken Cantonese was really nice first time, sauce was a little runny the second time but still a good taste.

Terrible, ordered Singapore chow main, luckily I found 1 piece of meat, basically I paid full price for something that was worth about a quid,,,, never again

Amazing!! First time trying, ordered the pizza box after hearing good reviews, despite the circumstances having a longer delivery time than normal it arrived a lot quicker than expected and the delivery driver was so lovely! The food itself was amazing! They stated the pizza box would be suitable for 3 but as there are 3 of us and we're all so greedy we ordered an extra portion of chicken and boy did we not need it! There was sooo much food! I would say it would even suit 4 people! But such a good variety and soooo tasty! :) our new favourite!

Dined in with work friends and it was absolutely amazing! The staff are so lovely and attentive, and the food was so good! Will definitely be returning! I even took some home as take away!

The food is the best I've ever eaten bar none! I can fully recommend eating in the restaurant too, friendly, helpful staff, in a nice relaxed atmosphere and good value for money. When placing an order for delivery the food is always with me very quickly and the drivers are also friendly. All in all this place is very deserving of a 5 star review!

Just spent a lovely evening in the restaurant, celebrating a family birthday. The food was delicious and plenty of it. Nothing was too much trouble and the staff were very friendly. All the dishes were lovely and hot and then were treated to ice cream and macaroons on the house. will definitely be back.

Just had the set meal for 2 on a delivery and it was one of the best Chinese takeaways that I've had. We had a portion yuk sung as well & again it was the nicest I've had. Very good quality ingredients and nice & hot. We will definitely use again 👍

First time sitting in the restaurant today and was as impressed with the food as I have been with the 3 takeouts we've had. Particularly like the fine batter that was round my sweet and sour fish.. They do my fave meal very well too..Lemon chicken..the lemon sauce is in a separate container and the 2 large pieces of chicken breast sits on some salad..great if you want to share some chicken with someone who doesn't like the sauce.

I have an allergy to barbecue sauce I ordered dry ribs which came in barbecue sauce. Phoned and spoke to the chef who told me I did not state I had a allergy. Yes I did when I ordered and even sent you messing £23 pounds down be drain starving thanks.
